  • very old dog losing teeth?

I know it is normal for older dogs. I do brush her teeth. I have only had her since february. Never had a dental cleaning. 12 yrs old 13 in september. She had all of them last week and noticed 2 of them gone on the top front just minutes ago. I do check them reuarly and not really much tarter just very bad breath.

does this mean they will start going fast. does this mean she is not going to be with us much longer. She gets around very normal and I was planning a dental cleaning in a month or so. I started brushing them when i got her and spraying with the mouth spray. any advice would be helpful or anyone has gone through this

    thank u in advance

  • what do you think about pets ending up in a custody battle after hurricane Katrina?

a lot of these animals were already at the animal shelter when the storm hit.

even if the animal had a microchip a lot of vet's will have a different reader and can't detect the information(yes they have different brands and it only reads there brand). I have read about this happening.

Even if they did read the microchip and get the info, their houses were blew away, and it may take several several weeks to locate them or the family to actually find the right shelter that has their pet.

'm not talking about the ones who abandoned their animals outside during the storm either.

one family put there dog in the shelter right before the storm. they were not able to get back untill 5 weeks later and found there dog had been adopted.

  • what do you think about pets ending up in a custody battle after hurricane Katrina?

Keep in mind that a lot of the pets were brought to shelters and the owners weren't able to return asap, and they were already put up for adoption.

some of these animals were at home, with their owners, when the houses were blown away and were found later, and owners are having to fight new owners.

i've been seeing a few cases on the news about this and I was wandering your thought.

I think the animals should be returned to the former owner

  • Has anyone ever seen a cat assist another cat giving birth to kittens?

It was like she was being a midwife or something. When I say assist I mean everything just not giving birth. She just had kittens herself but I don't know what happen to them. I don't think her milk dropped and I couldn't find her kittens(they were alive just couldn't get to them). I just thought it was kind of neat.
