  • What are the CONS of Enfamil GentleEase?

I know this may sound silly. Our pediatrician recomended GentleEase because he is fussy.

I understand it is supposed to help, but why is regular enfamil not gentle if they are both just as healthy?

  • What things to research for new baby?

    Hello everybody.

My wife and I are expecting our first child in 20 weeks (we reached the half way point!). We will be learning if our baby will be a boy or girl on Tuesday and after that we want to focus on our registry.

So far, my MIL purchased the stroller we wanted (Britax) and car seat. We know what crib we want, but are looking for a list of all the things we should register for - especially the stuff I would want to read reviews on before buying (for safety, quality reasons).

If you have time and want to help us compile a list of everything, that would be great and extremely helpful. If you have a link that would be great too. Also, any help for helpful sites to research with would be cool!

    Thanks!

  • Delete Yahoo Mail account only...?

My Yahoo mail account is littered with SPAM and I believe it was hacked into recently and email were sent to my entire address book. I do not use the email since it get SO much SPAM that I often delete good messages or find them with Junk Mail.

The mail is simply inferior to others and unneeded anymore.

However, I use Yahoo Sports, Yahoo Answers (etc) with this account. Is there anyway to delete JUST the mail? I am more concerned with the mail be sent to my address book part (hacked) then anything else.

  • How / Where Refi Student Loans?

I have my student Loans currently with Direct Loans. My interest rate is 4.65%. This weekend, I found out that my cousin is paying under 3% (I believe 2.85%). I only have the 1 loan (Group A and a Group B - but I am not sure what that means, I make 1 payment a month) - totaling $54,000

Well, I would like to lower my interest and if that means consolidating, that would be great. If I can lower my rate while keeping my payment the same, I can pay it off faster and pay a lot less interest in the long run.

    Any help will be appreciated.

  • LG Blu Ray will having issues with voices...?

My LG will BR will play a burned DVD. The background will play just fine. The opening (for example the 20th century fox) will play fine. No main voices though. The movie took place in a coffee shop. The background was the fussing of people and dishes, all can be heard. However the main characters could not be heard.

    Regular DVDs just fine.

Tried burned DVD on another player and it works fine.

  • Wide Angle Lens Converter for Nikon D5000?

Anybody know of a good (but not bank breaking ) Wide Angle Lens converter? I am new to photography and caught the bug. I noticed on my last photo session (NYC) that I just could not get all I wanted and feel I was lacking. A new lens is not in the budget.

I seen converters that screw on but not sure which. I have a Nikon D5000 with a external flash, a 70-300 and a standard 35mm lens.

    any assistance would be appreciated

  • Refinancing Home Rates...?

I took an out an FHA Loan about 3 years ago. My current rate is 5.5%. Currently I owe $250,000 with taxes of *about $3,700. We are not planning on selling until for a few years (3 or so) in hopes of appreciation or at least have enough paid off versus worth so we can put a major down payment on our next home. My wife and I have a credit score of near 800.

    Questions:

-How much should I expect to pay in refinancing costs?

-What current rate should I expect to get?

My thinking, if I can drop the rate, but continue to pay what I am paying now, I can pay down my loan faster.

My current payment (excluding taxes) is a touch under $1,400

if you are in the know, please provide advice.

  • MayTag washer "knocking" in spin cycle?

My Maytag washer (older, stackable model) is knocking in spin cycle. It sounds as if something is hitting and it can only be heard as the spin cycle reaches top speed. Its fast and its loud. When I open the door, it slows down and the knocking goes away.

  • Relaxing Day trips...?

I live on Long Island. I am looking for a relaxing day trip / overnight'r within 4 hours of the city. I was thinking possibly Lake George - but don't want something so touristy.

It doesn't have to be in NY (PA would work, MA, Ct...). It will be for my wife and I. We're looking to kick back, relax and just get off the Island for a bit. A nice (easy) nature hike would be cool or just things to see. Not looking to break the bank. The main goal, is to relax and get away from the hustle of life.

  • Pergo Flooring Issue (lifting).?

We put down a Pergo floor in our livingroom January (cold, New York climate). We waited 3 or 4 days, allowing the floor to acclimate to the room. The moisture barrier was added to the floor. We used a contractor to do the work - along with a tile floor in the kitchen and foyer.

The floor, in its smallest area (just over 3'X3') began lifting first. This is also the area that comes into contact with the ceramic tiling in the Foyer. About 4 lines have raised up (maybe 2 planks per line).

The other area is about 3' from the stairs in line with the other planks. They have lifted up too.

    What could be the cause?

I kept and extra case of flooring "just in case" I needed it down the road. Should I bring it down and let it acclimate? Can I fix the flooring already on the floor? What steps should I take?

  • Folding Bike brands - ideas?

I am in the market for a folding bike. It will be basically used as a commuter bike. 1 mile from the train to work, 3-4 miles to the train from home.

Dahon seems to be the "choice" bike, but at $350+ for their low price model, I cannot justify it. The idea is to save money by taking the train to work and with a bike at this price, it will take a while to long to have realized savings.

Can anybody recommend decent quality folding bikes (with link). I seen a bunch on Amazon, but they are cheapies. I don't mind putting them together and can do it well, but cheapies are cheap for a reason and I do not need to taco a wheel or have the quick release fail.

    Can ya help?

  • Life Insurance - Term? Whole Life?

I have a $50,000.00 policy through my job, but the truth of the matter is that will be very little if anything happens to me. I was looking at additional policies but not sure what is what. I seem commercials that say "$30.00 dollars a month," but when I contacted my broker, he was tossing out some numbers in the hundreds.

I am currently 34 y-o. My wife and I own a home with $250,000 left on our mortgage. We both have 401Ks, money in brokerage and money market savings accounts.

    About me:

I am overweight. Working on it, but I will NEVER match the chart weight.

    Non-smoker (I quit over 4 years ago)

Recent cholesterol was high, but getting a real test done soon.

Can somebody try to explain life insurance to me? What should I expect? What do I need? What should I expect to pay?

  • Free Garmin Street Maps?

I have a Garmin Edge 705. To buy the North American navigation, it will cost $80.00 from Garmin - and it just so happens, they don't have "just" the US - like the do with Canada. I thought, I could get the NYC metro - but its not available for my unit (shocker! Especially being that its for a bike and all most cyclists need would be a regional map). I downloaded the NY Topo Map, but its too busy.

Are they any sites that carry Street Maps for free that can be uploaded in my Edge 705?
