  • Recipie for Columbian spicy green Tomatio sauce.?

The one I am looking for produces a very creamy smooth textured spicy green sauce. I believe it is mixed with avocado later, after the cooking and the tomatios and jalapenos.

I am looking for one that is spicy and has thick dark brown gravy that can be served on the side with rice, not the tomatoey watery type that is served as soup with rice in it.

  • Why are people prejudiced against southern Americans?

It seems that the same American people that are so anti-racist and politically correct feel that it is quite ok to be bigoted and use stereotypes toward white southern Americans while they would never dream of thinking it was OK to behave this way toward anyone else.

I realize that there are so many stereotypes associated with southerners but does that make it true and ok? Aren't non-southen Americans smart enough to look beyond the television influence. I have traveled a lot and in all actuality, I have seen just as many rural, poor, uneducated, racist, and ugly people in small town America all over the country as I have in the south. There is just as many isolated rural small towns and farm lands in states like Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Idaho, New York (and many other states), as there is in the south. The people there seem just as rednecky, hillbilly, toothless, uneducated, unrefined, and less worldly as they do in any remote area of the south. So what's the difference?

  • Q #3 Reincarnation, If it is not true what does the Bible mean by these verses?

"Generations come and generations go, but the earth remains forever. The sun rises and the sun sets, and hurries back to where it rises. The wind blows to the south and turns to the north; round and round it goes, ever returning on its course. All streams flow into the sea, yet the sea is never full. To the place the streams come from, there they return again ... What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun." (Eccl. 1:4-9)

And as he was passing by, he saw a man blind from birth. And his disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who has sinned, this man or his parents, that he should be born blind?" Jesus answered, "Neither has this man sinned, nor his parents, but the works of God were to be made manifest in him.'" (John 9:1-3)

Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me. (Psalm 51:5)

  • Q #2 Reincarnation, If it is not true what does the Bible mean by these verses?

When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?" They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets." (Matt. 16:13-14)

He who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will he leave it." (Rev. 3:12)

Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you. For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did."" (Matt. 21:32)

We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death.” (1 John 3:14

IWomen received back their dead, raised to life again. Others were tortured and refused to be released, so that they might gain a better resurrection." (Heb. 11:32-35)

  • Q #1 Reincarnation, If it is not true what does the Bible mean by these verses?

This is verse #1 of part 1 of Question.

Please answer intelligently and don't respond with this verse from the bible Hebrews 9:27 says: "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: "Because I have more than one verse that I am questioning that seems to reflect the opposite view.

And the disciples asked him, saying, "Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?" But he answered them and said, "Elijah indeed is to come and will restore all things. But I say to you that Elijah has come already, and they did not know him, but did to him whatever they wished. So also shall the Son of Man suffer at their hand." Then the disciples understood that he had spoken of John the Baptist." (Matt. 17:10-13) This is the one ... there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist ... And if you are willing to accept it, he is the Elijah who was to come. He who has ears, let him hear. (Matt. 11:11-15)

  • Dead Sea Scrolls/Nag Hammadi scrolls info for stillbrooke?

stillbrooke, in regards to the question you answered about the dead sea scrolls I would like to say please forgive me for getting confused. You are absolutley correct the Dead Sea scrolls are all OT. However there was another find in the caves of Egypt in 1945 called the Nag Hammadi scrolls. Which would be classified as New Testament if they were in the Bible. They are viewed as largley Gnostic gospels which is an early sect of Christians.

  • Gnostic question about Genesis. See Details God, Lord god?

In Genesis when god is creating the universe the scripture continually refers to him as God. But when he is creating man or talking to Adam, the scripture changes and always refers to him as Lord God. I understand the entire book was written by the same author. Does this reference have anything to do with why the Gnostic faith beleives that man was created by a demigod and not the true god?

According to the bible Genesis Chapter 4 verse 25, man didn't start worshiping god until Enosh was born. Did you know that Enosh is Hebrew for Humanity? So was Enosh the first Cro-Magnon man and Adam the first Neanderthal man? What do you think it means?

Also, what happened to Abel when he died?

Adam lay with his wife again, and she gave birth to a son and named him Seth, [i] saying, "God has granted me another child in place of Abel, since Cain killed him." 26 Seth also had a son, and he named him Enosh.

At that time men began to call on [j] the name of the LORD.

Former Canadian Minister Of Defence Asks Canadian Parliament To Hold Hearings On Relations With Alien "Et" Civilizations

Download this press release as an Adobe PDF document.

A former Canadian Minister of Defence has joined forces with three Non-governmental organizations to ask the Parliament of Canada to hold public hearings on with Alien “ET” Civilizations. Paul Hellyer, Canada’s Defence Minister from 1963-67 under Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Prime Minister Lester Pearson, publicly stated: "UFOs, are as real as the airplanes that fly over your head." Hellyer warned, "The United States military are preparing weapons which could be used against the aliens, and they could get us into an intergalactic war without us ever having any warning. Mr. Hellyer went on to say, "I'm so concerned about what the consequences might be of starting an intergalactic war, that I just think I had to say something." “Now is the time for open disclosure that there are ethical Extraterrestrial civilizations visiting Earth,” a spokesperson for the Non-Governmental Organizations stated. “Our Canadian government needs to openly address these important issues of the possible deployment of weapons in outer space and war plans against ethical Extraterrestrial societies.”

OTTAWA, CANADA (PRWEB) November 24, 2005 -- A former Canadian Minister of Defence and Deputy Prime Minister under Pierre Trudeau has joined forces with three Non-governmental organizations to ask the Parliament of Canada to hold public hearings on Exopolitics -- relations with “ETs.”

By “ETs,” Mr. Hellyer and these organizations mean ethical, advanced extraterrestrial civilizations that may now be visiting Earth.

On September 25, 2005, in a startling speech at the University of Toronto that caught the attention of mainstream newspapers and magazines, Paul Hellyer, Canada’s Defence Minister from 1963-67 under Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Prime Minister Lester Pearson, publicly stated: "UFOs, are as real as the airplanes that fly over your head."

Mr. Hellyer went on to say, "I'm so concerned about what the consequences might be of starting an intergalactic war, that I just think I had to say something."

Hellyer revealed, "The secrecy involved in all matters pertaining to the Roswell incident was unparalled. The classification was, from the outset, above top secret, so the vast majority of U.S. officials and politicians, let alone a mere allied minister of defence, were never in-the-loop."

Hellyer warned, "The United States military are preparing weapons which could be used against the aliens, and they could get us into an intergalactic war without us ever having any warning. He stated, "The Bush administration has finally agreed to let the military build a forward base on the moon, which will put them in a better position to keep track of the goings and comings of the visitors from space, and to shoot at them, if they so decide."

Hellyer’s speech ended with a standing ovation. He said, "The time has come to lift the veil of secrecy, and let the truth emerge, so there can be a real and informed debate, about one of the most important problems facing our planet today."

Three Non-governmental organizations took Hellyer’s words to heart, and approached Canada’s Parliament in Ottawa, Canada’s capital, to hold public hearings on a possible ET presence, and what Canada should do. The Canadian Senate, which is an appointed body, has held objective, well-regarded hearings and issued reports on controversial issues such as same-sex marriage and medical marijuana,

On October 20, 2005, the Institute for Cooperation in Space requested Canadian Senator Colin Kenny, Senator, Chair of The Senate Standing Senate Committee on National Security and Defence, “schedule public hearings on the Canadian Exopolitics Initiative, so that witnesses such as the Hon. Paul Hellyer, and Canadian-connected high level military-intelligence, NORAD-connected, scientific, and governmental witnesses facilitated by the Disclosure Project and by the Toronto Exopolitics Symposium can present compelling evidence, testimony, and Public Policy recommendations.”

The Non-governmental organizations seeking Parliament hearings include Canada-based Toronto Exopolitics Symposium, which organized the University of Toronto Symposium at which Mr. Hellyer spoke.

The Disclosure Project, a U.S.– based organization that has assembled high level military-intelligence witnesses of a possible ET presence, is also one of the organizations seeking Canadian Parliament hearings.

Vancouver-based Institute for Cooperation in Space (ICIS), whose International Director headed a proposed 1977 Extraterrestrial Communication Study for the White House of former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, who himself has publicly reported a 1969 Close Encounter of the First Kind with a UFO, filed the original request for Canadian Parliament hearings.

The Canadian Exopolitics Initiative, presented by the organizations to a Senate Committee panel hearing in Winnipeg, Canada, on March 10, 2005, proposes that the Government of Canada undertake a Decade of Contact.

The proposed Decade of Contact is “a 10-year process of formal, funded public education, scientific research, educational curricula development and implementation, strategic planning, community activity, and public outreach concerning our terrestrial society’s full cultural, political, social, legal, and governmental communication and public interest diplomacy with advanced, ethical Off-Planet cultures now visiting Earth.”

Canada has a long history of opposing the basing of weapons in Outer Space. On September 22, 2004 Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin declared to the U.N. General Assembly,” "Space is our final frontier. It has always captured our imagination. What a tragedy it would be if space became one big weapons arsenal and the scene of a new arms race.

Martin stated, "In 1967, the United Nations agreed that weapons of mass

destruction must not be based in space. The time has come to extend this ban to all weapons..."

In May, 2003, speaking before the Canadian House of Commons Standing Committee on National Defence and Veterans Affairs, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada Lloyd Axworthy, stated “Washington's offer to Canada is not an invitation to join America under a protective shield, but it presents a global security doctrine that violates Canadian values on many levels."

Axworthy concluded, “There should be an uncompromising commitment to preventing the placement of weapons in space.”

On February 24, 2005, Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin made official Canada's decision not to take part in the U.S government’s Ballistic Missile Defence program.

Paul Hellyer, who now seeks Canadian Parliament hearings on relations with ETs, on May 15, 2003, stated in Toronto’s Globe & Mail newspaper, “Canada should accept the long-standing invitation of U.S. Congressman Dennis Kucinich of Ohio to launch a conference to seek approval of an international treaty to ban weapons in space. That would be a positive Canadian contribution toward a more peaceful world.”

In early November 2005, the Canadian Senate wrote ICIS, indicating the Senate Committee could not hold hearings on ETs in 2005, because of their already crowded schedule.

“That does not deter us,” one spokesperson for the Non-governmental organizations said, “We are going ahead with our request to Prime Minister Paul Martin and the official opposition leaders in the House of Commons now, and we will re-apply with the Senate of Canada in early 2006.

“Now is the time for open disclosure that there are ethical Extraterrestrial civilizations visiting Earth,” a spokesperson for the Non-Governmental Organizations stated. “Our Canadian government needs to openly address these important issues of the possible deployment of weapons in outer space and war plans against ethical Extraterrestrial societies.”

We are always taught that we should be god fearing and this is what the bible says but shouldn't we worship God because we love him instead of because we fear him. Did Jesus say that we should fear God? If yes please give chapter and verse from the bible.

  • Why do people claim the bible is older than it is?

Anyone can look it up on the internet and the general consensus among science is that that oldest scripture from the Old Testament was written down around 980 BC. I realize that it tells of stories that happened earlier than then. But this is the oldest documented version we have. There are plenty of other ancient writings that are older than that and tell of some of the same stories and creation.

The Exodus supposedly happened around 1300 BC so how could it have been written by Moses when it even tells of his death.

Before you start telling that I am wrong or quoting bible verses, back it up with the name of an Anthropologist, the date he claims and website.

  • Please read this and give your opinion....?

Most scholars agree that most religions including Christianity, Judaism, and Islam were based on the ancient Sumerian and Babylonian Texts. If you read the Egyptian book of the dead (which was also based on these texts) you will find a lot of their ideas transformed into the bible. They believed that when you die your soul goes to the underworld and passes through the lakes of fire that is called the DWAT. The righteous souls will be allowed to pass through that which is called the Valley of the Shadow until they reach Heaven which is in the sky. The journey goes down and then up in the shape of a letter J.

The sinners will not be able to pass through the lakes of fire and they will die a second death and be buried in the Valley of the Shadow. In one of their prayers it says "As I walk through the Valley of the Shadow", does this sound familiar? It is a lot older than the bible.

  • If Jesus was the same God or son of the God of the old testament? Part 2?

Since the teachings in the OT as opposed to the NT are so different is he saying that before he was wrong in giving the old laws or that he has now changed his mind on how sins would be punished? I mean God can do anything he doesn't have to make you kill a goat for forgiveness.

Really, can someone actually answer this question with a real answer.

I don't need an expalnation of the difference between the old and new testament.

I want to know if he has changed his mind or thought the old way of stoning someone if they committed adultry along with all of the other laws and orders to kill whole nations was wrong.

Or if you think the God referred to in the old testament was not really the true God that Jesus spoke of?

  • If Jesus is really the God or the son of God in the OT........?

when he says to go by the new testament now, is he saying that he or God was wrong before and now they have changed their mind? Or do you think that maybe the God of the OT was not the true God that Jesus is referring to?

  • Why did Jesus have his disciples go and find a donkey for him to ride into Jerusalem on?

No disrespect intended but since it was prophesied that the Messiah was to ride in on a donkey, wouldn't he just have happened to be on one already? It kind of sounds like he intentionaly asked for the donkey in order to fullfil the prophecy.

  • Was God on earth in the physical form during the time of Abraham?

This continues to puzzle me, I can't quote the exact book and chapter but it states in the bible that Abraham saw 3 men and recognized them as God and 2 of his angles on their way to Sodom and that he called to God and told him to please not pass the house of his servant without stopping to wash his feet and have a meal. Then he ordered that a animal (lamb, goat) to be killed and fresh milk and bread to be brought for their meal. God stopped and ate with Abraham and this is when they had their famous discussion regarding God destroying Sodom and Gomorrah and if any righteous men could be found there would God spare the city.
