  • How much is the fee you have to pay to terminate an alarm system contract before due time?

I have a 3 year contract with an alarm company and I want to terminate the contract. When we hired them we specifically asked what would happen if we move out of state and they said that we could "take it with us" meaning it could be installed wherever we go. Well now that we moved to another state we called to have it re-installed in our new home and they require that we sign another 3 year contract when we have been with them for a year and a half already and the salesperson never said anything about this..Anyway, my main question is how much would the fee be to terminate with them?

  • What is the best beach for a night or two in Tampa?

We will be passing through Tampa and spend a night or two at a hotel on the beach and was wondering which is the best/cleanest beach/water. Nicer sand and clearest water I guess is what I am trying to say, just best beach to swim with kids. I think some are manglar water and some are gulf water. Some places I am looking into are Clearwater / Sarasota / Indian Rocks Beach / St. Petersburgh / St. Pete Beach...Any ideas please....

  • I have a very painful bunion which I think will probably have to end up getting surgery. Who do I see?

Should I see a Podiatrist, a bone specialist (ortho), or any other specialist? It has gotten to the point where wearing any shoe hurts my feet, one more than the other. But if I would need surgery, who would be the most indicated professional?

  • I used the bleach blonde color FERIA from L'oreal to add some higlights...?

  • Roasting a brined turkey and I think it came out too salty...?

I am preparing a turkey and put it in brine since yesterday but less than 24 hours. It is about done and I think it might have turned out a little too salty since I had not used this salt before. Is there any solution to this?

    Thanks!

  • What to do with a lot of unfrozen chicken breasts?

We were away for Spring break for 4 days and returned today to find that the garage freezer had unfrozen (storms maybe?) and I could tell it hadn't been so long to spoil because some of the meat still had some ice, but pretty much everything was unfrozen, chicken, steak, a whole turkey, etc...so really the only option was to cook all of this and then freeze or eat all week. I have A LOT of turkey breasts and don't know what to do with them, considering it is 11 pm and still have several other things that need to be cooked. I thought of just boiling them with some onion and celery and bit of salt and freeze that to use in several different recipes, but it is a lot! Any other ideas or suggestions???

  • Pros and cons for the following vehicles:GMC Yukon Denali 2007/Ford Expedition Limited 2007/Infiniti QX56 2007?

I need to buy a vehicle and don't know much about mechanics and wanted to know the pros and cons for these vehicles I am looking at. The Ford is much cheaper than the other 2 but has much more mileage than the others. Otherwise it looks like new. The Infiniti I don't know much about but have read good reviews and the Yukon makes me a little uneasy since I have read so many negative reviews about it being in the shop all the time. Please help...

    Thanks!

  • Is it possible to delete ONLY ONE OR A COUPLE of entries in the browsing history in Win. Vista/Google Chrome?

I need to know if my daughter is deleting some entries on her computer, because there is a certain time of the day when she is on her computer, and there is no browsing history for that specific time. I do not have parental controls on right now because it does limit the usage a lot and sometimes she needs to do homework or projects and research and cannot get on certain sites because of a specific word (that is not necessarily a bad one), and she needs me to unlock it with my password. This really started getting in the way for things that were not supposed to be blocked and I ended up taking the controls off. I think I trust her but once long ago found some things she shouldn't be seeing and would like to make sure.

    Thanks.

  • How to improve communication with 12 yr. old daughter?

I have a beautiful daughter who is 12. Things are not going that well and I will summarize the main reasons:

She is very closed up about herself and won't share anything with me (typical of the age you will probably tell me)

She seems angry at me most of the time and has in fact, told me I make her angry all the time. I assume that when she says I make her angry she refers to when I discipline her and she doesn't like that.

She pretty much ignores me, to the point where it is getting hurtful and then I don't know how to react around her and feel I am walking on eggshells all the time so she doesn't get into this bad/ignoring mood (I know that is totally wrong).

She is pretty selfish and does not help me much around the house, but will turn to me nicely when she needs something (of course, what 12 yr. old wouldn't).

She does not have this attitude with my husband, although he says that he just ignores her and that is why she doesn't act up with him...for me it is hard to ignore because she is like that most of the time and I get tired of playing "nice" or as if nothing has happened and just let it go.

I know I must pick my battles, and quite honestly, she is a great girl, straight A student, athletic, etc...but very reserved and very moody and very cruel to me sometimes.

I have spoken to her twice explaining how I feel and demanding she change her attitude, and that I understand she may not like everything I tell her or things she must do, but that is part of life and being a child, and if that makes her angry, that is ok, but not to take it out on me, because that is not ok...My main concern is that if I start punishing her or showing her there are consequences to her attitudes, she will turn away even more, I already feel like she doesn't want me around her. When I try to initiate conversation with her, she will cut it as short as possible, and maybe 3 sentences later she will get to the "never mind" phrase which kills me, because she can't be bothered to explain something and expects me to guess...

I don't know if I am exagerating the situation, my husband says I am and that this is normal, but I don't feel like it is normal for a daughter to walk into the kitchen in the morning and act as if I am not there, or to pull away in the manner she is...

Can anyone please give me any insight as to whether this is sort of normal and might change, or if there is something I can do to change things, or actually, just what to do, because it is really starting to bother me and I feel like I am going to start giving her strong consequences because she doesn't seem to care.

    Thanks!

  • Where in Indianapolis is a good place to buy bathroom appliances and hardware to remodel a bathroom?

I need to remodel my bathroom and install a jacuzzzi tub (floor, vanity, shower, etc.) and I want something better than the things you find at Lowe's or Menards or Home Depot, but am afraid of the prices in smaller stores. Any suggestions? I live in the Carmel area. Thanks!

  • Best hair color shade for light brown to blonde?

My hair is naturally light, light brown and I have light blonde highlights more on the top of my hair, underneath it is darker. I want to color it all a lighter blonde shade and am afraid of the orange, brassy tones. I bought an ultra natural blonde shade (loreal) and am wondering if this will lighten up the underneath brown and even it out or do I need to go to a salon?

  • Is there any weight loss program that truly helps (ie.: Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, etc.)?

I need to lose about 10-15 lbs. and right now I am not capable of doing it by myself for one reason or another. I know mostly everything I need to do (exercise) and eat, but am just not motivated enough and cannot exercise due to back problems that should hopefully be solved soon. The sweet cravings and carb cravings are killing me, besides putting on the pounds as each day passes, my goal was to be thin last summer. Fat chance for this one if I keep up the pace I have picked up. I was thinking of a weight loss program, does anybody have any experience to share about the results? Please help!

    Thanks!

  • Is there any way to protect your house while you are away on vacations?

Maybe a temporary alarm system that hooks up to the police or something similar...Just something so it's not so obvious your house is empty for a month or so...
