Can my Employer force me to work 21 consecutive days (08:00 - 16:30), and also be available for Out of Hours call outs.

I belive we were "encouraged" to sign an opt out form many years ago relating to the 48 hour week.

Isn't "overtime" and "weekend" work voluntary ? ( I'n NOT in an occupation such as police, army etc.. )

All the long "string" like named folders are empy, so can i deleate them, and where do they come from ?? My AV is up to date.

my 19 yr old granddaughter has been asked to leave her family home, and wants to stay with us. We live in a council property, is there a maximum period she can do this, and if yes, how long does she have to go somewhere else before she can come back ?

she has ask to go onto the council waiting list, and we have also asked for a transfer.

the council also know she is with us,

She has the House, Furnished, as part of the settlement. An income from me for the kids, a good job, a very low mortgage repayment, a documented "loan of30K to clear debts" from her dad.

I have a single income, living in Rented accommodation. The absolute came through with a court order that I have to pay her legal fees (in excess of 2K!), where as mine were modest at 500£. We had agreed for a "clean break".

I can't afford any more legal battles, and don't qualify for legal aid :-(

anyone have any idea (or experience) that may help ????

She refuses to apply for the Absolute paperwork, but assume I am now Divorced (as the legal time has expired, and i've got my Nisi) Plus she's also refusing to sign and return the Financial "clean break" (order of service) Paperwork.

What can I do to expedite, or hurry this up ? Will i need to get Legal people involved, or can I get some sort of Court order ??? It's been 6 months since we split.

y Wieless router should only ask for a Password,not a key, as it's always done.

I have a new laptop, which can see the router, yet either asks for a 64/128 bit key, or (when selecting open WEP) say's unable to find a certificate to log you on ??

Novice here, whats wrong ?

I'm sure my hard drive(s) has either obsolete, redundant, or duplicated files that are no longer used/required. Does anyone know of any application/program that scans/and lists these ?

I know I have some duplicates because I recently replaced my old HDD for a bigger, newer SATA drive, and although I deleted lots from old, (which I now use for storage) my OS is on the new drive, and was just removed/deleted from the old one (i hope) It only gives one boot option on start up, (on new drive XP) so assume it's not got a complete os on it.

I am using a Netgear WGR614 as Wireless router For Laptops, and Wii, and have (Via Rj45 port) Hard wired a PC.

This works fine and is stable.

I have an old Netgear WG834G. Would it be possible to use this, say upstairs, connected to an Xbox, and PS3 (network ports) to wireless link them to the Main router ? (use as a wireless reciever/transmitter)

Powers up (can here the CPU fan, so is power) No screen, no back light on LCD. no POST bleeps, (No error bleeps when memory removed) can't hear HDD spinning either. Is it possible it's a Mother board fault ? (removing HDD has no effect either?)

I know you can get programs to compress films to fit onto a DVD, but can you get/do the same for music CD's

I want to transfer a music LP onto a CD, but it say's the file is too big ?? (only allows 90 mins )

Laptop running XP home. Ran uninstaller, says can't find file. although the programs works with no problem, (?) so want to completely remove. now asks for CDrom, (long gone..) so want to completely get it off my Laptop. (going to use open office instead)
