Short. Sweet. To the point.

  • Anybody know this movie?

I saw this movie like 11 years ago. The only thing I remember was that it was about aliens (I think) and there was a huge satellite dish. There was a little black boy who was an alien and transformed his legs backwards like a kangaroo and jumped off the satellite dish and ran away. I thought Bruce Willis played in it but after checking IMDB, I'm not so sure. If you could tell me the name of the movie, or even who might've been in anything close to this, I would greatly appreciate it!

  • Game Cheat Codes Please?

I'm new to Madworld on Wii. It's a really fun game and I like playing it but something is wrong with the save application. I got the game in April and I haven't gotten very far because I'm not a serious gamer. The last stage I was on was in the train station where you have 30 minutes to get out of there. I always beat that part and I find the special weapon but I always stop there and turn it off (usually because I have to go to work or something). Whenever I come back to the game, it hasn't saved so I have to go back through the tutorial and beat the first Bloodbath challenge all over again! On the game case and in the directions it says that the game saves automatically. Is there a check point I'm supposed to be looking for? How do I get my game to save?

  • Sony Vaio Help Please?

I have a Sony Vaio (entertainment edition I think) and there is a strip of light on the bottom. Whenever the latptop turns on, turns off or is hiberating, the light is a white-blue. I don't mind it coming on whenever the laptop turns on and off but when it's hiberating (which it usually is), the light is annoying. It flashes in intervals and is very bright. Is there anyway that I can turn the light off when the laptop is hiberating? Can I turn the brightness down? Thanks!

  • Does anyone know this song...?

My friend sings this song everyday and we cannot remember what movie it was in. She believes it's from a Disney movie. Can anyone help us figure this out?

"It's a whale of a tale I'll tell ya lads! A whale of a tale or two..."

We know they sing it in Finding Nemo but it's sung in another movie. Thanks!

  • Can you identify my problem? ?

I think I've asked this question before but I'm going to ask it again. I compulsively pick and tear at my cuticles. I rarely bite and break my nails but I always, always, always pull and rip the skin around the nail. I've been doing it for about (estimated) three years now. The pigment in my fingertips is gone, leaving pink-colored flesh underneath. I pick until they bleed, hurt, or someone slaps my hand away from my face. When I'm conscious of doing it, I rarely stop myself. Most of the time however, I do it unconsciously and for hours at a time. Is there anyone out there who knows what's wrong with me? I'm not looking for a diagnosis, just some background information. Thanks so much!!

  • Remembering problem...why is that? ?

Why is it that people can remember the song lyrics to every song on their Ipod but they can't remember important things like their homework assignments or where they took their shoes off? Me and my friend suffer from the same problem. I can remember the most random facts ever and quote tons of movies and songs but I can't remember what I had for dinner last night. She can remember every song there is to remember but can't remember where she put her phone. Is it that we don't want to remember that kinda stuff? Or is it we are just forgetful?

  • A Tale of Two Cities?

I have to read this book for English as an outside reading assignment. The entire class reads it outside of class and then we write papers on it and discuss it during 'seminar'. I just can't seem to get into the beginning. I read all genres and particularly love romance, action, adventure, pirates and swashbuckling heroes kind of books (like Princess Bride, The Kite Runner). Is this going to bore me to death? Any reviews would be amazingly appreciated. Thanks!

  • Does Anyone Know About Heroes?

I heard they were making a Villians segment to Heroes. Does anyone know when that's being released? Or maybe when the third season of Heroes is out? Or when the second season is being released on DVD? Thanks, I'm a huge fan of the show and I can't wait for the next coupe seasons! Or this mini-show!

  • New Windows Vista?

I use a database on the new Microsoft XP on Windows Vista. I use the mail merge option on Microsoft Word to converge the two documents. The data in XP is names and addresses of people. Certain names won't show up on the merge file. I need them all to show up and I don't know how to fix this problem. I need all the names to show up all the time but I don't know how. I use the most updated version of the XP file and it still won't work. Any advice or help would be most appreciated!

  • Does This Really Happen?

I was just reading about the Darwin Awards (yes, like the ones in the movie) and I saw one that went like this: A man felled a rather large tree and rather than go get the proper lift and move it, he removed the rear tire from his pickup and tied a rope around the rim. He tied the opposite end around the tree and went and pressed down on the accelerator. The driver door was opened and his free foot was on the ground. Of course, his half-ton pickup didn't move the couple-ton tree and instead of moving forward, the truck jerked backwards, catching the man between the door and the nearby tree. Of course, he died (he wouldn't be on the Darwin Awards if he hadn't! ;)).

The theory was 'unconfirmed' (the website makes sure it's possible to die this way, or that it's a real story) but I want to know a couple things...

  • Really Confused?

Ok, I just watched the Tim Burton version of Planet of the Apes with Mark Wahlberg. I liked it (a little drawn out) but I didn't understand the part where he travels back through the storm and returns to Washington D.C. at the proper time period. I got the whole Christ reference with their test animals starting the race but I didn't understand the Lincoln Memorial reference. Someone want to explain that to me please? Easy 10 points!

  • Tourist Attractions?

I'm traveling with a mission team to Gulfport, Mississippi to help Katrina victims rebuild their houses and I've been assigned to find tourist attractions down there so we have something to do with our down time or our off days. The Internet doesn't really do any good because it gives me businesses and semi-annual events, like Christmas Tree Lighting. So is there anyone out there who lives down there and could help me out? Or anyone with any ideas to help narrow my search on the web? Thanks so much!

  • Why Is It....?

When people are fans of someone like the Beatles or in the newest horror movie, Prom Night, they find the need to kill them. If you're a fan of someone, why would you want them dead? I never understood that, does anyone care to explain? I mean, I understand being a fan of someone and obsessively stalking them or whatever by why kill them?

  • Anyone seen this movie?

Ok, I know it's a war movie and I'm pretty sure it was WWII. I saw it on TV a few months ago and it's been bothering me. It's about this nurse whose been sneaking medicine to prisoners of war in a Japanese camp. Then, one of them (her lover I think) gets like pneumonia or something. Then I rememer this scene where a bunch of Nazis invade a hospital and line up the nurses to find out whose been stealing medicine. Several are killed execution style and one of the Japanese nurses is about to rat her out. Any guesses would be appreciated!

  • Obitiuaries?

My uncle passed away in the 80s from a heroin overdose and my family is very hush-hush about it. I want to find more information on him since my family is being so tight-lipped. I managed to get a date of birth, death date, birth city and social security number on him but I don't know how else I should him. I would like to know the certified cause of death and just more information about him. He died before I was born but he's still my uncle, right? Any suggestions on how I should search him? I can't ask my family, they get really quiet about it. I've signed up for an Ancestry.com account, which is where I found the information. Any suggestions, much appreciated!

  • Eye Problem?

For the past month and a half, my eyes have been uncontrollably darting back and forth. They aren't doing it constantly, just now and then. I recently went to the eye doctor to ask her about it and she suggested it may be a focus problem. I do have depth perception problems and fairly strong lenses. Is there anything that could be causing this? The longest the spasms have lasted has been about five minutes. They happen enough during the day to bother me. Should I go back to the doctor or just live through it?

  • African American?

Ok, so my AP U.S. History teacher uses the word African-American instead of black when she talks about slaves or the Civil Rights Movement. I don't really like the term "African-American" because to me, it's like the white person's way of apologizing for all of the horrible misdeeds ever done to the black race. And I also don't understand why we're still considered African-American. I'm mixed, but it is generally assumed by strangers that I'm black and I'm the fifth generation out of slavery. Why are we called African-Americans if we aren't from Africa? Yes, my ancestors were but white people's ancestors were from Europe and they aren't called European Americans. The only time I thinik it's appropriate to call someone an African-American is if they migrated from Africa to America. Does anyone else feel this way?
