A new law will go into effect February 10th that will require any products used for children 12 and under be tested to make sure there is no lead. The idea is a great one, however, as usual, the law forgets about the little guy. The testing of these products will cost about $50 an item, which means that children's consignment shops as well as Good will/Salvation army, etc will have to throw out all of their children's clothes, toys and products unless they have the new label. Anything these merchants already have will be called "hazardous" and if they are sold and get caught, the merchant can be fined and possibly jailed.

Please read this petition and sign if you believe an amendment should be made to this law.

This year since turning on my heater, I notice that the wall and the floor directly above the furnace are hot. i.e. the furnace is in the basement and the floor and wall on the first floor seem exceptionally hot. Any ideas? Anyone think I should be worried?

I am trying to figure out exactly how big a GB is in terms of how many songs will 1 GB hold? The definition doesn't help me because1,000,000,000 bytes means nothing when I don't know how many of those bytes it takes to play a song. So for all the not-electronics impaired people, please help!!!

I want to buy an MP3 player/Ipod for my 9 year olds. The ones they have now only hold like 20 songs. I want something that will hold at the very least 100. How much space do I need on it?

OK my ex and I have twins together but are broken up. Have been for all of their 8 years.

We are on friendly terms (he was my best friend for about 5 years before the kids) But he is a pain in the neck! Constantly picking and messing with me, but in a fun way. I find myself constantly calling him an a ss h ole. The other day I told him that word wasn't enough to describe him and I needed something better.

SO who has something better???

My sister just had a c-section on 1/10/07. She has had nothing but problems since then and I can't seem to find any useful information for her. If anyone knows anything that might help clear the air, we would definitely appreciate it.

Heres the story. c-section after over 24 hours induction (pitocin, break the water, etc). Baby is fine and perfect now, but my sister is totally swollen from her belly down. She keeps running a low fever. They don't know why. Had x-rays done to find out why she was so swollen in her belly. "Everything looks fine." She also had to have a blood transfusion once now and there is talk of another one.

She is so confused and so annoyed because they keep telling her go to the bathroom, but she isn't allowed food. Walk around to help recover, but stay off your feet because you are swollen. You can go home tomorrow, and then...we will be putting in a catheter tonight (so obviously the home thing is out).

Anyone have any insight to this at all????

We don't have much money this year to do anything super good, so I thought this was the next best thing.... embarassing him in front of a bunch of other cops! Give me something good. He likes pulling practical jokes so I think he will get a kick out of it. One year I sent him a balloon boquet, that was fun. I want to top it.
