  • Out of my T-Mobile Contract?

I have been with T-Mobile for years and never had an issue. I moved into a new place in the summer and only get 1 or 2 bars at the most. Myself and daughter keep having dropped calls and have to wait a long time to send or receive MMS texts. I was waiting to see what happened with the AT&T merger before I complained. Now that the merger has fallen through I approached T-Mobile with my concerns. The only options they had were to check to see if they could get me a signal booster, which apparently I do not qualify for but they refuse to tell me why. Also they offered to have a "engineer" go out to my area and check the tower and asked to call back in 72 hours. Well I called back 120 hours later and was told that the rep did not submit the request for an engineer. This really got my gears going because they fell through on their promise.

I asked for a supervisor who got me now where, who just kept quoting section 8 of their Terms & Conditions:

    8. Service Availability. Coverage maps only approximate our anticipated wireless coverage area outdoors; actual Service area, coverage and quality may vary and change without notice depending on a variety of factors including network capacity, terrain and weather. Outages and interruptions in Service may occur, and speed of Service varies. You agree we are not liable for problems relating to Service availability or quality.

In other words, they are not responsible if i can't get coverage where I live, even though I pay them for service.

Fed up with this I wrote to the BBB stating my situation and their responses. A T-Mobile rep contacted back through the BBB stating that I have used and average of 1000 minutes in the last 3 months and they see no issue with the service and if I were to cancel they WILL charge me the ETF of $200 per line.

I called the T-Mobile rep that was in charge of the BBB complaint and left her two voice mails and 2 numbers where I could be reached and she never called. I reported this to the BBB and T-Mobile's response was that I did not offer any solutions and the ETF still stands. I tried calling her back and she doesn't answer or returns my calls.

Anyone know a way around this or anyone I could speak to? I would've been happy with a signal booster but after they refuse to help me I want out. I do not have buyer's remorse, I was VERY happy with T-Mobile until this incident came up I just feel that if you sign a contact to provide service you should do that especially if I'm paying you for it.
