31 AnswersVegetarian & Vegan1 decade agoWhy can't Vegans use wool?
I have just been approached by a good friend of mine who farms sheep for wool, he has around 350 - 400 at any one time. he was recently accosted, quite violently, by two persons stating they were vegans, and that sheep should not be used in this way.
As the wool is clipped during the hot weather to prevent the animal from dying from heatstroke, why can't the waste material be used?
Or shall we let them die?
14 AnswersVegetarian & Vegan1 decade agoWhere are the taxes going to come from.?
With regard to the new smoking ban, it was mentioned on tv that over 13billion UKP are raised each year from the taxation on smoking. Currently the bill to the National Health Service due to smoking related diseases is around 1.5 billion UKP, a nice net profit of 11.5 billion.
So where are these lost taxes going to come from?
5 AnswersUnited Kingdom1 decade agoVeg*ns, care to discuss this?
Romans, Chapter 14
Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters. One man's faith allows him to eat everything, but another man, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. The man who eats everything must not look down on him who does not, and the man who does not eat everything must not condemn the man who does, for God has accepted him. Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
Ashley et al, might care to take note.

Bang goes all those animal pastures.
3 AnswersVegetarian & Vegan1 decade agoCan you configure the new Sky broadband router for bridge mode?
Having replaced a D-link router with a Netgear DG834GT as supplied by Sky Broadband, there doesn't appear to be any way to be able to configure the unit to operate in bridge mode i.e. direct access point to access point connection.
Any ideas?

10 AnswersEconomics1 decade agoWhy do I have to pay for a TV licence for the BBC when all of my TV is supplied by Sky?
When we had no choice as to the availability of TV channels the licence fee was used as a government induced indirect form of taxation, now, with third party suppliers of programming being available, Sky, NTL et.al. there is no longer a need to pay for BBC programming support (sic).
Perhaps users of independant suppliers should get together to have this form of taxation removed as we are at present being charged twice for the same access.
