Question about the trinity?
Not to offend anyone, I'm just trying to understand a little better your belief in the trinity. Do you believe that God and Christ are separate beings, working as one, or are they the same being with different roles?
16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs your religion the only way to get salvation?
Do you believe that other religions (even other Christian sects) are able to give salvation with what they teach?
21 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIf there are false prophets, how do you know real ones?
If you look at Matt 7:14-20, it explains how we can know a false prophet from a real one, but how do you discern a true one from a false one? If there is a real one out there, would you take the time to find out if they are real or not, or just assume that they are false? If you found a true prophet, what would you do? If someone passed this tests of a true prophet, would you believe them?
20 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat happens to our bodies once we are resurrected? ?
For those who believe in resurrection, what do you believe happens to our bodies once resurrection has occurred? Do we keep them? If not, then what is your belief about what happens after?
21 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhere did Christ's body go after His resurrection?
Do you believe that Christ still has His body? If not, where did it go? Do you think it's possible that He has a perfected, eternal body?
25 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat is the history of how the trinity came to be doctrine?
I know that people say it states the trinity clearly in the bible. That isn't what I want. I want the history of HOW the doctrine came to be doctrine.
Please be respectful to other beliefs.
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoLDS folks... Spiritually speaking, what is your favorite candy??
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoFor those against the LDS faith....?
Where do you get your info on what the LDS church believes? Is it all from the internet? Or from what a preacher/minister/pastor said? From books? I am just curious as to where you get information against the church.
24 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat is the Rapture?
I know there are many people who believe in this concept, but I'm not quite sure what they are referring to. Scriptures would be helpful too!! Thanks!
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhen Christ said "it is finished", what does "it" mean?
What is your personal opinion as to what "it" was? Please be respectful to others, and let me know what you think Christ meant by this statement. Thanks!!
41 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat do you think happened to David after his "big sin"?
Do you think that David is similar to Cain? That their sins were both sins of jealousy? And what happened to David after his sin? Was he forgiven? Was he not?
This will require some scripture study, so get out your bibles and go to work!! Hint: Look in Psalms!
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat is your definition of works?
What do you consider to be works? I know there are many who say that we are saved by faith, and that is all, that works don't play a part in salvation. But, no one ever says what they consider to be works.
Also, considering that many times in the scriptures it says that we should follow the commandments. Are following them works, or is that just something you do? I'm trying to narrow down what people's definition of works are so I can understand their position better.
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoJehovah's Witness- a question about celebration of holidays?
I'm trying to understand why it is you don't celebrate holidays. Where in the scriptures does it say this shouldn't be done? Don't you ever want to celebrate a birthday, or the day you were married? I can understand not wanting to buy into all the Christmas or Easter stuff. Can you still give gifts to each other on anniversaries or birthdays?
Please, anyone who answers, be respectful to what others believe.
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWho's with me??? Interesting scenario.?
I think that if Huckabee is elected, we should all leave and live in Mexico. We could work in California for the big bucks and then get great rates on real estate in Mexico. I think it sounds fitting. Take money out of the US and put it into an economy that really needs it.
16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoI was told about a billboard with this saying.. your thoughts?
It said "If you are pro-war, you can't be pro-life". What are you thoughts on this?
33 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWorks and faith?
What do you consider works? When we talk about faith with or without works being part of salvation. What do you consider works, and what do you consider just "part of the deal"?
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat are your personal beliefs about what happens after death?
Do you believe you will be with family? Do you believe you will know other people in whatever heaven you believe in? Do you think it will be sitting around on a cloud and playing a harp, or is it more then that?
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy would Christ say "All that the Father gives me will come to me" (John 6:37)?
If Christ and God are the same being, why would God have to give Christ anything? Wouldn't He already have it? I'm not meaning to be disrespectful, or rude. I really am curious about this. I have a hard time figuring out the Trinity doctrine. So I'm asking people to explain it to me.
