  • How do I record on my VCR with an analog TV and this new converter box?

    We just hooked up our analog TV to one of these new converter boxes. The VCR has also been "put in the loop" as directed. We have over the air reception(no cable or dish). I am trying to do a time recording on the VCR. I read that you need to have the converter box tuner on the station you want to record...did that. But the VCR doesn't give you the ability to put in channel 4.1, only whole numbers. I tried just doing setting it to record 4. It records, but the picture is no good. What am I doing wrong? And does this mean anything...when the VCR is powered on, the picture on the TV is no good. I also tried leaving the TV on once I programed and shut off the VCR, but again I got sound but bad picture. Please give very detailed instructions!! and thanks!
