  • What are the most popular current kids tv shows/movies?

I m creating some colouring books for the young kids at my wedding and am fine with the girls (Trolls, Spongebob, Beauty & the Beast). But what TV or movie characters are boys into these days? I was thinking Toy Story or Cars maybe, but these might be a bit ancient!

How do I best saw out this burnt bit of wood!?

So a few weeks back, I did the most stupid thing. I put a disposable bbq on top of a wooden plank in my garden. Obviously it has burned a big hole in the wood and charred it. I am thinking I could saw down the left side of the burn (as the other side is the end of the plank, about 2" to the right of the burn) and just measure the bit I saw to the size of a spare bit I have in a more conspicuous part of the garden. However the plank is part of a supporting wall (not sure if that's what it's called!) it's like a raised garden at one side of it. What would be the best way to saw this out? And the best type of saw to use? Alternatively, I could saw down just a few inches, but once the saw went in I'd have no way of rotating it to cut horizontally under the burn! Any ideas welcomed 😁 Thanks

  • PPI claim, who to contact?

I am putting in a claim for mis-sold ppi when I took out car finance several years ago. The car was bought from Reg Vardy however on the loan agreement it says the ppi was provided by AXA insurance. Which company would I contact to try and claim a refund - the insurer or the seller of the policy? Thanks in advance!

  • How do I deal with this awkward advance from a coworker?

This is such a strange thing to have happened and it has really creeped me out. I don't really know what to do.

I work in a small place - around 15-20 employees - so as you can imagine its quite a close knit environment. I am in my late 20s and, not to be big headed, I still look young. Today, the cleaner approached me and handed me a note, told me to read it and get back to him. This man is in his 50s and has 2 daughters in their 20s. He has always came over a bit weird but never harmless or creepy.

The note said "Drinks and dinner next saturday. Are you up for it?". When I read it I thought it was a joke but, being creeped out by it I tried to just avoid him for the rest of the day and carried on with my job. A few hours later he came and asked to speak to me. I'm quite shy and was really embarrassed. He said he knew there was a big age difference but he thought I was a "top girl". I told him that while I was flattered I had a boyfriend already and so no. He then said if I ever needed anything all I need to do is let him know!

I was and am so creeped out by this. It was so unprecedented and strange - in no way have I ever led him on or even suggested romantic involvement in any way. I just don't understand where this has come from. He is an extremely unattractive old man - old enough to be my dad! Now I'm freaked out by it. Should I just leave it be and see if he just let's this go or should I complain to the boss?

  • Can anyone help with this differentiation question please?

    Evaluate: ∂/∂x (4x^3y^4)

If you just use d for the partial differentiation sign I'll know what you mean. I think the answer is 12x^2y^4 but could someone please tell me if I'm right. If not can you try and explain what I have done wrong. The way I read this is that the equation is asking me to differentiate with respect to x all terms with x in them, so the y term would remain as it is.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Can anyone help with this A level differentiation question please?

I'm stumped with how they got the answer to this question and would appreciate if anyone could explain how they got this answer!

Here is a link to the question and the workings:

    http://www.s-cool.co.uk/a-level/maths/differentiat...

Basically, I follow the workings down to the point where it shows

    2x . 10x(x^2-1)^4 + 2 . (x^2-1)^5

But I have no idea where they get the expression shown after factorising from this:

    (20x^2 + 2(x^2-1)(x^2-1)^4

Can anyone please help me with this? Thanks in advance!

  • Do you like this dress?

I'm going to a wedding next week and I liked this dress but just wondered what everyone thought of it! I'm 5"3 so it's not as short on me as on the model (comes to just above the knees) with brown hair and medium skin and am a UK12 dress size. Thanks all ;)

  • Would you clean if you needed the money?

As I'm on the hunt for a graduate job, I make ends meet working in a leisure club as a waitress/barmaid. As it's winter season, my hours have been cut to under 20 per week. I'm not by any means desperate or in major debt though but I'm by no means financially comfortable. My boss approached me today to ask if I would be prepared to cover for the cleaner for a week while she is on holiday and this would up my hours that week to 40. As you can imagine, I'm not so keen on the idea of cleaning as it may involve toilets and mopping floors and it's during the day in full view of my work colleagues and customers. Should I just swallow my pride and do it or am I right to say no if I don't want to do it? Would you look down on someone you work with doing it - truthfully? I think it would make me feel like a complete failure since I have a degree but there I am sweeping up after everyone but is this just me being too proud?

  • Is the nitrogen atom sp3 or sp2 hybridised?

In pyridine (benzene with one N atom), the N atom has a positive charge and is also attached to an alkyl chain. As it has 4 bonds, is N sp2 hybridised? If so, is there a vacant orbital left on the nitrogen?

  • Should I phone the RSPCA for this?

Would they come out to check on an injured pigeon? I have just seen the saddest thing outside my house in the car park. A white pigeon/dove standing guard over what looks to be it's dead baby. There is another one which has made it's way into the stairwell of the flats - I take it they are a pair and their baby has been killed. The one in the stairway looks injured but I've just been feeding it and it's eating ok. Would they come out for a pigeon? I thought it might just be household pets or wildlife they would deal with. Thanks in advance.

  • New master cylinder for Ford Ka?

I have a brake fluid leak. I took it to a garage about a month ago and they said they said they have put a temporary seal on the pipe that was leaking but if it leaks again I will need a new master cylinder. I am just curious as to roughly how much this is going to cost me including labour etc as sure enough it is now leaking again? Thanks in advance!

  • Noirin: victim or tease?

She makes out that she doesn't like all the attention but she absolutely adores it. She encourages them, especially poor Siavash who you can tell really likes her. She made it clear when they kissed that she liked him but now all of a sudden she just wants to "be friends" and "have fun". If I hear her say either of these 2 remarks again I swear I'll but my fist thru the tv lol.

Marcus is a bit of a weirdo and has been a bit rotten to her just because she doesn't fancy him. But she should have told him straight up that she wasn't attracted to him instead of making up excuses that her ex was watching but then shoving her tongue down someone elses throat. Of course he's gonna be upset.

At first I felt sorry for her having Marcus slabbering all over her but what she done to Siavash has changed my mind. What do you think?
