  • Does the California DMV really check release of liability buyer and new titled owner names?

I was curious for buying vehicles with jumped titles. Will the DMV actually crosscheck my name with the name on the release of liability if I put my information on the title? I know lost title vehicles are nearly impossible to transfer twice without correct paperwork, but what happens if:

    1. Some guy2 buys a car from guy1 but leaves buyer information blank.

    2. Guy1 fills out release of liability with guy2's information.

    3. I buy the car from guy2 and fill in my information into the buyer field, even though it doesn't match release of liability?

Looking for REAL, relevant information on this. Not people telling me to never do it without a reason. Thanks!

  • Dynamic/changing content using CSS or?

I've tried using both Joomla and Drupal, but the former is a pain in the neck to create pages with, and the latter seems to be lacking the real power I need in website design and creation. I am ready to turn back to CSS, but the problem is the dynamic content. iframes are bad to use, but I still want to be able to make a menu that I can change only once. I don't know enough php, and I can't build MySQL databases. Any suggestions on what I can use. I need a setup for a huge network site with multiple components. Think http://backpacker.com./ Any suggestions? I would really prefer a CMS system if at all possible, but Joomla is freaking out and won't load the style sheet past the homepage for some reason.

  • Best way to go with CMS or other software?

I am starting an online publication, which may eventually turn into print. It's loaded with features like calendars, blogs, videos, articles, advice sections, forums, etc. Basically, it's like a Discovery Channel website in terms of features, but I want it to look like http://www.backpacker.com./ The only problem is I can't find a drupal theme I like (I decided I don't like it very much at all), and I don't know what else to do. I took a look at joomla for managing all the content, but I am still undecided which way to go. Does anyone know of any way to create a great site with all these features on it? Joomla, another CMS, hand-coded PHP and MySQL, html, css??? I'm pretty lost, and all I know is html, css, and a little PHP. It needs to be easy to edit because of the huge amounts of fresh content per day, but look great, have a good banner, etc. Help?

  • Why is my code doing this?

My code is making this symbol: Â Whenever I do a space, it does that. I am using a WYSIWYG editor, and just type whatever I want right into it. But it keeps doing this: Â After a space. It doesn't show it right away, only when I save the file. Could someone please explain to me why it is doing that and how to fix it by using code or something? Thanks!
