  • Layed off, what are my rights?

I live in Ohio, and my company is laying people off. A few people were not allowed back to their desks to pack up their stuff, and had to rely on other people to get their stuff. Is this legal, can they bar you from getting your stuff?

  • Should I get Female Roommate???

I am a 30 year old single guy, who is living in a two bedroom apartment by myself. I found myself in a little bit of a finnacial difficulty and have decided to rent out my spare bedroom to a roommate to save cash. well I posted an add on craigslist and have shown the place to a few guys that ranged from finacial risk, to just plain scary. (Nobody good enough) Well today I got a call from a 25 year old girl who actually has a good job(I would settle for a job at this point). Her issue is her dog is making it difficult to find someone to accept her. Which is not a problem for me. My issue is I have never thought about taking on a female roommate before, and am trying to figure out how I feel about this. Has anyone has had an opposite sex roommate out there, and what issues where there? And how did you get around them. keep in mind that I have been living alone for five years now, and even a male roommate will be a big adjustment. We will be sharing a bathroom.

    Thanks,

  • Which vehicle to choose?

I am fed up(or more giving up) I have always driven pickup and suv's. However gas prices are killing me!!! I am starting to try to think out of the box, for other options however I need some help. I have one real problem, I am big. Now when I say big I don't mean I am a little over weight. I am 6' 5" tall 300 Lbs, and therefore just don't fit well in most cars. That is always why I have drive bigger vehicles. What I need is something fuel efficient, resonably priced, and has the ability to not have me feel as though I am in a sardine can. I am proportioned so I need both head and leg room. Any help would be greatly apprieciated. Thanks

  • Wii Game suggestions?

I have a new wii, but am getting tired of the Wii play game that came with it. I typically like games that are first person shooter or racing/flying games. Some titles from other systems that I like are The whole GTA series, F-Zero (Super nintendo), MechWarior(Computer), mircosoft flight simulator. Any Suggestions? Thanks,

  • Used Motorcycles?????

I just completed a motorcycle safety class in ohio and got my motorcycle endorsement on my licence. I am looking to purchace a motorcycle to continue to learn on. I am looking for some educated sudgestions at to what brands and models to look for. I think I would prefer used as my plan is to upgrade to something new when my truck is paid off in two years. Ideally a bike in the range of $2500 if possible would be good. Although I could go as high as $3500-$4000, based on input recieved here. I should also mention I am a big guy, 6'4 300lbs. I don't want to feel like I am riding a toy. (picturing circus and clowns on small bikes) Also are there any styles of bike that are better for larger people. I really am open to any style. I am just looking to be comfortable.

  • steel fire door repair?

I had the police over recently to serve a search warrent on two of my tennants. They busted in two fire rated steel commercial type doors. Now that those tennants are gone the destruction remains. I got a quote on replacements, and talk about sticker shock $1000.00 per door and lock set. Needless to say I strated trying to repair instead, which I actually did a pretty good job on the door. (using autobody filler on the steel, alot of c-clamps, and some enginuity) My problem now is the lock set which apparently is about half the $1000 cost each. they are those ruswin corbin mortise type locks. (you know the little rectangular package that slides into the door end. Has anybody ever tried to fix these when they get bent. If I can fix it all I need to do is replace the knob. and yes under code these need to be fire doors and replacing them with cheaper home depot fire doors without replacing the other 8 would look like crap.

  • 8 wheeled atv as seen in trucks! TV show?

A few weeks ago I was casually watching TV, when a show called trucks! came on. They rebuilt an eight wheel drive amphibious vehicle similar in construction to an argo. But instead of differential steering it had a pivot in the center similar to how big grading machines are steered. I think that this may have been an old episode, because I can't find anything about it on there web page. I would like to know what this was. Thanks
