AMD equivalent to i5?
I use my laptop for mainly Word Processing, Netflix and Facebook games (No high graphics stuff like WoW or anything like that). I am not that tech savvy. I had an i3 in my laptop previously and it died after 2 years. I was underwhelmed by its speed. So I'd like to get an i5 but I also see AMD processors... what is the AMD equivalent to the i5? I don't want to spend a lot.
Thoughts on this subject would be appreciated!
(We have a 2TB external hard drive, so massive memory is not a key factor.)

A child I know received a Swiss Army Knife as a gift recently. When he's in my home, he's not allowed to play with knives, even small ones. But I have no control over what happens outside my home. The child is 6 years old. Should I be concerned?
7 AnswersParenting1 decade agoTermination Parental Rights?
Woman: Separated from man during pregnancy, moved to another country with child after divorce. Wants to have the ex-husband's parental rights terminated.
Man: Owes over $30,000 in child support and other payments to child/woman. Refuses/purposefully delays required paperwork. Does not make attempts to contact child. He is verbally abusive and is manipulative but this is hard to document/prove.
He lives in Canada and she and child live in USA. How does she go about terminating his parental rights so that they may live in peace? He clearly uses her need to have him do paperwork for the child as a 'power over' tool, and they need to be free of this, especially since he's a deadbeat dad too.

Friend: Female, married but currently geographically distant from husband so they communicate by phone/messenger. Many hours time difference. Used to talk twice a day, but now just once due to scheduling but may go back to twice a day soon.
Friend's Husband: Recently just got back into Warcraft. And is at a high level (in the 60's, if that means anything to you... I don't know what that is). She'll call. He'll say a few words then will say he's doing a 'group campaign' and therefore is distracted for most of the conversation.
Friend: Has no knowledge of Warcraft and feels she should come before a group campaign. But worries she will alienate him if she complains.
Me: I know nothing about the game but I wonder if she should get support from WoW Widows Group. I don't know if her feelings are justified or if she's over reacting. I just know she does get sad when she gets on the phone with him and he's in the middle of a campaign and won't stop for her. Should she be pertinent and ask him to stop? Or will her silence signify consent and this will just exacerbate the problem later on?

Number of guests under 80,
With/without food,
No lodging required
I've tried the yahoo/google search, but found no suitable locations. Charming inns ok, parks ok, firehalls not ok.

7 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoIs it possible to be pro-your religion without being anti-other religion?
I've read a bunch of comments where the thoughts sounded pretty rational till the end where the person will sum it up by saying bad things about Muhammad or Jesus or Jews etc.
If you make a good argument then say that Jesus was high on drugs or that Muhammad was a thief and scroundrel, you lose credibility.
Why don't people just talk about what they really know?
