If a tradesman in the UK got a relative to pretend to be a satisfied customer and provide a reference to immigration officer processing an emigration application three years ago, and are subsequently now in Australia, would they be allowed to remain in Australia if the authorities found out about the false reference they provided? Just curious.

If a tradesman planning to emigrate to Australia sent a reference meant to be from a customer to the immigration officer processing the application, but it was actually from a family member; how would the Australian authorities view this after a 3 year period? Would he be ordered to leave Australia for supplying a false reference? Just curious.

Ford Focus TDCi 05 plate. Has reason to remove front seat. Battery disconnected. Security nut and wiring plug removed from under seat. Job completed and seat replaced, and wiring plug re-inserted as it was previously. It can only be fitted on way. Battery re-connected. Turned key in ignition and started engine. Airbag warning light stays lit continuously. Everything checks out. Wiring plug in tight. No previous problems. Should have been a straight-forward putting everything back in reverse order, and no sign of a bad connection in wiring plug. Any ideas?

Bought Ring Lyra LED lights for 2005 Ford Focus. Basic diagram says to connect white wire with 2 amp fuse to +ve terminal on car battery; black cable from both LED's to earth on car; and yellow cable from both lights (LED's) to feed wire from switch to sidelights. Tested LED's and they work, however, they remain powered on. Should this be happening, or should there be a switch run up to dash? Any other way to wire them up, or has Ring goofed here?

In Glasgow there is a 4 hour restriction on parking for visitors. Some staff (management, consultants, clerical staff, etc) get free parking permits. Other staff, mostly the nursing staff, are not allowed to park in the hospital because of the 4 hour rule and being fined £40. I would like to know if this fine is legal under Scottish law and can it be contested as an illegal fine?

In a few modern choruses, and also some preachers have said that "God gives and he takes away." What exactly does this mean? Can you give some examples to demonstrate this?

It has been said that God does not remove any gifts that he has given someone even if they go on to blatantly sin. In what context does God give something and then later take it away? To take something away could imply that God was not aware that the gift would be abused, etc. This question is not specifically about gifts, but I am looking to understand this subject.

Switch is integrated into black plastic moulding (which Ford call the handle - the entire black moulding) on tailgate. Switch filled with water and stopped working. Have removed plastic panel inside tailgate and can see 4 nuts, however, there are also 2 white plastic plugs - one at each end. Do these white plastic plugs pull off or are they snapped off. If snapped off then do I need to replace this black plastic moulding too. Any advice appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Moving from UK to South Australia. If I buy a car in Sydney and take it to Adelaide how much will it cost to have it registered in Adelaide and are there any other costs?

My old fob from a 52 Mondeo was re-programmed for an 05 new shape Focus as per the Ford manual and works. I got a new flat blade from a Ford dealer online (cheaper) and had it cut where I stay at another Ford dealer, however, it opens the door and turns the ignition lights on, but will not start the engine. The dealer says it will need to be programmed by them before it will work and says it will take an hour and cost £64. They said something about new laser cutting and that the re-programming described in the manual does not work with the new flat blades/keys.

Any knowledgable help would be helpful as I'm not sure if they are trying to fool me into parting with money.

There are a few things this person has said that does not sound right and I know there is a way of at least verifying the country of source that the emails are coming from althought their true identity may remain unknown.

When there is as much, if not more snow in Scotland, it rarely gets a mention in the TV yet today all news channels just went on and on about snow in England. The motorways and main roads are kept open here and people don't moan but just get on with life, but somehow south of Scotch Corner moaning is a way of life.

Leave for work a few minutes earlier, drive slower, etc. It's winter and snow is expected! Are the folk of London so soft they can't handle a little of the white stuff? I suppose they will all want financial compensation because of the great hardship they are facing?

I think this is the real issue! People and society is too soft now and used to an easy life, and a few inches of snow becomes a major problem in their lives!

Are there any snowploughs in England? Gritters? Were the councils involved ready for snow or were they expecting another heatwave?

Atheism is only an excuse for people to hide from their need of religion. I have seen atheists, spiritualists, and every other 'ist call out to the God of the Bible when facing death. Everyone has a religion of some sort regardless of how much they deny it.

If these people have facts them present them. Anyone can make a claim to know a fact, but few actually follow through. If evolution is a fact then prove it. This should not be too difficult.

Dealer wants almost £100 to supply key and programme remote fob. I know how to re-programme remote but need new key - which is new flat style and not normal Ford shape. It is a 3 button remote. Cannot find flat key blank, which can be cut, on Ebay or anywhere else. Any help appreciated.
