So I haven't taken a math class for 10 years and I wasn't great at math then. I completed 2/3 of high school algebra and remedial geometry and some other remedial math classes in high school. I passed the general education math that my college had everyone take 10 years ago. It has become clear that my liberal arts degree is worthless and that I need something else. I am interested in the human relations/management field and those degrees require extensive math and the classes are far beyond my math skills at the moment. Any ideas where I should start? I almost think I should start at the beginning as there was giant holes in my math skills starting back in elementary school.

I need to take a short vacation to regroup. I also need to get away from the cold weather that will likely still be lingering in the upper midwest. I don't want to spend a lot of money. I will likely be going alone. I don't want to have to rent a car.

He treated me like I didn't matter for the two years we were together while he talked about our future. Although he denied it he cheated regularly. When I would attempt breaking up with him he would freak out. He was emotionally abusive. He started full blown dating someone for like 2 months before we even broke up and they were engaged within 6 months. I was a wreck like 6 months into our relationship and for sometime after it was over. I'm generally a strong person I left my home when I was 16 because I was done with the emotional abuse which was turning physical when I left. There has been other guys since but I've always stopped everything from getting to serious. Granted my other relationships before him were a bit messy too but I wasn't as detached from myself. I lost joy and trust in my judgement and I never want to feel like that again. I'm over him and I think I was over him somewhere in the middle of the train wreck that was our relationship. I'm just afraid I'll allow myself to get into a relationship that makes me feel sad and worthless again which I am not and I don't know what to do about it. If you lose the ability to trust yourself can you ever recover that?

My bed didn't have sheets on it just the cover to prevent bed bugs and stains and smells which had something to do with its now expired warranty. I waited a bit got the lamp and most of the bulb which was mostly intact out of the house. Then I worked on getting the glass and stuff off my bed and then out from under my bed and the shelf behind it and proceed with life as usual and things were fine for a few days but apparently some of the glass has lingered as i keep waking up with little pieces of glass on me or something of that sort. I really can't afford to replace my bed at this point as much as I would like to its not that comfortable as it has a bit of a dip in it from where I've been sleeping and since its been just me since its purchase its almost like a hole in the middle. Not really crazy about the glass and not crazy about the fact that there's likely still trace amounts of mercury hanging out in/on my bed. Any ideas ?????? would removing the cover and then cleaning my bed help along with a new cover and maybe a mattress pad. These stupid light bulbs are really not worth it when they break since mercury is pretty toxic.

It's the door in and out of my apartment and its in my living room. Living in the upper midwest is cold in the winter. If it was just a patio door I would seal it in plastic just like a window and nail a blanket around it. Since it is the door that I use to come and go from my apartment I cannot seal it but I need to figure out how to do something with it to not lose heat and not let the winds in as much. Any ideas/tips would be appreciated.

I live alone and I've been wasting a ton of money on food I throw out and at the drive in. I want to save some money and stop wasting so much food. Any ideas on foods that will create meals for $20 or less a week? I was thinking chili's and other stews for dinner (frozen veggies are super cheap) and maybe salads for lunch (bagged salads are always on sale here) but I am thinking these ideas could get old and boring pretty quick. I'm allergic to bananas, most melons and fish & peanuts. Not a big egg or refine bean fan.

How much do I need to put towards this loan a month to have it paid off in 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 years? Currently I am making about $24,000 pretax and insurance. I am getting ready to take on some additional work that should bring that up to about $26,00 and will be taking on a second job that should be about $5000 a year pretax. My other expenses are about $1,000 a month. This is a private student loan, which was the worst idea ever and I would like to get rid of it as fast as possible so I do not have this weight on me and can concentrate on my Federal Student Loans that have much better repayment terms. The monthly payment on this private student loan is $275.00. I have no credit card debt and no car payment.

I'm looking at getting a new laptop with about a 15 inch screen I think. I don't do much downloading just the occasional iTunes song or overdrive book and occasionally will watch a missed CBS show. As for websites I frequent Facebook, Wikipedia and Pinterest. I would just like to be able to sometimes play my Sims 2 and Sims 3 games. I just need help in determining the specs I need. I have an external DVD drive because I also have a net-bookk so an internal one isn't required. I prefer HP and Toshiba over Dell but I'd go for the right Dell. I will likely go to Wal-mart or Best Buy to purchase unless I can find free shipping. Most important here is what should I determine be my minimum specs to look at. The net-book works and is alright for the internet but isn't great for games and Pinterest.

I don't want an Apple as they won't work with my palm phone.

I would prefer something with an optical drive.

It would mostly be used for writing papers for my college courses and the internet.

I'd like something smaller but not too small but lighter weight will be better as I'll be lugging it around campus and even around town.

I use to have a Toshiba Satellite that I liked and I've had a Dell Inspiron for a few years now that I've never really liked and that it's time to replace. I also have a desktop that sits on my desk but with plenty of time between classes and not at home its nice to be able to do some work here and there on school stuff.

This is the third time i have worked at the place I am working and this time its been for about a year and a half the other two times total 4/5 months altogether but both of those times it was understood by all parties to be a temporary arrangement. I have NEVER been written up, I score extremely well on secret shopping and satisfaction surveys, my register is generally perfect and I have only called in twice and in both of those instances I found people to cover me not leaving it to management. So why may I be fired? It's because one of my family members is a member of management which is against company policy. I know the first time the manager got it approved by someone higher up than themselves and it was to be that I wasn't to be scheduled the day the family member in question was scheduled and that I was to refer to the other members of management. I'm not sure if it was approved the second time or this time but in both cases I was hired as a rehire not a new higher so would that initial approval carry over and if they do terminate me is there anything I can do other than file for unemployment? I am more than qualified to work in this field besides the time I have worked at this place I have more than another year in the field along with a higher level of education than many of the employees.

I drove out to the Grand Canyon in AZ and Las Vegas NV last year and two years before that I drove up to Minneapolis and did the Mall of America and saw a play at the Guthrie and the year before that I drove down to some tiny town on the ocean in Florida and went to the beach and this light house and some cool historic park thing and a bunch of coastal driving and stopped in Atlanta for a day or two and did some of the things there like the Zoo and CNN center and Olympic Park and the year before that I went down to Ft. Lauderdale and spent the week at the beach. I went to Washington D.C about 10 years ago and hit most of the sights there and loved it although it was a nonstop week as it was a planned out with a daily itinerary from 6am-11pm. The person I will be traveling with was on all of these but the Ft. Lauderdale and Washington D.C. trips but she's also been to NY where she stayed in a hostel and drove out to California and stayed in her car and camped along the way with 3 friends eating PB&J just because they could along with other random strictly driving jaunts to Kentucky and Indiana and a few trips out to D.C where she didn't see the sights but attended two protests and the inauguration of Obama.

We live in the Midwest about 4/6 hours from every major city in the region and prefer driving over flying as you can stop and see more things but are deffinately willing to get out of the region and would prefer to not go north.

Last year I was watching Oprah and she featured a Youtube video that made me cry.

This baby was born ill and didn't have long to live so his parents videotaped and had birthdays for him everyday.

last period was March 19th and was a week late and I haven't been having sex.

I have had a bad headache for over a day now

it is an emachine, i do not hear the cooling fan, i bought it in 2007 but never used it much and its been broken i guess since like july but i just now feel like doing something about it cause i am sick of my OLD laptop. Is it worth getting it looked at by someone?
