Married happily to an airline pilot. This will be my 1st baby. But if you count my beloved cats I have 2 already!!! Always moving and traveling!!

  • Question about hcg levels and previous ectopic!?

Ok, so I found out last wk I'm pregnant with a hpt. Then immediatly called the doc because of my previous ectopic pregnancy 2 months BEFORE I conceived my now 15 month old son ( I had to have my left tube removed!), who I've been breastfeeding and NEVER got a period so I don't know how far along I am. Anyways, this Tuesday morning I started spotting a light brown and freaked. So, the doctor ordered an hcg test and it was only 31!!! So, I couldn't stay calm, and ended up going to the E.R. that night, and they did and ultrasound and saw nothing, anywhere! So, then this morning 72 hrs. later I went in for my 2nd hcg test which was 105!! It tripled....So my ? is, if I'm still spotting is there a chance it could turn out to be normal? With my previous ectopic I had NO pain and spotting for 2-3wks, then they saw the heartbeat in the tube!! I'm SOOO worried and can't help worrying about every little tender spot down there, or twinge! Has ANYONE experienced anything similar? THANKS!

  • My 14 month old isn't calling me "mama" yet???

He can say dog, whoa, dada, and mama. But doesn't say mama NEARLY as often as dada! And when he says either mama or dada it isn't in reference to either of us? I do, when my husband's gone say "where's dada"? and he'll look around, and when my husband does the same he looks around as well. He listens to many commands, and points and says "dat" (what's that) at EVERYTHING! He's got a great sense of humor, and knows the kitty's when I say "where's the kitty?", so I know he understands me. When I say "where's mama" when I'm right there he doesn't do anything, and sometimes he even laughs at me when I say "say mama"!! I don't feel there's anything wrong with him, I just think he should be saying it by now! I'm with him ALL day long, and my husband is gone a lot for works (he's a pilot and gone about 2wks at a time) so I don't know if this could be the reason. He doesn't even say it when he's REALLY upset?? Anyways just wanted to know if that's "normal" THANKS!

  • I don't feel like my baby likes me?? (posted in other groups!)?

My son is 1 year old and very outgoing! ALWAYS on the go, especially lately. But, it sometimes feels like he would go with ANYONE with boobs. I still breastfeed and that's the only time he seems to fully NEED me! He only says dada, even though I'M the one who's taking care of him all day (my husband's a pilot, gone for 2-3wks at a time!!!). When my sister or mom come over it's like he doesn't really care if I'm there or not! And when I leave if my husband's home he doesn't protest at all..... I REALLY wanted my baby to be cuddly and loving, but he's not, at least not yet, if he ever will be? He did have a couple weeks a few weeks back, when he'd come up to me and lay his head on me! But, not lately??? He does listen when I ask him to do things, most of the time, so I know he can communicate. But, shouldn't he be saying mama at least by now??? I feel sad, I didn't want a clingy baby, but one that knows I'm his mama!!! Is anyone else in the same boat, or been there before??? Thanks!!

  • In desperate need of help! Need advice!!!! Posted in other groups!?

Here's some background: My son's now 10 months, he's always slept in our room in his crib, and I've breastfed him exclusively, he eats solids and nurses during the day, and he's a good weight of about 22pnds! Everything else is going well except for the past 2 months he's been waking every 1 1/2 - 3 hours at night???? He has 8 teeth (4 just recently and I know that was part of the problem) teething! Anyways, the only way he normally goes back to sleep is nursing, but he doesn't nurse long like he's hungry just to get back to sleep (for comfort). We've tried to let him "SCREAM it out" (because that's what he does) he just gets so worked up and doesn't stop, plus, I don't like that method at all!!! He's also in the past couple of weeks, discovered how to sit up from a lying down position, and how to pull himself up, so he also practices these things at night as well. And when he wakes up sometimes he's just SO energized and trying to crawl and "talking" etc. Anyone else had this problem?

  • Is is normal for an 8 month old NOT to show affection???

He smiles a lot and laughs with me, but doesn't hug or like to be hugged, or kiss me? I do breastfeed him, and thought that would create a stronger bond than bottle feeding. When I do try and hug him he either puts his arms out to the side, and doesn't put them around me, or he'll swat or push at me to get me to leave him alone? He's a VERY hyper baby, always wanting to go go go. He's never content for too long, and won't even sit still with me in my lap for more than 5 minutes????? It's frustrating and kinda feels like he doesn't care whether I'm there or not!!! I also feel sad when other people carry him around or watch him for a little while and he seems not to notice that I'm there! Is this normal? I want him to cuddle and need me......Is that asking too much from an 8 month old little boy. This is my 1st baby too, so I don't know how it should be, although I know they're ALL different..... Thanks for the advice!!!!

  • Is this normal to have happen when you have morning sicknes??

My sister called me this morning worried that something was wrong. She's been having morning sickness for a few weeks now but this morning she said she threw up yellow liquid and it was very bitter tasting. She hadn't had anything to eat or drink yet, and takes her prenatal vitamins at night. Then she had a waffle a little later and threw that up a little while later with the same yellow liquid?? I never had morning sickness and didn't know if that's "normal". Anyone ever experienced this before?? Thanks for your help!!!!

  • Anyone else have these problems with their 7 month old??!!!!?

My son is 7 months and has his 2 bottom teeth and the other 2 top teeth are coming in now. He pulls at his ears a lot lately, he did this with his other teeth as well, but he's not crying like it's an ear infection and he hasn't EVER been sick! He does scream lately (like the last couple weeks) a high pitched scream, not crying either, just to hear himself kinda scream. REALLY loud though!! And he's been swatting at things like he's hitting them, including our faces!! And when I try and kiss him or hug him he gets frustrated and acts like he's trying to push me away, not all the time though? I would like him to cuddle and be calm and content, but he seems like he's always kinda frustrated and wanting to go go go!!?? What has your experiences been with a baby this age?? I know they're all different but is this normal?? 1st time mom! THANKS!
