I got my Bachelors and Master's in Statistics and have been having a hard time getting a job. Part of it is because my competition seem to have advanced programming skills. I know enough for my major. Also is I have all the Statistics knowledge but knowing math isn't what jobs are looking for. I have no idea what I should focus on to learn bc every company is so vastly different. I'm driving myself crazy figuring out what I need to learn.

Plus for years I tried getting an internship and I had a Marketing one that I liked but couldn't turn it into a full time. I also love teaching so I've been an Adjunct for two years. I've been substituting for one and have been applying to long term positions. Would a long term guarantee entry into a teaching position from K-12? I already have my certification. I tried applying to full time teaching jobs but figured I needed long term. I'm always so close to last interview.

Although I love teaching, I honestly don't know how good my chances are. I don't know if I should keep trying (I heard many people try for years) or suck it up and somehow become a programmer even though I'll have to learn a lot. I also will find myself hating it I'm sure compared to teaching although Subbing for over a year and feeling like **** from students everyday doesn't help either.

I'm currently studying for the GMAT to help with my Business experience. They have good programs in India and relatively cheap but offers high job prospects. Thoughts?

I feel like i'm so out of date on them so what are some of your favorite recent ones? I have to check out **** Girls say and all the other main ones viraling out of that one lol. I am having trouble deciding between the two programs. My passion comes from teaching and my major is currently statistics. I have mixed feelings on the subject; i hate it sometimes and i like it sometimes and I'm not sure if I want to make a career out of it and end up hating it. I feel like also a lot of statistics jobs are computer programming based which im bad at. A Master in Math Education will be easier since the courses are education classes but Masters in Statistics is similar to my undergraduate just harder. I guess with Statistics I'll have more of a broader scope but to teach I'd have to get a PHD.....Any thoughts/comments/suggestions? Thanks!

On New years eve, I performed a dance at a party and I had been last minute practicing during the day for a few hours. The next day my arms started hurting a lot for some reason; which never happen but I haven't danced in a while. Then yesterday, I shoveled and today woke up with them hurting alot more. I took tylenol; should I just wait or go to the doctor?

I'm just interested what ideas people have. Feel free to give as many details as u want.

Personally, I wanted to see a couple of situations play out; Phoebe with Joey and Phoebe with David. I did like Mike but I'm divided between the three since they were all so good with her. They are already a couple at the end, but I wish I could have seen Rachel and Ross more. They don't do anything for 6 years and then the show is finished :( And Joey is with no one...

I've been watching the original 90210 and the first four seasons were great. Brenda Walsh leaves the show and I've read some weird stuff goes on later. Is it wortt watching the rest of the seasons?

Also who were your favorite characters? Mine had to be Donna Martin and Steve Sanders who was hilarious haha. I liked all of them though; can't believe Brenda doesn't come back!!!

I used collegeboard to see if I can get into certain colleges when I applied to undergrad. Is there an equivalent for grad school? I'm concerned about my GRE scores. I would like to know where I would be able to get in. Thanks so much for your help.

I want to celebrate my birthday with a bang. I want to be able to hang out with my underage friends as well as my older ones. I was thinking about going to NYC. Are there are 18 plus clubs there? We could go out to eat, and go to a club or something. Let me know what other ideas you have!

I've tried allergy medication, robitussin and cold medecine. Since I'm not completely sure if its allergies/cold. The thing is I have a lot of mucus in my nose that is causing problems; sometimes I feel like I can't breathe and it's affecting me even when I'm not doing anything. I even cough uncontrollably at times and I sound like I'm about to throw up; its because of the mucus. I have to swallow it down and it still comes back later...I don't even think any medication is working. Should I just wait for it to go away? It's been there for a week. I guess I'm getting a little better because I had hearing problems before and other symptoms of allergies...The mucus thing is just really annoying

I was just wondering. If you have a job or are required to be somewhere; are you supposed to adjust to the time change? Also it has been raining a lot lately and the power's been out so I'm assuming it should be alright.

I was just wondering how most people meet their loves. And how do they approach asking them out? I rarely ever see that in public; I only just see couples just there in society.

This year I haven't really gone out that often. I usually am at home watching tv or reading a book; spending a lot of "me" time basically. I like hanging out with friends when they're not busy. When I go to parties though, I feel extremely bored. Maybe for a short period of time, it's funny to see drunk people make a fool out of themselves but after that its basically kind of boring for me. I go with friends usually but they are a lot more outgoing and seem to drift off after a while. I try interacting with people but usually the type of people I meet are not that interesting. Maybe I'm not a people person. Once my friend invited me to an event on campus; there was a local hip hop artist but the music was just bland and i ended up leaving early. I think also in general I tend to have less of an interest in things. I've been to Europe many times when I was younger so when I go to somewhere like the Grand Canyon I just don't really think of it as fun since all I've ever done is sightsee. I don't know; I think I should just stick to doing things I like to do or maybe when I meet the right person I'll start to have more fun in life or something. I just think it's weird that I'm bored by life basically

self-explained title

I've been part of a dance company for a while now and I have gotten away with wearing normal black sneakers for rehearsals since other people did and never needed jazz shoes for dances since black sneakers were allowed....but now it may not be the case. I'm a little embarassed to ask where the rest of the girls get theirs especially since they have more dance experience than me as well....I kind of joined two yrs ago and picked it up quickly...

I feel like society in general emphasizes sex to the point where it's completely meaningless. Is it possible to fall in love? I have nothing against sex; it just bothers me that sex is such a big part of life; it is used to advertise; it is used to bribe at times, and it's just so common to have sex meaninglessly. I just lower my expectations on love; I feel like you have to be a robot with no feelings so that one doesn't get hurt. I mean this for guys as well....
