Does my ex still have feelings for me?
Even though we are no longer together; we still remained good friends. I recently started dating a guy and wanted to tell him about it. But every time I try to bring it up he seems to want to avoid it or change the subject; does that mean he still has feelings for me? Or it doesn't mean anything?
For the record he dumped me....which is why I'm confused...he's also seeing another girl too, so I know he doesn't want to get back w/ me.

3 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoIf they do a background check does that mean I'm hired?
It's been two weeks since my interview and word should be coming soon, but recently they sent me a background check report (verifying previous employment, educ, driving). Does this mean I'm hired???
6 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoCan I get my eyes "measured" for contacts after having an eye exam?
So apparently when i was getting contacts, the center where I was getting my eyes checked out didn't have tools that would measure my diameter or base curve, and now I'm worried that the contacts they prescribed me aren't my fit. However I don't have any more insurance coverage since my last exam, so anyone know if there's a way I can just get my eyes "measured" without going through the entire exam? Thanks!
2 AnswersOther - General Health Care1 decade agoWhy don't I feel social and connected with people anymore?
When I was younger I made friends very easily, even if I was shy, I felt like if there was opportunity, I always connected with people. Now even though there are many social opportunities, I just feel like I either dislike the people I meet or just don't become friends with them. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING...I'm really feeling lost because I feel like its me who's ruining these chances, and I don't know why I don't want to be friends with anyone anymore...please help....
10 AnswersFriends1 decade agoHow do I handle "relationship" with my boss?
This is really lame but I really need help on this...my boss is a really nice guy and I feel like we get along really well, and part of me wants us to be friends more than just co-workers, yet I don't want to cross that "professional" line if he doesn't feel that way. How do I know if he's just being nice or would be open to friendship? And how do I keep professional but still friendly?
5 AnswersEtiquette1 decade agoWhy do I feel so anti-social?
There are periods in my life when I just feel really annoyed and pissed off at everyone and don't want to talk to anybody, which tends to drive ppl away...how can I stop feeling this way so I don't lose all my friends?

5 AnswersEtiquette1 decade agoIs it okay to use an employee as job reference?
I don't have that much work experience or kept in touch w/ my supervisors, so I feel more comfortable asking a fellow employee. Is it possible to use an employee (on your level) as a reference on job app? Thanks

1 AnswerFriends1 decade agoHow to reduce the temperature in my apt?
My apartment faces west and gets up to 90-100 degrees...it's pretty much unbearable. Please give me some advice to *reduce* the temperature other than fans/ACs. How much do drapes actually reduce temps by? I have a light curtain...does that mean it absorbs more heat? What else can I do...(cheaply)..I'm going to die in this heat!!!
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoDifference between male/female job interviewers?
I'm a woman, and I'm wondering if there are differences in job interviews when being interviewed by a man or woman (aside from your own qualifications). Do you think it might be easier with the opposite sex? Do you think looks make a difference? Would women be more put off by good looking women, and vice versa for men?
Just wondering hehe...maybe next time I'll watch how I dress myself. Thanks for your responses!

3 AnswersCareers & Employment1 decade agoHow do make my sliding door slide more smoothly?
There's some sticky stuff and other little things stuck apparently under my sliding door that now makes it VERY difficult to open and close my sliding glass door...I pretty much need to lift it and move it step by step, rather than a smooth motion. How can I cure this problem? Thanks :)
9 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoHow do I make my door open/close more quietly?
My front door is being very noisy in that when turning the knob it is very stiff and does this "clanky" noise...also when I close the door to leave its very tight to shut and often makes a really loud clang against the frame when its closing. Any way to fix this?
Thanks so much
22 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoCan I refuse to show my apartment while I'm living in it?
My apt manager posted a notice that she will be showing my apt to prospective tenants (since I'm moving out in a couple months) until it is rented. I am a little angry at this because I don't want people coming in all the time and it's a little rude while I'm still living here. Do I have the right to refuse to show until I move out?
thanks- it would help a lot?
4 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoPossible for me to become a fiction writer and get paid?
Whoo...this isn't easy. I've been recently daydreaming about becoming a fiction writer (short stories/novels) and perhaps making some kind of living out of it. I enjoy writing but I've never published nor do I have any literary background beyond high school. Do you think it's a little far-fetched for me to want to pursue this? What are the likelihood of success? Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated....I am at such a fork right now.
Thanks
