If you answered yes, would you ever read a book "Origin of the Speices" by Charles Darwin, a book on witchcraft, paganism, Wicca, or Satanism, or go to a Buddhist temple? Why or why not?

Just a thought. Why do people think that once you become a Christian you are a better person and why does the general public in the US tend to trust Christians more than any other religion? Also why is it that when you donate to the poor or help someone many people automatically assume you must be a Christian?

I really dislike it when people say "You're going to hell" because you lied, killed someone, or stole a piece of candy. Who are you, that you are so superior and righteous that you get to send someone to an imaginary place of damnation? I do not care if you believe in "the one, true eternal god" or whatever. When someone says that phrase it makes them sound extremely uppity, self-righteous, and disgusting. Does anyone else get a little sick when they hear that phrase?

I've had my piercing in for almost 3 years with no complications or infection. I was wondering if there is a maximum limit for how long they are supposed to be in for? Or do they eventually reject after so many years?

The party is for non-believers to celebrate all the over zealous Christians leaving the planet or if that doesn't happen, to throw a party in celebration of being a non believer( or a part of a religion that isn't Christianity). So...who wants to party?

His birthday is on April Fool's Day. Something creative, besides trying to make him think that I forgot his birthday.

It makes me quite uncomfortable when people do that. It's one thing to nicely invite me to church or something, it's a another thing to tell me that the way I think is wrong and that you're religion or ideology is right.

Whenever people mention Adolf Hitler being Christian and yet he murdered 6 million people, Christians on this site always cry that he is not a real Christian because real Christians don't kill people. They always say that the crusades, the Salem witch trials, the killings of pagans, Native Americans, and even African-Americas were crimes committed by people who weren't real Christians, even though history says so. The Old Testament has enough murder and rape in it to make a serial killer blush. So then what is a real Christian exactly? And does that mean that the people in the Old Testament that committed rape, incest, and murder in the name of the Christian god weren't true Christians either? I know they were Hebrews, but you know what I mean right.

I have heard many times(from Christians) that Jesus wasn't even born on the 25th of December? I know about the pagans and how Christians used this holiday to convert them but why do so many(Christians) still insist that Jesus' supposed birth happened December 25th, when it clearly did not? Why don't they instead find a new day to celebrate his birth if they need a holiday that revolves solely around that?

the Christians on this site insist on answering with insults or treating me like I'm dumb? I thought most Christians would at least appreciate my questions but instead they get all snippy. Why do they act this way if they are supposed to be setting an example to the rest of us?

Non believers are ruining "their" holiday? My mother(yes, I currently live with my mother) forced me to go to church last Sunday and the pastor there said something to this effect. As a strong agnostic, I was pretty disgusted. Why do Christians think that they own Christmas?

This is of course hypothetically and mythologically speaking. Several times in the Old Testament god is portrayed as wrathful,jealous, revengeful, manipulative, and he placed a bet for his most devout servant Job, in which Job suffered greatly. Satan, however, did very little else except for possess a few people and make god place the bet for Job. So who is worse, old testament god or satan? Why?

Many Christians assume that things such as evolution or different pools of thought are evil. Why don't they explore them or read about them before they judge, I mean isn't that why of thinking a bit ....primitive? Even if the Bible does say they are evil wouldn't knowing more about them only strengthen your belief in the Bible?

Many Christians don't believe in evolution because they say that the theory of evolution states that humans came from monkeys. With so many books and dvds about evolution and how it works why don't more Christians read one or buy one to gain a better understanding of evolution?

My personally spirituality beliefs aside, I always thought that this site was all in good fun and a place for people to ask each other questions. However I've noticed that some Christians here seem to be getting more and more easily offended and not able to take a joke. Do you guys think that this is some kind of war/contest against atheists and other non believers? Why or why not?

I know I said I wouldn't ask anymore questions tonight, but I really wanna ask this one. This used to a question I'd ask myself sometimes when I was a Christian. Many Christians claim that other religions, such as Wicca, Paganism, Hinduism, and such are really worshipping evil gods/goddesses. Do you guys ever wonder if YOU are the ones worshipping the evil one? Just a simple question, no need to hurl insults or get heated. I come in peace.

This is my last question of the night. I have read the Bible ( I went to private Christian school for 15 years), but I am just curious about the opinions of other. So why do Christians think their religions is better/more promising than any other religion?
