Got this message while doing checking hard drive on a dell inspiron 1545 laptop with windows 7 (pre boot system assessment was complete. no diagnostic utility partition identified. please select OK to reboot your system). All the testing up to this point passed. After doing a reinstall of windows 7 when shutting down laptop makes a pop or clicking noise, did this once before when doing a factory reinstall, laptop was still under warranty and called tech support they helped me to fix the issue. Now I have the issue again no problems with this noise until after the reinstall of windows 7. I use the disk for the windows 7 operationing system. I did research online and found out (it might be likely the Utility partition that holds the diagnostics is missing or deleted). Now what do I do. Should I do another restore but instead of using disk do it from the laptop using the F8 option and when done put the drivers and utilities disk in to get the partition back.

After doing a windows 7 reinstall to inspiron laptop 1545 shutting down makes a clicking sound. Last time laptop had this done did same thing call dell support and the tech told me what to do to fix the problem, warranty has expired along with extended warranty can some one help with this. I know it is a quick fix I just don't remember what he told me to do.

I am restoring my dell inspiron 1545 laptop back to factory setting needed to know after it is done do I put the driver's and utilities disk or the operating system disk in first. Fortunately with this laptop I did get the reinstallation dvd for the operating system and the drivers and utilities disk with it. I just don't know which one to put in first after restore. Any other tips appreciated. If I follow the prompts on the disk I should be okay I hope.

I have upgraded internet speed from basic to standard was getting 1.0 and .98 for upload and download speed. Now I get 22.56 download and upload speed is .97. With the upgrade of internet speed upload should at least go up to 1.2.

I was watching a you-tube video check on link under video. Laptop shut down. When trying to turn it back on it did not respond at first. It turn back on screen stayed black. Finally went to the Dell logo and remained black for a few minutes small screen popped up in top left corner of laptop stating something about google chrome loading. Finally went to desktop screen was black but bottom task bar was showing. Finally desktop loaded and was able to use. I thought at first laptop crashed and I was really worried. Please if any one can tell me what happened and what to do to avoid it happening again. Did a virus scan immediately showed no virus.

Windows update was completed needed to restart computer to finish the up date. On my desktop after computer restarted was a pop up parteo logic states it is a microsoft partner and it wants to know if I want to update it, also on desktop is a icon for Reg Cure Pro. What is this don't know if I should the the update the pareto logic, never had this pop up before or the regcure pro. Please help don't know what to do.
