According to California & U.S. laws, how long is too long to be ignored by a boss? My cousin was a no-show for a day and angered her boss. Now her boss isn't calling her with any new work hours or assignments. I don't think my cousin did the right thing, but now I'm also curious. If the boss continues to not repond to calls, how long before my cousin should do something? What should she do once her work has been uncommunicative for that long?

I've noticed that a lot of my store bought liquid soap dispensers (the pump kind) drip out soap automatically, usually after it's reached the half-full (or half-empty) point. I end up with a lot of drying soap on the bottle & the counter. It's a messy waste! Why does it happen & how can I stop it?

My bf accidentally put in a whole bottle of power-steering fluid where the transmition fluid goes (it was too early this morning & he was not alert). Now our Jeep, which was having transmition problems, is working great - but I'm concerned. Are the two fluids different enough that there may be trouble soon?

One of my cats suddenly began to urinate on anything left on the drier - so I stopped leaving things there. But today she urinated on the drier's lint collector cover (on top of our drier) and the smell is all in the drier!

My sister is coming to visit the U.S. (San Francisco) from Germany. We were wondering if things are, in general, more affordable in the U.S. since the Euro is higher than the dollar. I know how expensive things are in the UK, so is that how it is in western Europe?

I had 2 longtime best friends, my boyfriend & "Ian", until 2 yrs ago. Ian began living w/his new bf & we all started to get along & they invited us to a party. When my bf&I got there Ian & his bf were drunk. My bf saw Ian's bf wandering from the apt. & went to bring him back. Ian's bf started telling my bf, a reserved person, how hot he was & trying to pry into his pants. My bf returned shocked & wanted to go home. Ian knew something was wrong & apologized when his bf continued ranting about my bf. I wanted to help Ian, but I had to leave for my bf. After, I was afraid to call them. My bf was very upset. I sent Ian many emails begging to know if he was ok, but saying we couldn't be friends with his bf anymore. Ian never responded. He had said he really needed my friendship so I was puzzled & am still *really* sad about this. I have many friends, but Ian was my best friend ever. A friend told me to just show up at his apt. but I think that will look pathetic. What do you think happened?

I'm looking for info & photos that explain the pros & cons of tattooing different body parts - like which parts will stretch most, which will fade faster, etc. Also a book/website that has photos of how tattoos look as a person ages.

I just heard that that's what's used to remove sweat stains for Madonna during her tour. How do you do this? How well does it work? Can it work on stains that have gone through the dryer?
