  • Wedding dress altered too small. HELP!!!?

I just returned from my first fitting and am sick to my stomach! I started with a size 4 dress that needed to be taken down to about a size 2-3 in different areas. My dress is fit and flare and all lace. When I tried to put the dress on today, I literally couldn't get it over my hips and there was at least a good 1.5" gap in the zipper - no way it was going to zip! I am completely blown away at how wrong the alterations are. The dress went from almost two sizes too big to two sizes too small. I am 5' 7" and 117 lbs - the dress wouldn't fit someone that weighs 100 lbs. It is SO off it's like it was altered to someone else's measurements or something. All the seamstress had to say was "Hmm... did I take it in too much?" UMMM... YA THINK? I am absolutely LIVID. She said she can fix it, but I of course do not trust her now. So, my question is, has this happened to anyone else? Can it REALLY be fixed (she said she hasn't cut it at all yet)? Should I take it to someone else, or am I better off letting her fix her own mess? And lastly, is the lace going to be damaged now when she takes it back out? Any advice, suggestions or reassurance is appreciated! I am completely freaking out and have only 6 weeks until my wedding - no time to order and tailor another dress!

  • CD won't eject from car stereo in 2007 Mercedes C230?

I put a burned CD in the dash CD player (not in the 6 disc changer in the glovebox) and it read "CD ERROR" and then wouldn't let me eject it. Now it's stuck in the player. I have played burned CDs in it for 2 years and never had a problem.

Has this happened to anyone else? Any way to get it out other than taking it to the Mercedes dealership?

  • Sewing Machine Advice...?

I am looking to buy a sewing machine for a small home business making dog collars, leashes and other miscellaneous items. I don't have much experience sewing so I would like something simple and very user friendly. The machine won't need to do anything fancy, but it will have to be able to sew through very thick, heavy-duty nylon/polyester webbing material. What would you recommend? I am open to buying a used one as long as I have some knowledge of what's good and what's not. Thanks!!

  • Dog ate 1/2 of a Tylenol PM...?

I just noticed my dog chewing on something, when I went to remove it from his mouth, I realized it was 1/2 of a Tylenol PM Quick Release Gelcap. My husband took some last night, and apparently he dropped one in the kitchen. About half of the powder was still in the cap when I got it away from him.

Is this toxic for a dog? I know that you can give dogs some human medications (Benedryl, Dramamine, Pepto Bismol) so I just want to make sure that this isn't need to take him to the veterinarian. So far he's acting normally. He's a 40 pound lab/pit mix puppy.

  • Music/Musician related dog names?

What are some dog names that could be associated with Dave Matthews Band? Of course the obvious is Dave or Matthew - but I'm looking for something a bit more obscure. Maybe a name relative to a song or song lyrics, other band members, etc. Or, any other musician/music related names for a pet. Thanks!!

  • Halloween Costumes for couples...?

I need some unique and clever costume ideas for my boyfriend and I. Obviously, the costumes need to correlate and any witty play on man/woman roles in relationships would be good, but any suggestions are fine. Something that can still look sexy/attractive would be a plus also. It's for a $10,000 prize. Help me, PLEASE!!! Thanks!

  • My boyfriend still has porn pictures/videos of his ex-wife...?

I understand that everyone has a past and that it was before me, etc. - However, I found out he still frequently looks at them as well as inappropriate photos of other girls he once dated. I found a hidden and locked folder containing nearly 50 pics and videos. I'm disgusted, pissed-off and saddened by his behavior. I know if I confront him with it, rather than admit he's wrong, he'll tell me that I shouldn't have been "snooping" (even though it's a family computer) and that it doesn't matter. What should I do?
