It's impossible to post comments, and comment ratings have disappeared as well ! This has been going on for at least the past 4 days, with no change in sight !! WHAT'S THE PROBLEM YAHOO ???

Is it possible to BLOCK specific, individual websites from accessing my computer ......... WITHOUT, blocking other similar websites ? Assuming I have the IP address(s) of this / these websites .. I'm NOT refering to Spam .. Not sure WHAT you would classify them as ( other than P.I.T.A.'s !! ) but they break into my " surfing ", and disrupt my entire system and show up as unauthorized registry changes, and make it necessary to reboot the entire session ..

What parameters does a cable t.v. / internet provider use to determine use-able reception strength, and is it possible for an end-user to measure this without $1,000,000 worth of equipment ??

Just read the news report about a young woman being burned to death at a Colorado Springs 7/11 conveniance store as a result of a driver striking a pick-up, which then pinned her between a vehicle and the gas pump she was using.. The collision ignited the gas pump, which then exploded, killing the woman .. I COULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT I WAS READING !!!!!!! WHERE WERE THE AUTOMATIC FIRE EXTINGUISHERS AT THIS STATION ????? AREN'T THEY REQUIRED BY LAW AT COLORADO GAS STATIONS ???? Or is this ANOTHER state - by - state requirement / law / regulation ??? More to the point, are they ( as they SHOULD BE !! ) required at gas stations in YOUR STATE ???? Put yourself ( or your CHILDREN ) in this womans position !!

Was recently given a nearly new la-z-boy recliner.. A couple of the bolster buttons on the seat-back have been stretched away from the face fabric.. They're STILL ATTACHED, it's just that their attachment cords are stretched.. QUESTIONS : What are these cords attached to inside the seat-back ? Is it possible to replace these stretched cords with new ones, without disassembling the entire seat-back ? What would you recommend using ? I've got $00.00 invested in this chair and it's definitely worth repairing / saving ! Thanks for any / all help ..

'06 Ranger FX-4 : Problem; 2 minor " thumb-size " dents in tail-gate just BELOW ( of course ) tail-gate protector.. Naturally, there isn't another scratch or dent on this truck ANYWHERE (to date).. Paint's not cracked, scuffed, etc., so WITHOUT getting into major body work ( Please note, I said WITHOUT ), what are my options as far as removing, repairing, covering these " eye-sores " on an otherwise perfect looking vehicle ?? Oh, and by the way, spare me the " Ford Jokes ", I've heard them all 10 million times before !! LOL !!

Would anyone know if they still import / sell Yamaha snowblowers in Canada ?? Some idiot decided to stop selling them in the States, years ago and my 19 year old YS-828T is starting to show its age.. I live close enough that a trip across the border for a new one is possible; just need to know who, where & if they're available..

Purchased in Jan.'06, this truck is about to go through its' third winter season.. Problem ? I plan on getting all four tires re-balanced and having the shop use adhesive wheel weights on the REAR of the wheels ONLY.. Why ? Corrosion around nearly every clamp-on wheel weight on the face of each wheel, caused, of course, by road salt attacking the aluminum because the wheel weights cut through the clear coat on the wheel.. With me so far ?? Hopefully I've caught this problem in time so that I can polish out the corrosion, or at least stop it from doing more damage by careful use of my Dremel tool and some aluminum polish.. Question: What does Ford use to clear-coat these wheels ; Clear lacquer - OR - Clear enamel ?? Obviously these spots will have to be re-painted & I want to use the correct paint.. I have access to both types.. Also ; How many coats & what prep solvent / cleaner should I use pre-paint ?? Please, NO guesses or " I Thinks' "..

This may seem like a basic question / procedure for those of you that deal with this on a daily basis, but it continues to catch me off guard and makes me want to smash my keyboard in frustration.. Question: While typing an e-mail, I accidently stuck the "ALT " key while trying to hit the space bar.. I'm sure anyone who's done this before knows what happened next....... yeah, a split second pause followed by the entire page disappearing back to whatever previous page you were on....... in other words, adios' e-mail, gone forever...........or was it ??? A half hours' worth of typing, GONE !!! Please, somebody tell me there was a simple way to correct this screw-up !!! Yeah, I know, learn to type, HA ! HA !........NEXT !!

Anyone up to playing " Teach the dummy how to use a computer " ???

This models' been around for years and has a well earned reputation for being reliable as a stone.. Question: My '07 with 1500 +/- miles starts well, runs well (at normal op. temp.) but has what I can only describe as a slight " carb lag " just off idle that's also noticable during throttle roll-on out on the road.. What's happening here ? I suspect lean jetting but the plugs look fine .. Fuel octane makes no difference, nor does changing brands.. Air filter's stock & spotless.. Fuel mileage is off the chart......high 60's......this at road speeds of 65 - 75.. Again, this points toward lean jetting, but ?? Hope to make this bike a long term " keeper " so working out the quirks while it's fresh & new will pay off down the road.. Suggestions / comments / wise *** remarks............anyone ??

I need a NEW driver side door for a '99 Chevy Cavalier 2dr. coupe FROM AN ONLINE SOURCE, preferably aftermarket..Need JUST " THE DOOR ", no trim, window, hinges, etc.. Can't seem to locate a source for the outer skin and / or inner shell.. Need something with NO RUST ANYWHERE.. Realistically priced.. I have salvage yard sources / prices but would prefer new or near new..

Suddenly all I see is Michelle Smith anchoring the 6:00 (p.m.) news on CBS - 6, Albany, N.Y.. What's going on, and what's happened to Liz Bishop ?? Has she retired ? Did she quit ? Has she been fired ?? I swear, I've never seen a tv channel that shuffles / sheads news personell like this one.. Here today & GONE tomorrow.. What's their problem anyway ? Just get used to seeing one reporter and the next thing you know, they're GONE !! Liz Bishop IS Channel 6 news, whether THEY choose to acknowledge / admit it or not !! I have absolutely nothing against their newer reporters, for the most part, they're excellant, but we " older / long time " viewers, at least this one, have watched Liz since her first days on this network and think of her as " family ", my apologys to younger viewers or those who don't share my view-point.. Cripe, even I watch news on other channels sporatically, but always keep coming back to Liz on 6, at 6.. But then, you know what they say about opinions !! LOL !! ;-))

I'm 59 years "young" and have been bothered by the thought that to a degree my career / goals in life have been hampered by my seeming inability to " learn " advanced math, e.g. algebra, trig., etc., etc. Of course having a "teacher" way back in 8th grade who couldn't tolerate / understand a student that she couldn't "teach such simple subjects" didn't help matters.. I'm currently unemployed and the odds against finding a better than average paying job in my area, at my age, without strong math skills are astronomical.. Obviously there MUST be easy to understand / comprehend ways to learn these math skills at home at my pace, at my age.. Any advice / suggestions would be very much appreciated especially from "been there / done that" individuals.. Thanks in advance..

Just purchased an '07 Suzuki DR650SE and I can't believe how much pure enjoyment I'm getting exploring on this bike since I haven't done any off-road riding in 40+ years ! However, the small gas tank has got to go.. 50% of the time by the time I get to where I want to ride off-road, 1/2 to 3/4 of a tank is gone.. So far I have found larger tanks for nearly every Suzuki dirt bike ever made, EXCEPT THE DR650 which is more likely than any other model to be ridden longer distances due to its' on/off road design.. Just doesn't make sense to me, a long range bike with no range ! Please, someone whos' actually purchased one, or knows someone who has, tell me there's a company out there that makes a bigger tank for this machine and any other info. related.. Thanks in advance..

Need to change trans. fluid.. Going nuts trying to find what " they " call, the transmission VENT TUBE.. " They " claim this is where you fill this transmission.. I'm probably looking right at the !!@**# thing and don't recognize/realize what it is !!! HELP, I'm blind in one eye, and can't see out of the other !!!

Help !!! Does anyone, anywhere know if Yamaha still manufactures snowblowers, and if so, where are they available ?? I currently own an 18 year old YS-828T model that despite my best efforts is showing signs of eminent death.. Obviously with a track record like this machine has, I would definitely like to replace it with an identical model if at all possible !! No U.S. dealer I'm aware of sells these excellant machines and I'm at a complete loss as to why Yamaha seems to have discontinued manufacture of them.. Any / All information is very much appreciated..

I'm very aware of the fact that everyone has their own

" theory " on what should and shouldn't be done with a computer.. However, I have never been able to get a logical, definitive answer as to whether it is " healthier " for the CPU to be left ON all the time or turned off after each use.. EG: My 6 month old Gateway CPU automatically goes into hibernation whenever no activity takes place for a given amount of time.. My monitor also shuts down shortly thereafter.. Is this automatically induced hibernation the same as a manually choosen hibernation at shutdown ? Is it safe/health for the computer to be left " ON " indefinitely rather than subjecting it to daily start-up routines ? For whatever it's worth it has an AMD 64 processor.. Any one have a LOGICAL / SOUND / PROFESSIONAL reason why I should / shouldn't do this or that ? P.S. I am computer literate enough to know "crash" shut-downs are death to a computer ..

I've recently heard a song that's being used in a commercial here in the states.. Problem: Can't remember what the commercial dealt with, except for the fact that it starts off with a dandelion seed puff blowing over green country-side and slowly coming apart while a female soloist sings, " What you doing with the rest of your life, etc., etc., etc? " Believe this is the song title, but don't know the artist.. Sappy, I know, but it's nearly Valentines day and the song is beautiful and fits my situation perfectly..
