I call it like I see it. If you ask a question, I'll give you a brutally honest answer. I don't know everything and I never claim to. I love God, yet I'm not a "Bible Thumper" and never will be. "Live and let live" is my favorite saying.

  • I’m looking for a movie, maybe you can help?

I saw it a looooong time ago and I can’t remember the title.

It was about either a nuclear war or pandemic. I think the former. There was a crew on a submarine during the exchange. The one scene that stuck with me was I believe at the end where the crew managed to finally make contact with the outside via radio. Turned out to be a kid who was crying about a parent being “asleep” who then shot him(her?)self. Gun or something.

I know it’s not a lot to go on but if anyone has an idea I’d be ever so appreciative. Thank you!

  • How to best preserve newspapers?

I have three newspapers. One is a New York Times from September 12, 2001. One is a New York Times from May 02, 2011. The last is a New York Daily News from May 02, 2011. I know that newspapers in general do not age well so I want to preserve them as best I can. They are wrapped in plastic right now and I keep them from light.

I guess my question is would it be best to leave them wrapped in plastic or would it be better to select the articles and images that I want and have them matted and framed?

    Opinions welcome.

    Thanks!

  • XBox 360 Gamertag issues?

Hello! I have an XBox 360 gamertag. I also have a Microsoft Live id. Is there a way to combine the two? I want to be able to share my stats on the live.xbox.com site but when I try to sign up at the website it says that my gamertag is taken. I know it is and I can do a search of myself and see my avatar and stats. How do I link my current xbox live account and the website? Or is it even possible? If this is confusing I can try to clarify if needed. Thanks in advance!

  • Switching out satellite receivers...?

When you change out a satellite receiver, do you lose the programs you have recorded via DVR? I have Directv if that makes a difference. I discovered that mine went out sometime last night and can't be fixed so they're sending me a new one. I have several shows on the old one that I don't want to lose though. Any thoughts?

  • For FedEx 2day...?

... is a signature required on delivery? It doesn't specify on the website but I want to be sure. I have errands to run tomorrow and I have a package coming in. I'm hoping that they'll just leave it at the door. Will they?

    Thank you very much. =)

  • Trying to find a book I read long ago...?

Ok, so not all that long ago. It was in middle school. It's a fiction story and I'm guessing the age range would be the middle school years. Maybe young adult.

Anyways, it's about a mother and her daughter. The mother gives birth to her daughter, and they are turned away from their tribe. (I think they're Indian or something like that) Anyhoo, It's basically a coming of age story about the daughter. Something like she's on a spirit journey or something so that she can become a woman. I can't really remember but I think the title had the word "Mother" in it.

If anyone has ANY idea on where I could possibly look please let me know. I've already looked at amazon.com and ebay.

  • Need money help...?

I've trimmed down my budget, canceled my cell phone, and even got rid of my cable. I'm still having trouble making ends meet. Even though I can't really afford it, I just sent my parents a check for $500 to help with their flood damages since their insurance won't cover it. Basically it was all I had in savings.

Meh, anyways, my question is, does anyone know of any other ways to make a few extra bucks a month?

  • Where can I get a copy of my birth certificate?

I know there's tons of places to go. Does anyone know of a place to go that won't cost 50 + dollars? It seems wherever I go someone is wanting to rip you off just to get a peice of paper. Anyone know of a legit place to turn to? I'd need it from San Antonio, Texas in case you are wondering.
