  • The way I feel heat seems to be out of whack?

I can be sitting in a room that is 79-80° and break out in a sweat. I get hot after taking a shower or bath and am trying to get ready to go somewhere and sweat something awful. I don't even wear make-up anymore because I sweat it off, sometimes before I even leave the house. I'm 58 and have been through menopause, but do take meds for arthritis. When in the house or car with my husband he is cold and I am hot. I should mention that I live in Arizona where it is usually over 100° the whole summer, but even in air conditioning I am sweating. It is very embarrassing when you go out with people and you are the only one wiping their face and fanning themselves. I have even mentioned it to the doctor to no avail. I drink a lot of iced tea during the day and water, too. Any suggestions would be helpful.

  • Does anyone still iron?

My mother instilled nicely pressed clothes and I still iron everything; no-iron shirts, pants, pillow cases and even top sheets. I know it sounds crazy, but I can't seem to stop!

My husband always gets compliments on his nicely pressed clothes, so maybe that is why I continue.

  • Who will win Dancing with the Stars?

Laila, Joey or Apolo ... they are all great dancers. Who do you think has the fan base to win? What do you like/dislike about each one?

  • Does anyone know where you can ballroom dance in Las Vegas on or near the strip?

Some friends of ours are getting married in Las Vegas and want to go ball room dancing after the ceremony. They have taken lessons like Dancing with the Stars. Is there anywhere on the strip or downtown that has this type of dancing?

  • Red Rock Canyon Horseback Riding?

We are going to Las Vegas over Thanksgiving and want to take a horseback riding tour of Red Rock Canyon. Does anyone know which one is the best? We just want to go for 1½ - 2 hours. Don't want to do the Sunset BBQ because I want to get plenty of photos and I understand this ride is partically in the dark.

  • What treatment is there for degenerative disc in dogs?

Our almost 11 year old English Spring Spaniel was diagnosed with degenerative discs in her back. She had been limping and the vet took x-rays to be sure it wasn't her knee. He gave her a cortisone shot on Thurdsay and she was walking better. Then yesterday she chased a squirrel and jumped up and down around the tree and is limping again. The vet said to let her rest a couple days, which is hard to do with the damn squirrels in the yard. Does anyone have any ideas on how to help her? She is our baby and there is no way we want to put her down. She is using both her back legs, so it's not like she is paralized. It just hurts her to use her right hind leg.

  • Lime Pickle Recipe - what do you do with the sock?

My aunt (she passed away about 3 years ago) gave me her lime pickle recipe. It uses cucumbers, vinegar, sugar, etc. But I don't understand this part:

Slice cucumbers and cover with solutions of 2 cups lime, 2 gal water and sock for 24 hours, stirring occasionally.

Any ideas if this is a cotton sock, and what purpose does it have?

    Thanks!
