I'm in a situation. An acquaintance walked up to me and said "If you divide your friends by ten, you'd have" and I couldn't understand the last part. Later I said to him "If I divide my friends by ten I'd still have zero" and laughed.

He replied "You're doing fine, just hold your own" In your opinions is this good, and I'm guessing "just hold your own" means keep on doing as I am?

A lady friend is preparing to divorce her husband

I ran back into my old high school sweetheart after 30 years. I am divorced and she in a bad marriage with a guy who has cheated on her twice in 20 years, and he is truly in love with Crown Royal whiskey (read "drunk"). She has told me for over a year that she is going to divorce him, but always seems to have "more things to do" to accomplish this.

What would you do in this situation? Would you stick around to see if this resolves, or would you give up and walk?

Could someone explain this to me before I sign this? Does the board of directors pool royalties, like a restaurant pools tips? It's got me confused on that point.

My buddy has a song that he did in 1979. Thirty years later he took it off the reel-to-reel and transferred it to CD to preserve it. He put it on Youtube, and asked some musicians to check it out. Hits went from 32 to over 800 between two sites in the past 2 weeks. It's rough and definitely needs redone by a good band. That said, here's my question: he's been thinking about running an online contest for cover bands to do a remake of the song. What would be considered a good prize compensation these days by musicians for the winner?

The amp draw is 6.25 amps at a 1 1/4 inch pull. The holding wattage is 24 watts. Am I correct that for this pull, to calculate AVERAGE power I need to do the following:

220(volts) times 6.25(amps) to get starting watts

Starting watts + 24 watts(holding) divided by 2 to get an average start-of-stroke to holding position average power?

(1375 + 24)/2=average power on a stroke?

there are two four pound weights on each end of the plank, and a 25 pound flywheel on the rotating pivot's shaft. How fast will this system have to rotate to meet or exceed 1 horsepower?

and an axle in the center. How fast must this board rotate about the axle to experience enough g's to where the weights would seem like they weighed 12 lbs?
