In this age of no smoking in public places, would you support someone who started a smokers only bar, lounge or restaurant? The non-smokers would not be discrimated against but rather, they would be advised that smoking is accepted and allowed and thus entering the premises would be at their own risk.

Besides drinking milk and/or taking tums, what is a good and cheap remedy for heartburn?

Mine is getting the tip of my umbrella against my front tooth and chipping a piece off. Then going to the dentist for emergency repair and zigging when I should have zagged whereby the needle with numb stuffs went into my lower lip...Just reading this is making me giggle again! LOL

Is there a way to place a home video on yahoo 360 without having to share the contents on google video or youtube with the entire world? My blogs on yahoo 360 is set to friends and family and therefore the video must be hosted by google or you tube befoer it can be placed there.

This is regarding the cards "announcing" that a loved one has passed away. My father and his sister have not had relations the past 4 years due to misunderstanding with her boyfriend. My auntie passed away (rest in peace) and my father along with us, his children, did not get a formal card nor did they make a posting in the newspaper. We, on the other hand, send bereavement cards to the boyfriend and to my aunties children (from previous marriages) on the same day as her passing. Should my father, or at the very least his children, have received a notice?

Clearly they did not want any of us at the funeral, and we respected their wishes in their time of sorrow

ps. This question is not asking for pity, or an all about me question, but one out of curiousity about etiquette in such matters.

I adore her honesty. I may not agree with everything she says or stands for, but I admire her courage en tenacity! I do not get "The View" here, but heard that she helped raise the ratings and therefore I feel sad for "The View" fanatics that she is leaving. She did make comment on her blog video that she was taking Janette and Helene with her, so she must have something up her sleeve..hint hint! Who else other than myself thinks that Rosie is FANTASTIC ?

I am an ex-smoker (having quit some 13 years ago)...hoorah for me...however, this does not mean I force my non-smokingness (funny word huh?) upon other people.

My dream is one day to open a restauarant/bar/pub of my own. Since smoking is no longer allowed in public places, I would like to start a SMOKING only place. I feel that since we have to honor the rights of non-smokers, I should be allowed to honor the rights of smokers also. Lets give smokers a place where they can sit and relax with a cigarette without being hassled, talked down to or fear of retribution. Lets let them keep their dignity and their rights. I would only hire people that did not care if patrons smoke or not and I would install a good ventilation system.

Of course this does NOT mean that non-smokers could not enter the premises, but they do so at their own health risk.

What do you think, smokers unite?

Whenever we go to McDonalds (almost never...lol), I always order the hamburger happy meal and 1 extra burger. I find that they use WAAAYYY too much sauce on their Big Macs. Do you agree? Disagree?

I bought cheap candles (I know...kicking myself in the *** for beaing a cheapskate) and when we burn them they drip overly much. Anyone got a tricto slow this process down so that we can still enjoy them?

ps. lesson learned, next time I will buy no drip candles...lol
