How do we improve dog food flavor and stay kidney-safe?
Our dog was diagnosed with stage-1 kidney failure. We switched to Hills k/d - we mix the kibble with the canned and (try to) feed her twice a day. Usually she won't eat in the morning but does eat in the evening. We can't free-feed because our other dog will eat the food the moment our backs are turned. I am seeking recommendations for improving the food's flavor while remaining kidney-safe (low protein, low sodium, low phosphorous). So far I've read about using low sodium broth, or cottage cheese (would't that be high in protein?) Any suggestions?
2 AnswersDogs6 years agoIs is rude to comment on someone's meal when they are eating at their desk?
Like many employees today, I eat my lunch at my desk when I'm very busy. There is a co-worker who will almost always make some sort of comment - not rude or anything, usually along the lines of "mmm, that smells good" or guessing that it's Italian or whatever. He's from the Receiving department, he's just trying to make conversation while he's delivering stuff.
I don't know exactly why, but these comments make me uncomfortable. Maybe because I was raised not to eat in front of others without sharing, or because I feel like I'm being watched while I eat (which I am not). I just want to get some other people's opinions on the subject - has this happened to you, how does it make you feel, how do you respond?
12 AnswersEtiquette8 years agoCincinnati natural wonders?
We are planning a trip to Cincinnati in July. Are there any good "natural wonders" within a one hour-ish drive? We were thinking of going to Mammoth caves in KY but that's too far for a day trip. We would prefer something that would provide a full day's entertainment.

I am planning a DC vacation this summer. Is Takoma Park MD a clean, safe place for my family to stay? We would be using the Econolodge on New Hampshire Ave by University. Also, any ratings of the tourist attractions in the Takoma Park area? What's great, what's a waste of time?
2 AnswersWashington, D.C.1 decade agoRate attractions on the D.C. area.?
I asked this question last week, but Yahoo wasn't letting me add details, so the answers were off-base and I didn't want to waste everybody's time.
I am planning a vacation in the D.C. area this summer. I am focusing on zoos, science museums and amusement parks within a two hour drive of D.C.
I have checked AAA, on-line, etc. What I'm looking for here are reviews - which zoos, science museums etc are great, which ones are a waste of time/money, and so on. I have a week, and I like to devote each day to one destination, so I want the seven best things to do! I am also open to recommendations for those little-known but really great attractions that only the locals know about.
P.S. I will be staying north of DC. I am also seeking recommendations on where to stay. What is within reach of the Metro (which I've been told is the easiest way to get in/out of DC)? I would prefer a city with some inexpensive, family-friendly theater, like colleges, community theater, etc. That's a good way to spend an evening. I'd like the tickets to be less than $20 per adult. Again, I'm also looking for little-known, family-friendly ways to spend an evening.
2 AnswersWashington, D.C.1 decade agoI am looking for advice on science museums , amusement parks, and zoo within a two hour drive of Washington DC?
This summer i am planning on staying in the DC area. I am seeking advice on the best nearby (2 hour drive max) science museums, zoos, and amusement parks. Also, are there any relatively close, relatively inexpensive, mostly clean and safe places to stay in a hotel?

Isn't that what every question in this topic is really about? Nobody is going to change their viewpoint, we're just looking for somebody to agree with us.

It's obviously the same person cutting and pasting the same message every time. All these quick-weight-loss scams are garbage. The only way to lose weight, get fit and stay that way is the hard way – healthy diet and regular exercise.

The picture is in rotation. She is wearing a red hat with white stripes and facing a mirror. The picture is her image in the mirror, taken over her shoulder.
1 AnswerMy Yahoo1 decade agoCan anyone recommend a safe email provider for my children that allows me to monitor the activity?
I would prefer a free service, but I understand that I get what I pay for. I want to minimize the cost if possible. Also, I want to use Internet Explorer, not add another browser just for this purpose.
