I received a call today saying that I won a 2 night, 3 day vacation at an all-inclusive resort in the bahamas, mexico, or somewhere else. They said I entered the contest through a bridal shop. I did enter into a drawing at the David's Bridal website, but they couldn't confirm where I had entered. There's a catch though. I have to go to a 1 hour presentation this Saturday to get my prize. They said they want us to check out their products and give them our opinions. There is no commitment to buy anythin. It looks like they do bridal registries. They sell household items, mostly for the kitchen. Their website is www.rphealthspectrum.com

So, I've had some really bad luck today. First, my car wouldn't start, so when I went to open the hood so that I could get jumpstarted, the hood release broke. It's still attached onto the plastic handle under the steering wheel, but the cable is loose. I'm assuming it broke somewhere under the hood. Now, how do I get the hood opened? Also, any tips on replacing or fixing the release cable once I get the hood up? Thanks in advance!

I just painted my nails this morning and they're already chipping. I've tried better nail polishes like OPI, and it works a little better, but still after 1 or 2 days they chip. I pretty much stick to clear nail polish because of this, but I'm getting married in August and I want my nails to look nice. Any suggestions? Is there anything I can do to my nails before I paint them to make it stick better?

It's going to be next month and an outdoor wedding, so chocolate and other candies that melt are out. I plan on ordering these cute ceramic heart shaped baskets:

and putting candy in them wrapped in tulle. I was thinking Jordan Almonds, but I don't know. Any other ideas?

It's not like there are tons of characters or in a society different from our own, so what's going to be in this thing? It seems to me like a ploy to pry money out of the pockets of teenage girls obsessed with the series who will buy anything that says "Twilight" on it and swear it is the best thing ever.

We're having a small ceremony at our house, nothing super formal, but still classy. I was thinking of wearing a summery dress, white if I can find it, about down to the knees. Where can I find something like that?

I'm thinking about getting personalized m&m's to give away as favors at my wedding, but I'm wondering if the silver and gold m&m's are metallic or just a yellow and gray.

I'm kind of interested in the whole modern day fairie thing. I've been reading Laurell K Hamilton's Meredith Gentry series and last book in the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs had to do with fairies. I never thought I'd like them, but they're good! I know Tithe is for young adults, but was it any good? Do you think I might enjoy it? Thanks!!

I've read all the books in the Mercy series so far and now I'm looking for other books, specifially with walkers like Mercy in them. I was looking at amazon, but I'm just not sure what's good. Do you have any recommendations?

He is 17 yrs old, 5'6". He started getting a pain in his stomach early last week. Anything he eats or drinks, even water, causes his stomach great pain. It's a burning type pain that doubles him over. He went to the doctor Friday (after he had lost some weight already) and weighed 133 lbs. The doctor thought it might be the flu (even though he didn't have a fever, body aches or anything else). On Monday, he was sent home from school because he was in so much pain and went to the doctor again. They took blood, gave him an x-ray. They also checked his lungs and heart, both okay. Today he went back again and the doctor said the blood work and the x-ray came back normal. The doctor seems to think it may be mono, which I had when I was younger, but he doesn't seem to fit the symptoms (swollen glands, tired). He's down to 118lbs today, that's a 15lbs weight loss since Friday. He's going back to the doctor on Friday, but I don't know what they're going to do.

I have been using Clinique Happy Heart for a while and I just want something new. I don't like anything that's too sweet smelling. I'm 25 yrs old if that helps (aka - no old lady or teenage girl perfumes). lol

I'm baking and the recipe calls for one box of light brown sugar. Thanks!

My fiance and I just ordered wedding bands and decided to go with tungsten carbide. I have a tendencey to develop a rash from cheap jewelry or even watches and earrings have to be silver, gold, or made for sensitive ears, otherwise they get infected. I know that some of the cheaper tungsten carbide rings use cobalt in the manufacturing process which can cause irritation. We are purchasing "Artcarved" brand ring which aren't supposed to use that process. Do you think it's possible that I will have a reaction? Any info will be greatly appreciated!

It's a children's book (lots of pictures) about a child who has a goldfish. He keeps feeding it more and more food, so it get bigger and bigger. He keeps on putting it in different containers. At one point I think it's in a tub. I don't remember how it ends, sorry!
