  • How do you train your dog that walked on a leash to use the backyard for poo and pee?

Our little dog was well trained to use the bathroom on a morning and evening walk when we lived in a condo - but now that we have a yard he has accidents in the house. He uses the yard just not every time he gets the chance - like before work I let him out and he wont go. Then when I'm gone to work he will poo in the house not knowing that he should have gone in the morning or wait untill I get in at 630pm. Any suggestions on how to transition him to a yard dog from a leash walking dog??

  • I'm afraid my bleeding heart wife is going to bleed us dry?

My wife has several family members who are very lazy and have no ambition. They are on welfare and use everyone around them. I have stood tough to try to protect us from them using us - but little by little my wife gives in to their sob stories. She gives any amount of money they want in cash with no explantion. She buys endless gifts that they demand. Usually they guilt trip her that she doesnt love them if she doesnt do it. I have tried to explain that she is not doing them any favors - that she is enabling them. We also talked about how giving all that we earn away will cause us to never get ahead in life. Through all this - I am starting to look like a bad guy because I dont buy into the guilt. I'm getting the vibe that I'm seen as insensative and heartless. What do you think? What should I do? I'm an honest hardworking guy - I'm finding it hard to be in a world of guilt and using, negative people.

  • Future Sister In Law Needs More Money For Wedding?

My Fiance asked her sister and neice to be in our wedding. She said yes on the condition that we help with costs since they are on welfare. We agreed - so we booked 4 days and 3 nights in a luxury condo for them in Vegas (where we are getting married - we're in LA) offered $200 for gas for the roundtrip drive (which is more than enough), bought all dresses, flowers, nails and hair do's, planned on helping them fill the condo's kitchen for food outside of the main dinners (a rehearsal dinner and reception dinner). At this point she said $200 is not enough for gas and they expect to get dinner out - they will not fill a kitchen to make extra dinners for their family. We were told by her that if we couldnt "afford them" then they will not attend and that their terms are 'non-negotiable'. I was very insulted and want to pull them out of the wedding. It has been a rough couple of days struggling with what to do... this is my future wife's sister. What do you think?

  • Towncar from Los Angeles to Las Vegas...?

I need to get my mother, sister and neice to Las Vegas from Los Angeles. I would like to have a car pick them up at each of their houses and drive them there on a Thursday then have the same service bring them back on a Sunday. Any ideas what I can do? They do not want to fly and prefer to drive.

  • Fearful after back injury... how do I get over it?

I had a severe back injury. After surgery and a long difficult recovery, I am now doing well. I still have pain in my legs and back - but it is manageble. My problem is that I am fearful of re-injury. I would like to lose some weight - which would help my back pain - but I am too afraid to exercise. I also get worried about other aspects of my life. I dont want to do anything that will lead me into that situation again. So I have a lot of anxiety about things that may harm me. Has anyone been through this? Does anyone have advice?

  • My wife wants to sleep with her best friend?

My wife wants to sleep with her girlfriend. I didn't like the idea at all. She says they are going to watch movies and get drunk then sleep in her king size bed. She says there will be no 'hanky panky' its just a sleep over. I say no way! What do you think?

  • Sister in-law on welfare wants money for daughters birthday?

My sister in-law is asking the family to give money for her 4 year old daughters birthday so she can take her to Disneyland. I don't want to contribute. I am happy to give a nice gift like a summer dress or new shoes - but I really feel that giving them money is wrong. They are on welfare and I believe she will pocket the money and not do the trip. I am not heartless - but these people are very very lazy and her and her husband do not have jobs. What do you think?

  • Losing weight...?

I had a back surgery about two years ago. Before the surgery I couldnt walk except with a caine. I put on about 60lbs. Then I had back surgery and lost a bout 30 lbs. Since then I have been scared to really go back to the gym. Im terrified I might re-injure my back again. Ive just started working again in the past year at a place where I stand all day. Sometimes my back and feet hurt so much I can barely move the next day but i keep on going. I want to get healthy and look the way i used to before i hurt myself and had surgery. On top of that I recently have gotten engaged. We have a year till the date and now Im frantically trying to find a way to get motivated. Im so tired from work I never have the energy. And like I said i am worried about reinjuring my back. If anyone has great advice please help!

  • Is a 1099-MISC form for Bonuses?

I called my last jobs accountant today and was told I got a 1099-MISC form for $550 which represents bonuses. I never recieved bonuses for this amount. I did do teaching in the jewelry store and made and sold pieces to the store - but was always paid from the owner on business checks. I assumed I was paid as an employee but now they are implying I was an independent contractor - which isnt true. I did all the work in the store and never invoiced for anything. What do you think is happening here and what should I do?

  • Using my Capital One card to help someone elses poor credit?

I have great credit - I was told by Capital One that I could get a second card for my girlfriend and it would help her poor credit. It would still be my account but she would have her own card with her name on it. They said it was a 'program' I'm eligible for. Has anyone ever heard of this 'benefit' and does it work?

  • Why doesn't exercise comfort people?

Some of my friends are lazy and enjoy eating. Yahoo answers says that this is a way to comfort yourself from the stress of life. I just wonder why being active and exercising cant be seen as 'comforting.' Does exercising now have a stigma of people that are unhappy with themselves and want to change their body. I love exercise and some of my favorite hikes bring me great peace and comfort... am I the only one that feels this way?

  • Is Myspace a substitute for reallife friends and relationships?

I know someone who is on Myspace all the time. He updates his page constantly and sends lots of messages to people. I wonder is this healthy? He says Myspace friends are very real and he feels close to all of them. Im worried that he is getting no real human interaction - he sits at the computer for 6 hours a night. Is there something I'm missing?

  • Is it weird that Mel Gibson plays national heroes of other countries?

Why should Mel Gibson depict an American war hero in The Patriot and a Scottish rebel in Braveheart? He always does this... Isn't there any great Australian stories for him to tell? Or has he forsaken his country?

I noticed that horses and bears can walk around and poop with no real effort. Do you think that we humans should do that? Is there a benefit to our intestines to let it fall out at anytime?
