  • What kind of title should put on a business card?

I've recently been getting lots of inquiries for cards, and decided to finally print some. I'm just wondering what to put as my title.

I do graphic design, web design, apparel printing (such as t-shirts), and vinyl applications (stickers). People typically want or are interested in all of those so I want it all on one card. Any ideas for my "title"?

or maybe incorporate a listing of those things into the design?

  • Car was totaled and insurance will be paying off the loan. Is it safe to apply for another loan now?

Would still having an active loan ping bad on me if I apply for a new one? I plan on using the same credit union.

My car was totaled on May 10th, and has been declared a total loss. Insurance and I have agreed on a payoff amount and I've mailed out the paperwork today.

Problem is, that my rental car time will run out next Friday and I will be left without transportation. Ideally, I'd wait for that check to come in to have something for a bit of a down payment, but I may not have time for that.

  • can I negotiate my totalled car's payout?

A couple weeks ago I was rear ended in a car accident and the car has been declared a total loss. It's a 2009 scion tc with about 78k miles on it.

Insurance offered about 8,099 and I owed about 7,600 on it. Can this be negotiated for a bit more? I'd like at least 1,000 for a down payment on a new car. I'm in houston TX.

  • Was in a car wreck. Already made statements, but starting to feel some back pain. What should I do?

on Saturday night May 10th, I was in a car accident and got rear ended pretty badly by someone who failed to brake. My car is most likely totaled. I've felt completely fine since the accident until very recently.

My back is starting to feel sore. Its not sharp at all or caused by any specific movements, just a constant bit of soreness in the back muscles. Its not even affecting any of my activity. I already made statements to the insurance companies. Should I call up my adjuster first or what? Just afraid that it could grow into more pain.

  • Good EDM acts with vocalists?

I like EDM, but I can only really get into it if I'm in the confines of a club or show... Casually listening... It gets old fast even if switching between genres. My favorite songs are typically ones with nice vocals. And not just a single sentence getting repeated over and over. But then I'm disappointed that the vocalist was just a one-shot usually.

I've taken quite a shine to Krewella and Killbot lately. They have their own vocals rather than having someone featured in a single song and those vocalists will be there for future songs most likely. Can you guys recommend any similar acts who have their own vocalist? I'm not a genre nazi so any EDM sub genre will do :)

  • Buying a new washing machine. Home depot & Best Buy have it for the same price. Who would offer better service?

As stated above, I've done my shopping for a washer. And both stores carry it. I was wondering who would offer better service if something were to happen to it? We have a stove from best buy and had good experience with that but that was years ago. And I often hear bad things about the contractors Home Depot hires. Any help please?

  • Notches on the timer of a GE washing machine are worn and don't fit the knob?

I have a GE washer model wjrr4170gww and the knob stopped working one day. I bought a replacement knob because the knob was broken. I finally got a new knob but it appears that the notches/teeth where it attaches to the timer are worn away and even with a new knob it won't turn.

Is there a part I can get to replace just that plastic part? The timer works just fine using a pair of pliers, but the teeth are worn away. A new timer assembly is about 100 dollars which is just ridiculous. Any help please?

  • How can I find out which education credits I claimed in past tax returns?

Due to certain circumstances I've lost my copies of my tax returns for the past few years, and want to file now but I need to know which education tax credits I've taken already. Is requesting old copies the only way to do this or is there another way? someone told me to call the IRS but I don't know if that would accomplish anything.

  • Any styling products to relax curly hair a bit?

I have pretty curly hair, and I've learned to live with it, but every now and then it would be nice to have hair that's a bit more relaxed... without having to blow-dry/flat iron it. My hair stylist has used some product.... It was like keratin something (it was a styling cream, not the treatment!). I have to ask her again, but it was about $40.00 for a bottle O.O And it didn't look like it held much

Any other products out there that you can apply for a slight relaxation of the hair? I've seen a straightening pomade made by a company called Joe grooming for 15 bucks, but don't know if it's any good. Any suggestions?

  • In TEXAS, if I'm on unemployment, can I turn down a low paying job?

I haven't received any unemployment yet since I became jobless not too long ago. I'm applying for jobs, but if a job turns out to be part time and It makes LESS than what my benefits would be, is it ok to turn down the job? Because I'll hardly be able to survive on my benefits

This hasn't happened to me, but I want to be sure just in case. Is it only jobs that are similar to your previous job and pay that you can't turn down or all of them?

  • Get out of coverall cleaning franchise and go independent?

Many years ago my grandma got a coverall cleaning franchise. It isn't very profitable at all.

I was wondering if you could get out of this, because I was thinking of starting my own cleaning business and take the current franchise employees which is just my grandma and uncle. my grandma doesnt know anything about the franchise and my uncle just works. We already have the equipment and 3 people with years of experience. I would take over the admin, marketing and such, as well as clean

can getting out of the franchise be possible?

  • Grandparents are in lots of debt and don't care about credit score. What can be done?

My grandmother and grandfather have accumulated lots of credit card debt mostly because of my mother (she stole their credit cards in the past and ran em up). I believe the debt is over $10,000

Grandpas retired. Grandma still works but will be retiring soon. My mom can't pay their debt all the people in my family work low wage jobs. They simply don't care about credit anymore. They pretty much don't need it. They have a place in their home country that they want to retire to.

I guess I'm the problem. The house, they want to leave to me. They almost did the reverse mortgage thing but realized that as soon as they leave it gets taken away. They also are uninterested in bankruptcy since it costs money. Theyve stopped paying a lot of the cards because they just can't afford it. What should be done?

  • Can this be done? connect DVD to old TV(no av inputs) through satellite receiver?

I have a Panasonic S27 dvd player that is usually connected to another tv, but I'd like to try getting it to work on an older TV. a RCA XL100. The TV has no AV (red yellow white) inputs, but its connected to a sattelite reciever that is. It also has no A/V channel.. just run sat thru channel 3. The reciever has AV inputs, so I was wondering if this could be done without any extra modulators or whatnot.

I've connected a PS2 to it through an old vcr (which we dont have anymore) so I was wondering if this could work. Thanks.

  • Home Depot or Independent Contractor for new AC + install?

Hi, for the past 3 or 4 years, the AC in my house has fizzled out when its needed. I live in Houston where its hot and humid and I am currently dying in here even though outside its relatively nice. Our compressor has served us well for many years but its gotten old and in the recent years has broken every time it gets hot. especially after hurricane Ike.

Its old and has been repaired too many times. Time for a new one. Im just having a hard time choosing someone to et my AC from and get it installed. I noticed that home depot offers AC service and was wondering if they were any good. Or if you know a good contractor in houston (I'm in the nw crossing area) please do tell!

PS: financing option is a must.

  • How do you backup files from a macbook with no display?

Turns out that my macbook pro (17 inch) of a couple years has a faulty video card. Apple will fix it at no charge because of the defect, but id really like to backup my files and wipe my hard drive.

How would I go about transferring files from the macbook to another computer (preferably pc, but another mac is doable)

Remember I have no visuals. The computer works just fine. And connecting an external monitor won't work. Its a video card problem not a screen problem. Thank you.

  • Need a good Spanish speaking bankruptcy lawyer in Houston?

My grandmother does not speak English at all, and has gotten herself into massive debt. She has tried credit consolidation, but it wasn't enough. She wants to file for chapter 7 bankruptcy

I'm also looking for credit counseling or her since that's needed for ch 7.

I'm not asking you to do a google search for a spanish speaking attorney. I'm not an idiot. I can do that myself without asking something here. I've searched but I either find bad rated Spanish speaking lawyers or Spanish speaking lawyers with no ratings at all! I'm looking for honest recommendations. maybe someone you know or you in the past...whatever!

    Thank you.

  • Classes to take for a better JOB? (not career)?

I've been working a dead end general labor job at a warehouse for 3 years. Not much hope for moving up.

I'm also a student in college, working towards achieving a career, but that's going to take a few years. I've seen some places that offer training for education in getting a better job (or career). I'm not talking about devry or whatever. I have a friend who took courses to become a medical assistant and shes gotten a job in that recently. (MA is not a good choice for me)

I was wondering if anyone knew a good type of course to take that doesn't take too long, that might give me knowledge to find a better paying job (more than 10 an hr in TX) I know its not a guaranteed job, but its better than a know nothing job like fast food or general labor. Thank you.
