  • What's wrong with my fantail goldfish?

My black-moor goldfish died last week, it sat on the bottom of the tank but had no other symptoms of illness, it ate well. I separated it from the tank as I was trying to find out what was wrong but it passed away.

My fantail is now showing a few signs of distress, I have looked up the diseases but it has many symptoms so want to make sure I have the right problem.

It swims about alot but when it stops it seems to balance on its nose, it has very recently started rubbing against the gravel and the side of the tank. Its tail fins have become slightly black in patches and my zebra danios keep nipping his tail. My other normal goldfish seems slightly lethargic too but no other symptoms. All other fish in the tank are happy.

I have recently changed the entire water in the tank, I never use any chemicals to clean it. I have fed them shelled peas and cucumber to maybe help. I'm thinking about perhaps doing an ammonia test or nitrate, but that doesn't explain the rubbing.

Should I remove the fish from the tank?

    Thank you

  • What do I do with the rat in my garden?

I have seen a rat living in my garden, hes been living under the shed for about a month and he was attracted by my bird feeders which I have now removed. I do not want to kill it, I don't see any need to, our house is detached and there are no children or bins or broken drainage or anything for it to climb into or destroy. The problem is, I was hoping it would disappear when the food was gone but I now see it climbing into the hedge and eating the berries, so it clearly doesn't want to move on. There is only 1 rat and as long as others don't come I wonder if it is ok just to ignore it? Or should I consider buying a humane trap and let it go in the woodlands? Serious answers would be helpful and remember I do not want to kill it. Thank you

  • Has anyone tried slimming patches or diet pills?

My friend tried diet pills and made her quite poorly, perhaps because some contain speed. So I'd be worried to try them. I also wondered if anyone has had success with diet patches.

I don't want to hear comments about eating healthily or excersie because I already do that, I don't want to hear about weight watchers or slimming world or any other comments other than answers that directly relate to my question which no-one ever seems to be able to do.

If you know nothing about diet pills or patches please don't bother answering.

Anyone who is helpful then thank you.

  • Has your boyfriend ever done this?

I live with my boyfriend and we have been together for two years. Recently he was showing me pictures or himself at school and university and there were some of him and his ex girlfriends in there so I asked him to get rid of those because I didn't want them in our house, I didn't hit the roof but he did, he went mental until eventually he threw them in the bin. Now if it had been me I would have understood his feelings and let go of them. These were only short relationships he had say a few months, and it doesn't bug me but surely no girl wants to see other girls with their boyfriend? Whats your opinion? xx
