I've just started watching the show House, which I got as a DVD set. I'm worried that there may be some scenes in later episodes that are too graphic for the weak of heart.

For a while I've been preferring the tastier alternatives instead of going for the healthy food. There is a conviction that healthy does not intersect with tasty.

A friend is trying to get me into the Fantasy Warhammer scene, and has explained the basic game mechanics (as well as one reference book) to me. It looks interesting, but seems to require a lot of time, money and effort to build a respectable competitive collection.

What's your take on Warhammer? Could someone explain what the appeal is?

I want to get into the series Dune, but I have no idea of the order in which I should pick up and read the books. Can anyone tell me where to start at and in what order the books need to be read?

I'm traveling with a friend, who uses an oxygen mask while sleeping, due to his difficulty in sleeping otherwise. Could this cause any harm to me? What should I do to ensure that it's safe?

I got an early copy of the PS3 game MAG, but can't seem to connect to the servers. I assume it's because they've not yet activated them. Does anyone have any information regarding that issue?

Everyday, I feel a little more betrayed and alienated by Nintendo. Ever since the Wii came out, it seems our beloved little game company has turned its back on its hardcore gamer audience, and instead opted to go for soccer moms and the "mainstream" casual audience. The "hardcore" games are few and far between, and let's be honest, all they're selling now is either nostalgia, baby stuff, "family" games (read: boring for active gamers) and little, if any, is of decent quality.

I've been a one-console person for a long while, and stuck with Nintendo ever since the SNES. The Wii was the final straw, and I got a 360 and a PS3 (and another 360 since my first RRoD'd, and the second 360 E74'd, so I gave up.)

Now, my love for the company has turned into loathing. Is there anyone else here who shares my sentiment?

MAG is coming out on the PS3 in less than a month. Will it hurt MW2, at least in terms of PS3 players switching over? Why or why not?

When I'm downloading something from iTunes, downloads often become too slow

When I'm playing an online game via my PS3, there's some lag sometimes.

What might be the cause of it, and how can I reduce or eliminate it?

Trying to keep up to date nowadays have become much harder than any previous time. Here's some of the things we need to keep an eye on if we want to keep up with the times:

News (on TV, online, newspapers if anyone reads those anymore, etc...)

Movies, TV series, sport events, political and global events, interviews, etc...

Internet (news, videos, memes, trends, podcasts, webcomics, communities, etc...)

Video games (online, offline, casual, hardcore, browser, PS3, Wii, etc...)

Printed material (fiction, nonfiction, comics, magazines, bestsellers, specific genre, etc...)

Not to mention tasks and materials you should go through for your studies or your job.

How do you pick what you follow, and what to ignore? If you choose to ignore one part, you may end up missing out on some good stuff. If you choose to follow them all, you'll end up realizing you don't have enough hours a day to pay attention to everything.

I made some choices as to what to keep following and what to pay less attention to. I want to know how the rest of you deal with this information overload.

Why do some people choose not to eat meat products? I'm a meat lover myself, and during my time online, I have been accused of murdering all sorts of tasty animals. Yet here I am, unable to resist a steak should one come my way.

I respect that it's a dietary choice. I'm not trying to convince anyone that they're wrong. Here's a question, though: If you're a vegetarian, and you ended up in a part of the world where people die of starvation, what would you do? If a goat is nearby, and you (or a starving child) would die of starvation soon unless they have something to eat, would you be willing to see the goat slaughtered to provide nourishment for those who need it? Why or why not?

I'm looking for something epic, which is rooted in reality but at the same time contains an element of magic (or extremely advanced technology) and steers clear of the subject of religion.
