  • Inflammation of gums around a front tooth crown, but no pain?

I had a porcelain crown fitted on a chipped tooth (the tooth was then drilled and contoured for a permanent crown to go on approximately 18 months ago.

For a while now, there has been a noticeable difference in colour between my gums and the area directly around the crown - resembling inflammation. However, it causes me no pain whatsoever even when I push on the redness, which has prompted me to ask this community.

I avoid using the crown altogether when eating food - wherever possible i use my back teeth to chew and use a knife and fork on pizza, burgers etc. So i don't have to bite down, saving myself a trip to the dentist. My teeth are generally healthy, and i brush and use mouthwash mostly 2 times a day, but i don't floss. The crown itself is clean and there is rarely any food even grazing the surface of it due to my habits.

If anyone could shed some light on a seemingly perplexing situation, that would be lovely.

  • Does a Cat5e splitter decrease the speed of the internet?

Currently, I have an ethernet cable running through from my router outside in a detached office through to the inside of my house and into my room on the second floor. With this, I plug the other end into my PS3, where I get 100% signal strength and the speed and quality is very good. Now here's the complicated part.

My laptop's wireless utilities are very limited, and I am unable to use it in my room. I have various ethernet cables littered about my house, and thought about using a Cat5e splitter to split the connection so I can use the PS3 for online gaming and also using the laptop to use the internet also, at the same time. I know that multiple users connected to the same router decreases the speed at which each user gains access to the internet, however will the splitter itself decrease it any more? Here is a link to the splitter which I am planning on purchasing. Thank you.

  • Does anybody know any stations that play hard rock/metal music?

I'm not talking about indie music here. I'm talking about bands such as Avenged Sevenfold, SlipKnoT and Slayer. The only thing that comes close is Radio One's Rock Show, but that's only on once a week for two hours!

So, does anyone know any radio stations that can be accessed in the United Kingdom that play hard rock/metal music?

The frequency of the station would be a big help too :)

    Thanks!

  • Will Inter Milan keep their football shirts for next season? (08/09)?

My guess is that they won't because this year is their centenary year. But i'm thinking about buying either the home or away shirt, but if they're bringing out a new kit for next season then there's not much point forking out 50 odd quid for a footy shirt in the middle of March.

This may seem like a stupid question, it probably is considering it has "centenary" in a couple of places on the shirt itself, but i'm just making sure.

Can anyone who can tell me more information about this please do so?

    Thanks.

  • Why Should Gordon Brown Be Allowed To Step Into The PM Spot?

What I Mean By This Is, That We Voted For Tony Blair Back In The Elections, We Didn't Vote Gordon Brown, Or Any Other Labour MP. In My Opinion, I Think That We Should Have Another General Election That Involves Britain, And Not Just The Labour Party. Gordon Brown Hasn't Proved That He Can Be A Good Prime Minister. Another Thing, I Think It Is Disgusting Of The Treatment By The Public Towards Tony Blair (i.e Blaming Him For The Deaths In Iraq And Making Him Name A Resignition Date)
