4 AnswersRock and Pop8 years agoAre you looking forwards to Megadeth's next album?
I myself have been mixed about it since the chain of events starting with his last album Thirteen. I felt that he rehashed old demoes previously released on past remastered albums that were not really needed, and only a few of the songs were good (everything else just came out boring). Plus, Dave Mustaine's crazy behavior politically from the album's release all through last year (literally got turned off after his conspiracy theories he proposed).
I still may give a listen, but it's not really on the top of my list.
6 AnswersRock and Pop8 years agoCan someone explain to me why mainstream rock stations are still in the past?
They're are still playing music by Papa Roach, P.O.D., Three Days Grace, and basically many post-grunge Nickelback spawns. Isn't it clear that these bands just aren't popular anymore and they need to move away from nu metal and post-grunge?
8 AnswersRock and Pop8 years agoSo, anyone here listen to Screaming Trees?
Man, just got into them. Sweet Oblivion is a pretty good album. In addition to Nearly Lost You, songs like Butterfly, Dollar Bill, and Troubled Times are real good...and the album closer Julie Paradise is a great rocker.
What do you guys think?
2 AnswersRock and Pop8 years agoAnyone here a fan of Soilwork?
Probably my biggest find from last year. I enjoyed their stuff from A Predator's Portrait to Stabbing the Drama, and their new album (comes out this week in the U.S., already out in Europe) The Living Infinite has been getting a real good buzz.
BQ: Favorite Soilwork songs
BQ2: Other similar bands you like
1 AnswerRock and Pop8 years agoWhat are some albums you are looking forward to 2013?

5 AnswersRock and Pop8 years agoWhich bands are similar to the Offspring?
I'm working on making a playlist of Offspring songs as well as songs similar to The Offspring. Which bands (and possibly songs) would work well?
Do not list random metal, post-hardcore (or what scene kids think is "screamo") or nu metal songs that don't feel similar to The Offspring/

There's a few stuff coming up for me like new Coheed and Cambria (part 2 of the Afterman), Stone Sour (part 2 of House of Gold and Bones), Soilwork (it's a double album BTW), and Killswitch Engage (back to Jesse Leach now).
What bout you guys?

I'm once again looking at the stuff I have on my computer...I feel like I used too many genres (like thrash metal, hardcore punk, alternative rock, east coast hip-hop, breakbeat, blues rock, etc...) but I want to see what you guys do for your music genres.
