I just got a new front-load washer and dryer set. I had them stacked and the regular 6-foot power cord for the dryer isn't long enough because my outlet is at the floor. I found a 10-foot power cord online, but it says 250V and my manual says to use 240V. I cannot find any that say 240V and I looked on Best Buy's website at the original cord they were going to put on and it even says 250V.

Is it okay to use the 250V 4-wire, 30A cord or will it damage my dryer? If not, do you know where I can find a 240V cord? Thanks so much.

My Navy husband deployed to Cuba Dec 4th. He is an E3 so we are not allowed to accompany him there at this time. It is almost 4 months later and we still have not started receiving our Family Sep Allowance. He said he has talked to them and they keep saying to see if it's on next months pay. Well our most recent LES just posted and it's still not on there and I am tired of waiting for it. We didn't have this problem when he was deployed to Bahrain. What can I do about it to make sure that we get the money we are entitled to? I feel helpless here, but it is something that we are SUPPOSED to get so it seems like there should be something I could do about it. Anyone gone through this? Any Jag officers out there? What can I do?

I have backed up my computer onto an external hard drive through Norton Anti-virus. My question is, do I always leave my external hard drive connected or only when I want to back up? Also, if I do leave it connected, is it more protected from viruses than the internal hard drive? I kind of wanted to be able to just transfer my pictures and MP3 files completely over so that they are not stored onto my computer in hopes that it would help my computer run faster. Is this possible? Sorry, these my seem like simple answers to most of you, but I'm new at this so please be patient with me and give me some helpful answers. :) Thank you.

What was the machine you had and what went wrong? Also, anything you would recommend? Maybe you replaced a dud with something you love. I'm purchasing my first brand new matching washer and dryer pair and it's hard to make a decision. Thank you for your help.

I have 2 best friends that I've known for 12 years. I cannot for the life of me choose one for MOH. What would you do?

Friend 1: I was just in her wedding and was 4th in line. I think that she would be the more helpful of the two, but not sure. She just had her wedding in May, so she has been through it.

Friend 2: She isn't married, but she has said that she would have me as her MOH. I'm just not sure if she would plan the shower and help me as much as I need.

My fiance is deployed overseas, so I'm planning the wedding myself and really need the help of my MOH. It's not a big deal that I wasn't the MOH for friend 1, but since my other friend is going to make me hers, that makes me lean towards her. Also friend 1 has been someone's MOH already and been in other weddings and friend 2 hasn't and probably won't.

Would it be bad to make friend 2 MOH and still have friend 1 help out?

Sorry, I know there are a lot of questions about bf/gf's living on base, but I am currently pregnant and I didn't know if that would be an exception. If we are engaged and have a child together would they allow me to live with him on base. I just don't want to have to rush and get married to be able to live with him.

i changed my name under my profile, but when ppl receive mail from me it says from my old last name. how can i get it to send under my new name. I keep updating my account, but this doesn't change it when i send mail for some reason.

when i set the violence, nudity, sex, language to zero, i can still view that stuff. then i try to make it so that you can't view unrated sites, but then i have to type the password in for EVERYTHING...even chase.com or verizon. why won't it work. i tried to type in a specific site to block and it does if you enter it into the address bar, but if you go through a search engine it lets you view it. help.

I have Microsoft Outlook and it has the option to synchronize email folders and I already have it with my comcast email, but want it with my yahoo email address also, since I use it more. It asks which server to use and has the options: Microsoft Exchange Server, POP3, IMAP, HTTP, or Additional Server Types. Which one of these do I choose? Where do I go from there? I tried the HTTP server and entered http://www.yahoo.com/ in the URL, but it didn't work, so what should I enter or do I need a different server type? Thank you very much for your help.
