  • What are these, bug eggs?

The other day I set a plate I had eaten off of on the counter near the sink... There were no other dirty dishes. A day passes and as I started to wash the plate I noticed small black/brown dot (too small to identify with the naked eye) . I washed the plate, dried it and put i away. Next morning I noticed an area of the sink where the plate had set was covered in these tiny dots (kinda looks like pepper...but this was in the shape of the plate where it had set. I washed this away with a soapy sponge and washed them down the drain. Retuning to look a few hours later and it appears to be reforming again. I am creeped out not knowing if it is bug eggs, something falling form the ceiling, mold or bacteria...I am stumped ! Too small to see what 1 dot really looks like (a pod or actual bug or what it is) ANY IDEAS.?

  • Will the real original please stand up?

I saw a mouth watering commercial for hot wings and being a amateur chef, I decided to make some today, so I went searching for the original recipe. I have been making my hot wings for years and they are great. But this time I wanted to make the true original from the Anchor Bar in NY. To my dismay every top cooking website (cooks.com, allrecipe.com, food network, etc. all had a slightly different recipe. Some were close to each other and some were WAY out there alone in terms of ingredients. Does anyone know the true, real, original recipe.?

  • Timothy Bradley will win over Manny "PED" ?

As an American living in the Philippines for the pat 8 years I can testify that the locals are CRAZY, CRAZY fans of the "Pacman"...the trouble for me is I have watched him fight over and over, with skepticism ......take Oscar De La Hoya (who was starting a boxing promo company and needed cash) so BOB Arim let him in the ring for a paycheck, I saw Pack man INSANELY BULK UP, jump weight classes in no time, fight a sting of Mexican grandfathers, avoid Mayweather time and time again.... become a Philippine senator, cheat on his taxes, have an affair with a local hottie, and entertain & cut singing albums here...the truth for me is that he is a product of the PROMOTERS bank book and (while good) not as hot as his record would indicate. (Sorry Barkadas...) I am willing to bet anyone, that Timothy Bradley kicks his P.E.D. riddled butt. What do you think?

  • Are you Sick of Facebook?

OK...I just have to say it... I TOLD YOU SO...

IN the news for the last few weeks have been story after story about the woes at facebook... or I do not mean the coportation, they are making money faster than Google, what I mean are the woes of the members..... Finding out then tell a wife her husban is cheating, sucuide live from Tiawan, graduation form a private school blocked due to risky student photos, Employeers demanding facebook passwords or firing the employee, Law suits over slander and copyrights infringments, leaked test answers..... it goes on and on.......

From the start I have said how I think Face book is nonsense and it will lead to trouble...I never had an account.... Will you delete yours?

    1. Sharing your personal life with strangers can lead to nothing but critisism and trouble.

    2. Personal information is easy to steal, why hand it to them on a silver platter?

    3. Do you really care that SIlly Sally wore a pink dress today?

  • OSA and Angina - Will CPAP help?

I have OSA and have not been wearing my CPAP for 5 years because I moved out of the USA and one day it broke with a common power surge....no one here could fix it or replace it here in the Philippines... BUT NOW, I have been diagnosed with unstable Angina. When I read about how my CPAP can help, I always see this text..

"This research shows that the most common treatment for OSA, which is using a CPAP, can reduce the buildup in the arteries. By reducing the plaque buildup, the potential for a heart attack or stroke is also reduced."

Does this mean reduce the existing plaque in my arteries (therefore reducing Angina symptoms) or does this mean reduce the BUILD UP RATE in the arteries..(which does NOT reduce the actual existing plaque, in fact)

  • Ever had chest pains from excessive smoking?

Sometimes, once every 6 months or so...I would feel out of breath at the slightest exercise, sometimes just after eating, sometimes in the morning after a shower....well recently I had pains in the chest that were pretty severe (5 out of a max of 10) but they happened right after I went to bed.

At the ER my BP went up to 240over180...I got meds and it went down....They wanted to keep me, making me think I was ready to have the big Heart Attack.. (now know that BP rarely goes up with a Heart Attack.) 8 days later and I had one episode but the Nitrate pill took care of it in 5 minutes...... I used to smoke 1 pack a day...stopped 8 days ago.....Any idea what it might be?...I am suspicious that it is NOT a Heart Attack....one more thing....I have Sleep Apnea and my machine (CPAP) is broke for a year now.... low oxygen in the blood, maybe?

    Doctors, Nurses.....welcome to answer please.

  • How do you punish kids in school?

I am a longtime (semi-retired) Engineer/Tech Writer/Teacher who, for the past 6 years, has been teaching English to Korean kids.(.8-15 year old)..they are always misbehaving, (you know, kid things) running in school, late, speaking Korean in class, pushing and wrestling, passing notes, etc. Basically a lot worse than I remember American kids.....so what punishment or teaching method would be good so we can have less chaos?.

  • What about my smokey breath?

I must explain.... I am a head teacher at a language school teaching English to Koreans.

One day My Korean manager told me the kids (on a survey) were asked what they did not like about their teachers. With various answers, some kids said they SOMETIMES smelled smoke on my and other teachers breath. So the manager asked me if i could fix it. Well I thought about this for a long time (still) , because 1. My manager smokes. 2. The owners (who is there everyday smokes. 3 Kids always have bad breath from Kim chi and garlic and poor hygiene. I guess i do not like being singled out when they themselves also have bad breath. They were not asked to complain about Korean Managers. AND I think the kids should not be coddled, bad breath is consequential event that is just a normal life issue....we do not plan it, strive for it, or want it....it just happens.(just as it happens with them) My question is not about smoking...it is about whether the manager should even mention this to us as teachers. I am kinda offended. I am starting to think this is a double standard. Many people hate smoking, get it, and i get that bad breath as a teacher is bad news.....

but i am 58 years old...i have been aware that i smoke, I am aware that we all sometimes have bad breath, I get it.! hmm I think i am steaming now after writing this......what's your opinion.....are the Koreans right to mention it, or do you think it is prejudicial and out of line and unnecessary?

  • Did Pakistan's government know about and help Bin Laden?

I think so , what do you think? Here is a quote from the US Government: "U.S. officials have said they didn't tell Pakistanis in advance because they were worried someone might tip off bin Laden'

That seems like a clear message that they are not to be trusted either.

  • Home kit for leak check and recharge?

I have a 3 year old Refrigerator that was repaired last year for a leak where my helper, while removing ice (defrosting) accidentally poked a hole in the freon circuit. It worked fine for 3 months then developed another leak near the compressor....it was repaired also and recharged...... that lasted about 4 months now it appears we have another leak somewhere..... I am getting sick of this and wondering if there is a Home leak/sealant..(lke STOPLEAK for radiators in cars) then a canister of freon to recharge it..... The repair are about $30 to $50 each....so I figure ONE MORE TIME......(by the way I live in the Philippines now...so now you know why they call this a 3rd world country...you cannot trust anything or anyone to not rip you off)
