I will be graduating college in a year and a half with a bachelors in natural resources management. A lot of the entry level jobs in my field pay less than I would like (30-37k range), and I dont want to earn that little after going to school for 4 years and with a 55k debt to pay off afterwards.

I am considering joining the US navy as an officer because I feel like it would be a good way to further my career and get a better job someday, plus it would allow me to see the world and continue on with military service within my family.

Any navy personnel or officers have any recommendations or things to keep in mind before joining/talking to a recruiter?

Ive had this sore throat for 5 days now, and it hasnt gotten any better. It hurts both my throat and front neck muscles to swallow (and sneeze). I have no difficulty talking or breathing at all though. I also occasionally spit up some red-orange mucus, but its usually a more clear flem. The back of my neck is also uncomfortable, but its not to the point where its unbearable.

What is wrong with me?

I got a new tattoo over the weekend, now that its starting to peel the colors are way lighter than i intended. Since touchups are free from the artist i got it from, is it possible to get it colored in darker? i got some yellow lines that i can hardly see and the orange i wanted looks like a light red

Ok im not going to name my school, but its a very remote college in northern new york state. Here we only have about 1000 students total, and well over half of them are guys. There is no greek life on this campus either. The girls here arent very good looking and the very few pretty ones have boyfriends and want nothing to do with you. Its nearly impossible to score with any girls here, considering how most are either taken, fat or prude.

The area itself is very cold in the winter, and any amenities are in a boring town 12 miles away. The nearest movie theater, is even further. We dont even have a night club anywhere near here either. The so called "party houses" up here is nothing but a bunch of wannabe hard@sses who fight each other over the very few girls that even attend, and said parties arent even that good.

In my opinion, my college experience has been pretty awful compared to what i hear about big schools and see on college related movies. The only good thing up here are the friends i have made, but then again, you make friends at any college..

Has anybody else had a bad experience with school? I feel like im getting cheated out of the so called "best years of your life" by going where i go, i feel like im one of the only students going through this sort of thing since my college feels like a glorified version of high school but worse

Im used to using amazon and ebay, but zazzle has this one sticker i really want. Ive never ordered from them before and am a little skeptical. I just dont want my identity or credit card getting ripped off or anything

i want to join the coast guard once i finish college, i plan on seeing a recruiter this summer for more info.

I currently live in new york, which i really want to get out of for political reasons and the weather. Whats the chance i can be stationed somewhere south? (VA, carolinas, GA, FL, AL, MS, LA, TX)

ok, so im a slim (not bony but not buff) 19 year old college guy. Ive been told by exes that im attractive, Ive been told by girls in the past that im a nice guy and not an ******, I go to a dang good college and do well in it, I drive a sports car, my life is stable, my family isnt dysfunctional, and I have money...

But it has been over a year since my last actual relationship, and 6 months since i last got to have sex with a girl (that i met on the internet)...

Whats wrong with me? How is it that a guy like myself cant seem to find a decent girl? And all the ones i get attracted to dont feel the same about me, and all the girls that i view as attractive either have a boyfriend or wont talk to me...

Girls please explain, i just dont understand why im having these sort of problems

ok so nearly every morning i wake up, my body is sore. my back, upper leg muscles, arms, and sometimes neck hurt and i resort to taking ibuprofen when i wake up. a hot shower can help a little bit as well im a college student who isnt very active if that helps or not.

what can i do to wake up feeling good? i always wake up feeling like crap

My starter went today in my 1987 pickup, and I REALLY dont want to have to take it into the shop. Is this an easy fix? or is it a long repair? Ive heard people say some starters are easy to do, but others are a b**** job.

For anyone who has ever replaced a starter on an old toyota 22r motor, how long did it take you to complete it?

like if i were to fail a drug test, would it be stuck on my record for life? would the potential employer tell my parents? could the lab or the potential employer let word out about it or is it confidential?

when i take the test it will have been 10 days since i smoked the green. however it was the first time since over a month, so it was well spaced out. I dont regularly smoke, but i was at a party and they got me to do it while i was a bit tipsy. whats the best way to beat the test? drinking a lot of water, using someone else's pee in a cigar tube or what?
