I am trying to count my calories, but have had difficulty estimating. Here's what i ate:

-Small bowl of Miso Soup

-Edamame - about 8-10 peices (unshelled)

-Sashimi plate (4 peices of salmon, 4 peices of tuna, and 4 peices of something else, i'm guessing yellow tail)

My guestimate was initially 650 calories. WHat are your thoughts?

The walls in my living room are a dark green color and I want to make a drastic change and paint I an ivory or cream color. The difficult thing is that out wall is textured so it will leave colored dots if I don't paint carefully. The first time we painted it green, we needed two coats. So my question is, what kind of primer do I need? And how many coats of primer or paint should I use? Is this project even feasible?

Or are they 2 totally different lines? I always thought that the Seven 7 jeans was a more affordable line made by 7 for all mandkind.

Is the collective bargaining unit allowed to strike when there is a contract currently in place? I thought that if there is an active contract, that employees are not allowed to strike - is this only true if there is a no strike/lockout clause? Otherwise, unions may strike during the term of a valid contract, right?

I was reading up on the Taft Hartley Amendment and it had indicated that striking is prohibited during an active contract, However, section 7 of the Wagner Act lists striking as a protected concerted activity. Are these contradictory?

Well i am pretty much screwed... I owe about $9400 left on my 2000 BMW (above KBB value). I just found out that i need to replace the transmission, estimated to be a little over $5000. Although i heard that car dealerships do not always offer up to kbb trade in value, i looked it up anyway, and found out that it would be approximately $6500.

Should i trade it in for a new car and deal with my negative equity, or just get it fixed? I have a family friend who would be able to fix it for me for about $2000, but it would be a refurbished transmission.

what to do? please help!

What gives, and is this normal? I went in for a check up after my 1st week and was told that it hasn't moved, which means it is still in right direction to healing...

But i don't get why it still hurts.

When will this go away :(

I am not sure where to even start researching this. I just graduated and started my career in Human Resources in the Sacramento area, but i would like to get a job in retail. Perhaps at a large retail corporate office as HR generalist. There seems to be a lot of corporate offices in the Bay Area, particularly Bebe :) but does anyone know of any corporate offices in Sacramento?

My red eared slider turtle is developing this weird stringy film on his legs and neck. i tried giving him a bath to remove it, but it wont come off. Is it algae? its not on his shell, but it looks stringy and is hanging off his skin. what is it, and how do i remove it? i clean his tank once a week and use a water conditioner, as well as a "waste reduction solution" that i bought at the pet shop. It's not working, what should i do? oh, and i recently changed his filter, too.

He eats normally and the water is warm enough for him. But he just seems so miserable! Is there a way to entertain turtles? any such thing as an aquarium toy for him? He is always trying to get out of the aquarium.

i tried having another turtle in there, but he was really aggressive to the other turtle, so that didnt work out.

any ideas?

I have 2 miniature baby turtles that are no bigger than a dollar coin. The smaller one won't eat, and is very skidding (i just brought him home yesterday). I've kept the water warm for them with an aquarium heater, and give it plenty of pellets, about 2-3 times a day. Also, whenever i put food in there, the bigger turtle eats it all up. I have tried isolating the smaller turtle for about an hour so he can get the chance to eat, but he still won't eat! Is there anything else i can do? What else should i feed him? or is it because he's still adjusting?

Well, i scheduled myself for hair color. But currently my hair is a medium brown with blonde highlights. i've had it for years and i am getting really tired of it. Plus, my hair looks "blended" after the color fades, and it just looks all blonde instead of just blonde highlights.

i want something new and drastic. My hair is to the middle of my back, and i'm willing to go a little bit shorter, but not too much.

any suggestions for color and cut? Oh, and my skin is an olive tint with naturally black hair.

I have uneven skin tone and a few acne scars that are pretty faint. However, i can't get away with not wearing a bit of concealer. Would a microdermabrasion help get rid of all these scars, or should i do a chemical peel? I basically want perfect, if not close to perfect skin. =) I'm willing to spend money, but around how much will it cost for either procedures in the Northern California region? Are there any websites i can research to look for Dr's in my area?

I have had medium brown hair with a lot of blonde highlights for years, but i'm ready for a drastic change. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm think of really chunky layers with blonde peek-a-boo highlights underneath. I would like to go dark again, probably dark brown, with blonde highlights underneath. I'm not too fond of red though. Any ideas?

I didn't qualify for a Cal Grant when i was in undergraduate studies because i was using my parent's income bracket. However, now that i have recently graduated and plan on going to law school, i really need financial aid to pay, oh, about $120k for law school!!! I got my first "real" job right after graduation and make a decent amount. Does FASFA cover for graduate school? And if so, what's the income bracket for an single independent?

When i file for a personal leave of absence, is my job protected? Also, will my benefits still continue? (i have been employed for more than 1 year at the company).

If i hadn't qualified for FMLA or personal leave of absence and find it absolutely necessary to take 2 weeks off, would that count towards my absence? And could i be fired because of that?

why can't supervisors be included in collective bargaining units and unions?

why arent they protected under the National Labor Relations Act?

Why did the Taft Hartley Act amend the NLRA to exclude supervisors?

I went to Carver's for lunch and had a very yummy steak salad! I asked for Balsamic Vinagerette on the side, and skipped the bacon. However, it still had a little bit of blue cheese, walnuts, and grilled onions. OOHHh and a good amount of steak =D

im on the south beach diet so i stayed away from bread. but im worried about the calorie content of the salad. any ideas?

i couldnt find the nutrition facts for Carver's online.

i got it at a mexican restaurant. it had about 2 dozen shrimp, tomato sauce, onions, tomatoes, and advocados.....it was really yummy....but does it have a lot of calories? im sure its got fat from advocados...but im ADDICTED to shrimp coctails...oh and sushi rolls! is it bad to have shrimp cocktials and sushi while i'm on a diet and working out?

It's ridiculous! Craigslist is promoting prostitution, which is ILLEGAL in most states, by allowing them to post ads for free! How does Craigslist get away with this? Arent there any legal issues that they have to go through?

Many of these ads arent even ambiguous....they are all OBVIOUSLY ads for prostitution.

How are we supposed to clean up our towns when nothing is being done about prostitution, and when websites like Craigslist allow prostitutes to post ads?

Can anything be done about this?
