Sometimes, those on limited, fixed incomes have a few dollars left each month. Instead of spending them, I for example save the money, or donate to charity. But, what should our goals continue to be money-wise? Having saved all our lives, many of us need some guidance, now.

In reviewing my home communications and entertainment (radio, TV, computer, stereo, et al), I'm wondering if we are biting off our noses to spite our faces because of this new push by the FAA. It seems this is a great time to hook up our computers with a large screen TV, and bring in the stereo components with surround-sound to, say record LPs, etc on DVDs in MP3, etc. and have a great deal more at the fingertips, wireless if you please. Any one out there have information on this? (I really don't see the need to 'put out' high $ for satellite, or Dish stuff either - a tall antenna should do the 'trick' with HD).

The goal in this economy should be something that lasts - my stereo and speakers are still in excellent condition after 25 years and cost more than a home system like I'm envisioning now would cost. Help please?

All of us "answerers" should have something we can give to those trying to survive on high food, gas, medical, clothing, services, housing, utilities, and tax bills.

So, I'm opening this up for questions from others, so we can pin-point needs and help, when possible, with good ideas. Societies survive incredible forces when they band together - so let's BOND. ;-))

Can anyone help me with these issues? The dates on my blog entries are way off, so I put the date on each entry, now, but also, the lastest entry is first, instead of in natural order.

Thus far, I've had to number my entries. This is tiring.
