  • Ever notice here in the room, when you ask a JW a HARD question they never answer?

And a JW's answer to a hard question on the street is, sorry, we;re late for a meeting. Shine the light of truth on them, and like rats, they scurry.

  • In the beginning was the Word?

and the Word was with God

and the Word was a god.

How did the NWT come up with such a horrible mis-translation, reducing Jesus to a god?

  • The Bible clearly teaches that Jesus is Almighty God?

So how do JW's justify their doctrine that Jesus is a lesses god? And isn't believing in an Almighty God and a little g god be belief in 2 God's? Mainly, why does the NWT call Jesus a god in John chapter 1?

  • Ever read old JW books?

Jehovah Witnesses used to believe in the cross, they celebrated holidays, and believed Jesus should be worshiped. Why do they keep changing their beliefs?

  • Can a Jehovah Witness answer a question for me?

Jehovah Witness theology teaches that when someone dies, they are dead. No memories, thoughts, they are aware of nothing. They are in in the grave waiting for the resurrection. But the Bible teaches differently. Mark 12:26:27 states

“26 “But regarding the fact that the dead rise again, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the passage about the burning bush, how God spoke to him, saying, ‘I AM THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, AND THE GOD OF ISAAC, and the God of Jacob’?

27 “He is not the God of the dead, but of the living; you are greatly mistaken.” Mark 12:26-27.

The Gospel of Mark says that those who "died" are still living.

How do you Jehovah Witnesses reconcile that?

MORMON THEOLOGY......As taught be Mormon leaders

"The crowning Gospel ordinance requisite for Godhood is celestial marriage. The doctrine of celestial marriage, as taught and practiced in the Church of Jesus Christ today, means temple marriage...Marriage is not only a righteous institution, but obedience to this law is absolutely necessary in order to obtain the highest exaltation in the kingdom of God." (The Gospel Through the Ages, pp. 118- 119).

This highest level of salvation is called "exaltation", "godhood", and "eternal life". Concerning this latter term, it is worth pointing out that such verses as John 3:16, 5:24, 1 John 5:13 etc. speak of "eternal life" being free, received by simple faith in Christ, and not worked for.

Once obtaining this full salvation, the cycle then repeats itself again. Joseph Fielding Smith explains this:

"The Father has promised us that through our faithfulness we shall be blessed with the fullness of his kingdom...To become like him we must have all the powers of godhood; thus a man and his wife when glorified will have spirit children who eventually will go on an earth like this one we are on and pass through the same kind of experiences, being subject to mortal conditions, and if faithful, then they will receive the fullness of exaltation and partake of the same blessings. There is no end to this development; it will go on forever. We will become gods and have jurisdiction over worlds, and these worlds will be peopled by our own offspring." (Joseph Fielding Smith, Doctrines of Salvation, vol. 2, p. 48).

Mormons believe that this process has been going on always:

Brigham Young, the 2nd president of the Church, said:

"He [God] is our Father - the Father of our spirits, and was once a man in mortal flesh as we are, and is now an exalted being. How many Gods there are, I do not know. But there never was a time when there were not Gods..." (Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, vol. 7, p. 333)

    Heber C. Kimball said:

"...then we shall go back to our Father and God, who is connected with one who is still farther back; and this Father is connected with one still further back, and so on..." (Heber C. Kimball, Journal of Discourses, vol. 5, p. 19).

In a famous statement which summarizes eternal progression, Lorenzo Snow said:

"As man now is, God once was; As God now is, man may become." (Teachings of Lorenzo Snow, p. 2).

  • Should Christians vote for a Mormon?

Mitt Romney's ultimate goal is not to become president. Mitt Romney's ultimate goal, like all good Mormon men, is to become.........GOD. Mormons believe in a theology called "Eternal Progression". Their beliefs are that before earth was created, Elohim/God and his spirit wife gave birth to two spirit brothers, Jesus and Lucifer. Lucifer became the devil. Jesus led a good life, therefore Elohim/God came to earth and had sexual relations with Mary, impregnating her with the spirit Jesus and producing a mortal Jesus. Because Jesus led a holy life, he was made the God of earth. All Mormon men today, if they lead good holy lives, will be made a god, and given their own planet.

If you don't believe what I wrote here, google Eternal Progression for yourselves. Mormon men become gods, and Mormon wives become eternally pregnant.

Isn't that the lie Satan told in the garden, you can become like God?

Do we want a president who REALLY thinks he can become God?

Do we Christians want a cult member in the White House?

  • Another question to Christians?

Most answered that the story of Creation in Genesis is a real story. But what about day six, the Creation of Adam and Eve, and their fall from grace in chapter 3. Is this true or allegory?

Was there a real Adam and Eve who sinned and brought sin into the world?

  • I would like to ask a question of the thinking Atheists concerning evolution and creation?

About 16 billion years ago there was nothing, and than it went bang. Doesn't make sense to me, but maybe to you.

Also, the second law of Thermodynamics says that everything is breaking down, going from an organized state to disorganization. My question, how did everything get organized in the first place from a big bang?
