  • Is it normal to get a call that says your bloodwork contains elevated sepsis, so visit your doctor in 2 weeks?

Is it normal to get a call that says your bloodwork contains elevated sepsis, so visit your doctor again in 2 weeks? The past 2 weeks have been soooo frustrating. My left arm and leg are weak & ache. Last week there was also weird bleeding only when I went to the bathroom. I went to ER who ran blood work and pelvic exam. They gave me a shot of Morphine and take home pain meds saying everything looked normal. 4 days later My Doc said I may have had an undetected stroke. Sent for MRI. Nurse called with results, which came back head clear, but bloodwork says elevated sepsis. She sayed I should follow up in 2 weeks to recheck those levels. But she then said my doctor is too busy, I may have to wait a few more weeks, unless they can squeeze me in. This issue is driving me up the wall. I need my normal back, my family needs me, I need me!

  • How can I get my daughter to Bond with her Puppy?

I think the Idea of the dog for her was too glamorized. Now she barely touches him unless I tell her too. Hes a 13wk lab/mastiff mix. Of course Hes' a super jumpy, scratchy, nipping baby. But to her (shes almost 9) , Hes a walking barking Shark.

I have to tell her to walk him, pet him, interact with him more than yelling "NO!" and "STOP"!!

    Ideas?

  • Any seroquel / zoloft precribees notice change in metabolism?

I've been on seroquel & zoloft for depression, mood disorder & ptsd for about 4 months now. My weight was (@ 5' 2") 135 when I started. I started noticing swelling in my hands and feet a few weeks ago, then weighed myself last week and I clocked in at 150 pounds!!

4 weeks ago I started jogging/ 35 minutes 3-4 days a week and I haven't noticed ANY changed in my weight. I also began targeting leg & ab muscle groups, to no avail.

I'm post partum 17 months, and stopped breastfeeding aroundthe same time I began meds.

I was 117 pre-preg...so my closet is definitely getting a workout throughout this ordeal!!

  • 4 yrs ago, my "friends" Husband cheated w/many women. Now shes' battles to not have Her own affair. Help?

My friend is an amazing & beautiful woman. Shes'' successful, has her own business, has a beautiful daughter, hime, etc. But 4 years ago, she really went through an aweful time in her marriage. She found out that during the first 3 years of her marriage, her husband had been sleeping around with random women on his job.

At the time, she had given up her career to stay at home with their daughter.

Since then , she has built her own business from the ground up, carving it around her daughters school days. Shes gone through counseling and therapy, dealing with her husbands affairs.

Because of her religion ( born again christian), she wanted to forgive her husband and try to fight through that time.

My friend has never been with anyone other than her husband, she was a virgin when she got married. But she said that she is really having a hard time lately. She wants to hold her marriage high, regardless of her heartbreak.

Shes a great mom, and a stellar wife. any advice?

  • How to help a friend with Flashbacks?

How do you help a Friend with Flashbacks ?

How do you help someone with FlashBacks?

I have afriend who cannot stop talking about her tragic childhood.

She has a great business, and has done some amazing things for herself and as a young person in business ( shes only 27!),

but everytime she slows down, its like, boom, she goes into this "my parents left me, I can't trust anybody, Why did it happen, why do these things happen" kinda deal.

It doesn't help matters that she also recently went through some really tough things with an unfaithful husband.

Shes a cool person otherwise, really devoted to her Faith, and like I said, when it comes to her business, shes on Fire.

But behind closed doors, she can be a wreck.

    How can I help her?

( i originally asked this is in Family & religion, but this may be the best spot.)

  • Do the French listen to English/Christian Music?

I'm a singer songwriter from America of French/creole decent.

I have always wondered if american contemporary christian/gospel music is a welcome sound in france ( Like Nichiole Nordeman, Monika Bourgeois and CeCe Winans.) I am also interested in what types of music are the most popular in france.

  • If a client misrepresents themselves to a business, to obtain products from a business,?

I know someone who claimed to be a from a particular company, seeking "product" for that company.

Then it came to light that that person was not even with that particular company, having caused the other business much valuable time, energy and money. Isn't this illegal?

  • Why are Christians afraid of Myspace? Or for that matter, the internet?

I watched a show the other day where a televangelist was preaching about the "dangers" of Myspace.

I was like 'you have got to be kidding me! Where do we draw the line?

Just like with e-mail, and websites, and people you meet everyday, you always have to be watchful of whats coming at you. If thats the case, lets shut down the internet, because "who knows whats lurking in here."

I'm not saying that we shouldn't have a cause for concern, but the same goes for everyday life.

No you can't just believe every person who wants to be your "Friend" is out to be your "friend" on your terms. But we can't turn into turtles every time it looks like its "gonna rain evil."

Aren't we bigger than that? Smarter than that? Stronger than that? Aren't we the Conquerers'?

I've been in business for almost 2 years on the Web (www.SingNika.com), and Had I listened those who were fearful of this "semi-newness",I would never have stepped out to test this water. And it feels good.

    Thoughts?

Have you ever felt like you learned about God "The Wrong way", only to have to spend an ample amount of time relearning Him" The Right Way? I guess you can only truly understand this question if you've had to go there.
