  • Movies. “Order”?

I need a better understanding of how and why the word “Order” is used in movies. I am writing a young adult book, and I believe I would like to use this in my plot.

I’ve heard characters in movies say: “We belong to the order of, or I belong to the order of”. I know that it has something to do with similarities under the same rule I think?

Which movies or what characters  have said this statement on screen. I want to understand how it applies to the plot, the action in the movie and the characters etc. Belonging to an order, what makes them different do they have unique powers or DNA?

    Thank You

  • Undermining employee?

As a manager, I’ve hired new staff. The new staff is great, and willing to work, go the extra mile, and my engagement with them has created the beginnings of positive relationships. We have evolved the department to a better place. Here’s the problem I don’t know how to fix. I have an employee Who’s been with the company long before my hire date. She spreads gossip, brings up old problems, undermines, manipulates etc, etc.  I see some of her negative behavior beginning to rub off on my new employees. Ive documented what I was able to prove, but the HR. Department offers no support and seems to be in cahoots with this employee. How do you leaders deal with a problem like this. I find it very irritating, and almost distracting. This makes moving the department and operations forward discouraging.

  • What can adults do to raise their self-esteem.?

I am 55, and I think I need my self-esteem raised. I’m single, and lonely, it is hard for me to bond with people. I hide this in my life. I’m a manager in the healthcare industry, and my life is spent working and going home. Here’s the situation whenever something goes wrong, Or as bad, I always feel the worst. I always I feel as if the situation won’t change. I made the same bad mistakes in life over and over again and I tried to change my thought process towards situations, but I’m not successful. I am a very needy person because I don’t have interaction with people on a deep level, I truly don’t know how. It’s not easy for me to come out and talk, and I don’t have a social circle. Sometimes I feel as though if I could find a partner that I could talk to about my day today going on and they will listen and encourage me it would make things so much better. I also feel at times if they were some sort of group activities I could get Involved and I will feel better. One thing I noticed in life that when somebody encourages me it’s like my body and mind sucks it up like a sponge. I feel that I need so much more of this in life but I just don’t know how to get it I’ve been trying my whole life. Where do I go from here I’m looking for nontraditional solutions, because online talks about getting involved in this activity or that activity, or talking to a therapist, I’ve tried that nothing has worked. I know the real change is within myself, but I don’t know how to dig it up.

  • Dating at 55?

Hello, I am in my mid-50s. I want a relationship, I want to be loved and I want to give love. I have not dated in a long time. I signed up for two dating sites. The men on the sites are educated, own their homes, stable and have complete lives. I, on the other hand, I am not self-sufficient, work paycheck to paycheck, live with my daughter, I don't own my own home. When I read the profiles of the men I don't feel as if I measure up. This is intimidating to me and I feel as if I may not ever find someone for me. What do I do to get around this and find someone who Maybe for me.

  • Work Place Morale and Standardization.?

I want to create educational material on how to get the most out of your employees By investing in them. Where it will contribute to a productive work place, employee growth, empowerment, higher Morale, lower turnover etc. Employees should understand the scope of the job duties in the interview process or the on boarding process.

Recently I worked in Hospital Food Service in the US. The employees had low morale, the operation was very unorganized with minimal communication, and every department was for itself. Employees actually sat around in chairs, while management did the work. There was no standardization in the department at all. Employees worked like robots without taking any ownership in what they did, they just acted. Some employees even went on break and never returned to their workstations.

Has anyone else experienced this recently and became frustrated and wanted to change it?

I am not sure if there are more companies out there that operate this way, if so I would like to educate them on how to run the operations/department better.

Is there anything out there that exist like this for small organizations?

Do you have any advice on how I should start or who I should contact in order to get this up and running?

I need a title for this project that includes the term standardization. (Any Ideas).

Is there a way to get from Waldorf Md. to Arlington Va. via top road in a car? I want to avoid highways and bridges, and I’d rather not take the Metro.

Step by step directions are greatly appreciated. (I know that I can use a GPS, but I am new to the state).

  • Resume Gap Help?

After working long term jobs, I helped my family. My employment gap of 4 years, was spent caring for my grandkids and having odd jobs. I traveled state to state to help care for them, because they are a military family. At the time, the jobs only lasted 8-9 months.

How to I put this on a resume?

  • What am I observing?

A new manager has used a divide and conquer Tactic at work. She manipulates and pits employees against each other to provoke them to snitch on each other. It has caused so much tension at work. She wont confront the aftermath, but sends supervisors out on the frontline with employees. 2 weeks in she allows an employee to grope her. With the information she gains, she documents. Employees no longer communicate with her. They've turned to HR. Has anyone experienced such? Is my conquer/divide observation correct?
