  • Does Geico have a grace period?

I'm using Geico car insurance for the first time, and my bill was due Thursday. I paid it already, but I paid late because I didn't have auto-pay set up. Basically, I'm just wondering if I'll get in trouble with them or face a fee?

Do they have a grace period? If so how long? I live in Southern California, if that matters.

  • Joseph Campbell and a story of the Dalai Lama?

Joseph Campbell told a touching story of the Dalai Lama's reaction to the question of revenge against the invaders of Tibet who killed thousands of his people. Some of the survivors were hell-bent on revenge, and he dissuaded them from taking any further action.

I swear I read this in Power of Myth, or maybe Hero With A Thousand Faces. In any case, it was a fantastic story. Can anybody either find the story online or pinpoint it in Campbell's book? I will be forever grateful!

  • Anyone know the price of a Failure to Appear in California?

I had a speeding ticket that I didn't go to court for. Dumb, I know, but I paid the fine along with the $300 civil assessment tacked onto it.

Now I have to see a judge for the Failure to Appear, and was wondering if anyone knew the fine/punishment that goes along with that? This is in Orange County, if that matters.

    Thanks.

  • How do I fix a Failure to Appear in California?

On my record, I have a speeding ticket (22349AVC) which I would like to pay, but I also have a Failure to Appear (405095VC) on my record. If I were to go to the city offices and pay my speeding ticket fine, would my FTA be removed, or could I be arrested if I showed up or face other disciplinary action?

Basically, how do I get rid of the Failure to Appear (code 405095VC)

Am I overworried, or what? In any case, this should be some easy points for the law buffs here. Thanks.

  • Anyone know where to download a custom version of Foobar?

I like the Foobar media player for listening to music, but I don't want just the default release. I used to have a really nice looking custom one, but reformatted.

Anyone know where to get a nice looking, custom Foobar that can play everything from MP3s to OGG?

  • German Speakers: What does spitzgefühl and fingerspitzgefühl mean?

If anyone out there is fluent in German or understands the words spitzgefühl and fingerspitzgefühl, I would appreciate if you could tell me what they mean as best you can, as I know some German words are hard to translate into English.

Just a definition of both words would be great!

  • What is a steak burger?

I've been buying pre-made hamburger patties from the market (Stater Bros.). They have one called Garlic and cracked black pepper, cheddar cheese and bacon, Italian beef burger, and more. But they also have one thats called "steak burger" which looks to be mostly like groundbeef with brown spots that also seem to be ground, I think. It seriously doesn't look much different from the other 100% ground beef patties.

Anyone know for certain what constitutes a "steak burger" whether its from Stater Bros. or not? Figured this would be easy points for you grilling enthusiasts.

  • Wine coolers, specifically MD 50/50?

So I've never tried wine coolers. I hear MD 50/50 (Mad Dog 50/50) is a good, easy to drink choice and I was wondering if anyone could list a few flavors for me, if not make a recommendation based on personal experience.

Also, please post the price for whatever size it is you've tried. I know prices differ in area to area, but a rough estimate would be nice. I live in California, if that helps.

Figured this would be an easy question for someone to tout their favorite wine cooler, and earn some easy points! Thanks!
