He wouldn't have been my pastor!?
"He wouldn't have been my pastor."
These were the words stated by Goldwater Girl, Bush 43 dinner guest, and long-since overstayed Presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton, wife to Bill Clinton, and rival to predestined nominee Barack Obama, in the wake of the the latter's Reverend Wright scandal, nearly a week later.
Just today, from a friend, I have heard that Hillary Clinton's former pastor has gotten three years in prison for sexual abuse, where the victim was a child of seven years old. I mean just today in the fact that unlike Wright-gate, this story has lain dormant for an indeterminate amount of time. One post from which I tried to inform myself said February 28, another March.
That being said, why hasn't the DC media covered this. Why hasn't this flown through the left and right blogospheres, even as Wright still causes problems, in accordance to tabloid-show host Dan Abrams. And, that being said, isn't it Hillary's turn to reject and denounce?

17 AnswersElections1 decade agoThe Pennsylvania Problem?
Throuought the Republican nomination, the candidates, who in the exception of McCain and Keyes were pretty much all new faces, were weeded out by their qualifications. Fred Dalton Thompson was nothing more than an actor. Guliani did nothing but whore 9/11. And when it came down to it, the Republicans chose experience and know-how over a guy who's big equalizers were one-liners, Chuck Norris and getting rid of the IRS.
This is not what is happening now, on the road to Pennsylvania. Instead of debating the facts (which wouldn't be too hard, seeing as Hillary has sooo much experience), this has become about statements made at a church by a radical preacher on a day where we're not even sure Obama was there. And when you add it all up, in the worst case scenario that Clinton does win in PA, apart from name recog and Rush Limbaugh, wouldn't she be winning because of Jeremiah Wright and NOT the policies?
10 AnswersElections1 decade agoI need HALP!?
I need to find an instrumental to a song called "One on One" by NaS. I heard a song a couple days ago, and I could have sworn it was a sped up version of this. If you need to know what the song sounds like (and have an idea of the instrumental", you can find it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqnGwcVdkOY
4 AnswersRap and Hip-Hop1 decade agoThe Next Nature Boy?
I don't know if this question has been asked before, but who will be the next Nature Boy after Ric Flair? Before Ric, Buddy Rogers was the Nature Boy, and Flair won that title by beating him. If so, wouldn't it make sense for the person to retire Ric Flair to become the Nature Boy, to be "the Man" because they beat "the Man"? And if this is so, then who will it be? Will it be a veteran like Shawn Michaels, or a golden prospect like John Morrison?
Your thoughts please:
7 AnswersWrestling1 decade agoA New Generation?
There's a new era looming over World Rwrestling Entertainment. First we had the Golden Era, then the Attitude Era, and now, we come across (drum roll)....... the Ohio Valley Era. Now, I know I'm gonna get hated on, but I think that we could very well, by end of '09 at least, be at a point where legends like HBK and Ron Simmons can take a sit back and just let the youngins' run the show (not literally, of course).
The WWE has definitely had a hand in acquiring and/or training the best that there is. With technicians like CM Punk and Shelton Benjamin, you can have a wrestling clinic without any former WCW stars. And John Morrison and Randy Orton are baby steps in the long path to being the next HBK and People's Champ respectively. And with indy queens like Beth Phoenix, Melina, and soon Nattie Neidhart, it won't be long before the WWE's women's division is back.
So, what are your two cents?
5 AnswersWrestling1 decade agoSvR Movesets?
Up early, I was scrolling through some titantrons (Lashley's new one by Mercy Fall is awesome), and I just happened to come across Gail Kim's. Thinking of Gail Kim (who's still in my top five favorite divas), I realized how much I hate their not having the Christo in other games.
Then I got to thinking, there are a lot of good moves missing from SvR. For example, they have the Burning Hammer, but it's only a cornerpost move. And I think Day of Reckoning 2 was the last game to have Hayabusa's match ender, the Falcon Arrow. I was personally pissed that they had conveniently not included the Rios Driver.
What moves, on this Thanksgiving day, would you give thanks for being in a game, if they were available?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
PS: Actually SvR 08 is pretty good. I wouldn't call it another WWF No Mercy, but it definitely rates well IMHO.

Finally... the Bad Guy... has come BACK... to Yahoo!Answers...

3) Who else doesn't care if Jericho comes back at this point?
4) Why did WrestlingRevealed take so damn long to update (over a week!)?

6) Who else is hoping JBL comes back to the roster?
7) Why did Candice have a better title run than Randy Orton is currently having?
8) What happened to Gail Kim wrestling in the X-Division?

6 AnswersWrestling1 decade agoTough Enough or Diva Search?
For now four years, we have bore witness to what may be the biggest waste of revenue since signing Bill Goldberg: the WWE Diva Search. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love some of these new Divas (especially Layla El), but it's really a disasterpiece.
My big deal is who we lose to get them, and the opportunity cost. If I remember correctly, we lost Gail Kim, Chuck Palumbo, Billy Gunn, Sean O'Haire, and a whole slew of wrestlers just to invite these ring babes, only to lose them to TNA (C. Hemme), drop them due to cutbacks (K. Marshall), or pay them to just stand there and look pretty (M. Kanellis).
Tough Enough was a different story. The people that signed for Tough Enough were ready to wrestle. Tough Enough gave us Maven (greatest dropkick in the business), Matt Cappotelli, Linda Miles, and, if you didn't know, Nitro and Melina. Yes, Melina Perez and Johnny Morrison are Tough Enough kids!
WQ: Who here would rather have a Tough Enough than a Diva Search?

4 AnswersWrestling1 decade agoWorst Title Reign?
Everyone who has been watching WWE knows that Randy Orton is the current WWE Champ. But what would seem like a time for pride, however, has proven to be just a big joke.
When the Legend Killer was first awarded the title by Vince McMahon, he was unfortunate to have HHH come out and challenge him. But instead of making it the main event, Randy winning and losing the title in a matter of minutes would be the first card on the night.
Despite winning it back, however, he only won it back after the 40-plus year old veteran had a run-in with Umaga (with visible injury), and after just barely surviving.
Now, in the manner of heels, such as Austin (Alliance angle), Khali, and Edge, Orton hosted a "Champion Appreciation Night". But instead of doing the sensible, which is having HHH want vengeance, they have Shawn come fresh off of injury and take him out, then repeat it the next week.

It's the Bad Guy here with another set of Wrestling Questions:

-Do you really think that Jeff Jarrett would have been famous without Owen Hart (RIP)?
-Can you name any non-Japanese, non-ROH wrestler that DIDN'T have five signature moves or less?
-Besides SHIMMER, has there ever been a really successful women's wrestling organization?
-Starting with ONS '07, is One Night Stand still ECW, or is it the new Fully Loaded?
-Why didn't Jeff keep his TNA theme? He made it!
-Is TAKA's Kaientai Dojo the greatest theme ever?
-Why would any self-respecting wrestler call themself "Amish Roadkill"?
-If Kane and Matt Striker are teachers, should they push for a wrestling scholarship?
-How can you call a SSP "dangerous", but allow Hardcore Holly to stiff anyone that looks at him funny?

-Did anyone else think Aaron "Idol" Stevens was Hassan during his debut?
6 AnswersWrestling1 decade ago10 Questions?
One of the segments of Vibe magazine, one of my personal favorite magazines, is called 20Q (previously 21 Questions). Now, I know you didn't come to Y!A for 21Q, so I'll start small:
1. Why does every former-WWE star on TNA have to mention WWE upon their debut?
2. Speaking of former-WWE stars, doesn't Matt Morgan's profile pic look kinda like the Big Boss Man?
3. Why ISN'T Val Venis a good choice for champion?
4. If MMA is so tough, why did Lesnar go there once he decided wrestling was "too dangerous"?
5. If Abyss is a fake Kane, and VKM is a fake DX, then why doesn't anyone call out Cade and Murdoch for being a fake AMW?
6. Will Maria ever be more than "ditzy RAW interviewer"?
7. Was anyone REALLY surprised when ECW turned out to be a joke?
8. Isn't it funny how people diss TNA for being full of old guys, when Batista is as old as HHH?
9. Even if you hate Cena, could you really be happy about him being injured?
10. Why doesn't Brian Kendrick have any single's title reigns?
9 AnswersWrestling1 decade agoIs anyone else glad that TNA's goin' two hours strong?
Now all we need to do is get Smackdown back on Thursdays, then I can finally see what's lower than a 0.9 rating! J/K
But seriously, I recently saw a TNA question answered with "Vince isn't gonna improve the show until TNA is a worthy rival". Well, instead of being reactive, why don't they [WWE] be proactive, lighten the ban on moves, get better storylines, pull out the Hart Foundation 2.0, and bury TNA like a ECW Original on Heat?
8 AnswersWrestling1 decade agoSonjay Dutt to WWE?
According to WrestlingRevealed.com, Sonjay Dutt is "currently unhappy" with TNA and "may leave soon". If he leaves, there's a chance that he might be signed with the WWE (like TNA alumni Monty Brown and Cassidy Riley).
What would you say about a jump to WWE? Being from East Indian origin, if put on SD, he could make an excellent addition to the Cruiserweight division. Alternatively, he could also make a tag-team with Khali, not unlike Kane and X-Pac, and be managed by Ranjan Singh.
On the other hand, if traded to RAW, he would make an excellent tag-team partner for Daivari, who is currently in a rut in his career. Reminded of a duet Daivari did with Jillian Hall on the 9/3 airing of RAW, and Sonjay being billed from Bollywood, the trio would make both an entertaining and interesting tag team on RAW. He and Daivari would also make excellent tag champions.
The question: What are your thoughts or suggestions should the 630 senton join the WWE roster?
17 AnswersWrestling1 decade agoHow's this for a match?
Basically you have upwards of four people in the match (5-10). The match involves a cell (HIAC) surrounding a steel cage. The match starts off with two people in the match, and the other superstars come out one by one with timed intervals. What differs this from WarGames or the Elimination Chamber is that the superstar must enter the Cell and scale the steel cage to enter. If they leave the cell, they are automatically disqualified. There are only two ways to win this, submission and knockout.
Basically, the match is a combination of WarGames and a reverse Steel Cage match. I like the Elimination Chamber, but this is a good alternative to someone that can't afford a chamber.
6 AnswersWrestling1 decade agoHow to save ECW!?
By now, it's public knowledge that ECW is dead as Elvis, but there's a way we can save it. As I said in an answer, cutting out Vixens, suspension, and BDV going to Smackdown, there's a relatively small active roster (less than 10!). But some new superstars would help to save them.
Idol Stevens- During his OVW tenure, he had a playboy gimmick with Beth Pheonix and Shelly Martinez (released, unfortunately). Put him with Krissy Vaine and another diva, and he could have a pretty good feud with Miz.
Jerry Lynn- Lynn recently left TNA. WWECW really needs Originals, so signing Jerry Lynn could be the best thing they could do. The only problem is whether or not he can do the piledriver...
Joey Mercury- Something a lot of people don't know about Joey is that he's a former ECW alumni. Put him in ECW and have him feud with Morrison for getting pushed while he was fired, or give him a new, hardcore gimmick, and he could go places.
Johnny Parisi- While a jobber, Parisi is another ECW Original-
6 AnswersWrestling1 decade agoNew Corporation?
I recently read something on WrestlingRevealed.com that said something about Kennedy's return and the Kennedy/McMahon angle. One of the possibilities that came to mind was giving him his own stable, which would be a remake of The Corporation. Here's my Corporation idea:
Carlito and Umaga are already in. As the article states, those two have held the hired gun position for Mr McMahon for a while during his feud with HHH.
Another possibility, my own, would be Shelton Benjamin. Shelton has little mic skills, but he is a phenomenal wrestler. Something like The Corporation would push him well without him having to get behind the mic a lot.
Mike Knox is currently underutilized in ECW. He's a big guy, but at the same time, he's pretty good in the ring. Reshape him as an enforcer with a Boss Man gimmick, and he'll work.
Personally, I think that Morrison and Melina would make great replacements of HHH and Chyna, respectively. Sure, they're not as powerful, but they generate great heat.
