My daughter (12) was DX with CLD a week ago. She has CVID (weak immune system, due to genetics and NOT AIDS) We do not smoke. She has had a Bronchoscopy, CT, X ray, Pulm funct test, and lung cultures. Not DX'd with Bronchiectasis, No COPD:

What can I expect for her future as far as keeping her now active lifestyle? What can I expect from this disease? I know CLD is a "blanket term" but it's all I have. She has another chest CT ordered.

Any ideas?

daughter needs to answer on a questionaire

I manage a greenhouse and we (for the first time), are wanting to try and overwinter what doesn't sell, for the next years season. The perennials are zone 5 also. Planting them in pots is not an option. Anyone know how to do this?

We do give them fresh food (fruits and veggies) and water daily and they now have a light that keeps the tank at about 75 degrees at night and room temp (about the same house temp ) during the day. We use the light at night because we turn down the temp in the house at night. Don't want them getting too cold! Anyway, when the Hermie died he did not come out of his shell (until picked up and he fell out of dead and smelly!) and was active and eating the night before. We have (had) 2 at the time but they didn't spend much time together. I just got another crab for the replacement of the one that is gone, but I don't want to lose any more. I did buy some of their totally natural food supplement because one of crabs has small pincher's. We have had the first crab for about 3 months and other than being anti-social, I think he is doing ok. Sponge in water, natural rock crabitat, wood and rocks to climb on in tank and natural sand for substrate. Anything else?

My daughter got some hermit crabs about 2 months ago and we are following the guidelines about how to care for them and feed them but one died and the other really doesn't "do" much but move a little bit from time to time. I think he's depressed. Any ideas?

My daughter (11) was diagnosed today but feels fine. She's been coughing for 2 months and this is 3rd Dr. visit and FINALLY a diagnosis besides Asthma. (has allergies too) No fever, no body aches, no vomiting. Just SEVERE CHRONIC COUGH . Is taking Prednisone, and codeine for cough.

My daughter is going to be playing on a 12 and under ASSA Sanctioned softball team and we meet today to decide on names. The team is new but the players have been playing together for a LONG time (most about 6-8 years) already and are quite good. We are no longer challenged as a team running a Tri-county circuit, so we are gonna go national. Anyone like the name Firebirds? How about Spitfires? How about Fireflies (I don't like that one.) We need more suggestions. I will let you know the name we picked later this evening. We will have to decide colors and uniforms too. Thanks!
