I'm wondering if pushing a bullet too slowly would cause keyholing.

My reloads are generally very accurate, but during my last outing to the range, my .38's were only averaging 690 fps and I was having keyholing issues on paper. It was very cold out that day, in the 40's. (That's cold down here in Louisiana) Generally they are significantly faster, and very accurate.

I'm wondering if the low velocity due to cold weather was causing the key-holing, or is there something else I should be looking at.

The key-holing only occurred with my Blackhawk. Out of my Dan Wesson I had no keyholes and very small groups. That is odd, because generally my Ruger will out shoot my Dan Wesson.

What are your predictions?

This is what I think will happen:

The President will add all semi-automatic firearms, with a capacity of more than ten rounds, and/or detachable magazines, to the NFA destructive device list.

Transfers of these firearms would be subject to the same rules/laws.

I think he will include handguns, as he has stated that he believes these handguns are responsible for the majority of the inner city violence.

I think he will make this retroactive, meaning you will have to register each one of your firearms that fall under the above description. You will have to pay the $5 tax on each firearm as well.

Since it is not a ban, there will be no question as to it's Constitutionality.

This is what Clinton did with the Street Sweeper shotguns in '91, IIRC.

I'm not sure if he would exclude rimfire firearms.

This would avoid Congress, and let democratic leaders off of the hook. He won't be seeking re-election, so it won't affect his future career.

He could do this tomorrow, with no debate.

The CIA tried to silence the leaks, but the administration's desire to 'spike the football' again over ruled them.
