The American committee were the Baptist,

Congregationalist, Dutch Reformed, Friends, Methodist, Episcopal,

    Presbyterian, Protestant Episcopal, and

Unitarian. (this is NOT the "'NEW' American Standard" which has been rewritten and corrupted)

The Original "American Standard Bible" (ASB)...The American committee were the Baptist, Congregationalist, Dutch Reformed, Friends, Methodist, Episcopal, Presbyterian, Protestant Episcopal, and Unitarian....(NOT referring to the new recent "New American standard" which has been corrupted).

The American Standard Bible is a good one to read.

  • How does Jesus' Life and Death benefit us?

    Every Bible says this.......

(John 3:16) “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life."

How can we show appreciation? There are many ways and here is one very important one.......

  • What is Jehovah God's Name in your Grandparents native Languages?

The name of God was no mystery in Colonial America. Consider, for example, the American Revolutionary Patriot Ethan Allen.

At Fort Ticonderoga during the American Revolutionary War on May 10, 1775,

history tells us Ethan Allen demanded that his enemies surrender “in the name of the Great Jehovah."

Jehovah was the name the British and original settlers of the early colonies had in their Bibles long before the modern day organization of Jehovah s Witnesses was founded.

God s Son Christ Jesus said this when praying to His heavenly father.......

(John 17:26) "And I have made your name known to them and will make it known, in order that the love with which you loved me may be in them and I in union with them.”

Of course we don t know the exact spelling or pronounciation of the names of either Almighty God OR His Son who were probably called something like Yihowah (or Yahweh) and His Son Yehoshua, but in English we call them Jehovah and Jesus.

No letter "J" in Hebrew? No problem, most of us speak English here in the U.S., Canada, British Isles, Australia, New Zealand etc. where we have the letter "J" and say names like Jeremiah and Jesus even though they are English estimates on pronounciations. It goes with the language and the territory.

In Italy the Name of Almighty God is pronounced GEOVA, in Romania it is IEHOVAH, in parts of Asia it is YEWOWAH, some North American Natives say YIHOWA, the Spanish speaking people say Jehová like the 1539 Reina Velera Bible says.

    (Juan 13:35; 17:16; Hechos 10:34, 35; 1 Juan 3:16; Mateo 5:44)

    ¿Hay alguna religión verdadera?

    ....10 estrellas.......y un abrazo....... :)

Ademas.......¿Dónde hallar respuestas a las grandes cuestiones de la vida?

    ....5 estrellas....

In Jesus' model prayer He said this.......

  • What does John 3:16 mean to You?

(John 3:16) “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life."

    That is why we say.......

(2 Corinthians 1:3) "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort,"

Yes, God Loves us so much that He gives His best and His Son Loves us to.

This is what my friends are doing to commemorate this.......

  • What is the name of the God that Jesus prayed to?

In prayer He said the following...

(John 17:3) "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of YOU, the only true God, AND of the one whom YOU sent forth, Jesus Christ."

In prayer He said this...in the Garden of Geth·sem'a·ne,

Mark chapter 14:35 "And going a little way forward he proceeded to fall on the ground and began praying that, if it were possible, the hour might pass away from him. 36 And he went on to say: “Abba, FATHER, all things are possible to YOU; remove this cup from me. Yet NOT what I want, but what YOU want.”

    And God's Word says this.......

(2 Corinthians 1:3) "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort,"

  • Do You Praise the GOD and FATHER of Our Lord Christ Jesus?

The Bible tells us to at.......

(2 Corinthians 1:3) Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort,

(Ephesians 1:3) Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, for he has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in union with Christ,

(this is just a partial list)

Jesus always praised God and He prayed to Him regularly. He said this in prayer.......

(John 17:3) This means everlasting life, their coming to know YOU, the only true God, AND the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.

    Who was He praying to?

Who is His GOD and FATHER that the Bible speaks of? Please think sincerely about it.
